LED light treatment

Yesterday i had a complimentary LED light session at the beauty salon.

OMG my skin - redness gone down, pores disappeared.

Am so tempted to do a course. So expensive though. Has anyone else used it? Is it worth it? How many do you need to do and how often for it to have a long term effect?

So I'm on day 4 of trying out the mask and other than scaring myself when I take a selfie wearing it, I have to say that it's no hassle at all. I just put it on before bedtime for about 20 minutes and I do think that I can see some benefit so I'm gonna try it for next month and report back.

ParadiseLaundry · 03/07/2018 14:55

I bought the mask (same as fluffycloud's) off the back of this thread.

I have acne that i have been treating with benzoyl peroxide, acne scars and my skin was looking dull, dry and just generally awful.

It's been less than a week and the difference is amazing. I didn't expect to get such an improvement with the acne so quickly but I really have. I have way less little pimples (that flare up into big sore spots as well as looking generally awful Sad). My scars have faded more in the last five days than they have in the last five weeks and my skin tone is loads better and my skin looks more plumped and less haggard.

The only downside is it's quite a commitment to wear it for 30-60 mins every day. But of course it's so worth it. Really hope it carries on improving at this rate! Thank you for starting this thread OP and the @recommendations!

I know Paradise - it's bloody brilliant! so chuffed for you.
I've only been using it for 25 mins - I need to up my game!
Also did anyone else read that you should have 5 days on and then 2 days rest?

HappyKatieA · 03/07/2018 18:23

Oh, I assumed you do a day then miss a day... I thought it was 4 x 30 mins for the first week!

HesterHare · 03/07/2018 18:56

Mine arrived at the weekend (the e project one), it says start with one ten minute treatment 4x a week then up it to 20mins and once you see the results you want you can drop it down to twice a week. I want to use the red parricularly but also the blue and green lights so was thinking for the first week I'd do 2 red and one of each of the others then begin adding them together e.g. Monday- 10 of red and 10 of blue, Wednesday- 10 red, 10 green, Friday- 10 red, 10 blue, Saturday- 10 red, 10 green. But I'll see how I get on. Certainly won't be doing an hour a day!

princesstiasmum · 03/07/2018 19:33

I am very tempted, but waiting to see what results others get first,
Would really like to know how it is with lines and wrinkles, not many actual wrinkles, but waiting and watching,
Most seem to be pleased it helps acne which i dont have
I have looked at the litestim mentioned up the thread,it sounds pretty good too, but reviews not as good as for the masks
Also would like one with neck piece

princesstiasmum · 03/07/2018 21:33

I have now ordered the same as Fluffy, hope it works

Delatron · 03/07/2018 21:34

Would also like to know impact on fine lines and wrinkles. I don't have acne and skin is good on the whole. Does it tighten?

princesstiasmum · 03/07/2018 22:50

Delatron i am hoping the same, i have had various gadgets, which were supposed to work like that, i think some are just playing on womens insecurities, but always willing to try them just in case they work Hmm

Kitsmummy · 04/07/2018 08:50

I have just bought a project e one off the back of this thread...can anyone tell me which colour mask will help with rosacea (red skin) please?

princesstiasmum · 04/07/2018 09:13

It should tell you in instructions, i would think,or on their website,or look on Amazon there are some guides on there

bumhead · 04/07/2018 18:21

itsBritneyBeach · 04/07/2018 18:22

Britney i have ordered the same as you and says its been dispatched, due to arrive tomorrow!

bumhead · 04/07/2018 18:53

Right I'm back. According to EDS forum the red light needs to be 630 or 660 nm to be effective.
I found this video:

LED light treatment
HesterHare · 04/07/2018 20:11

I read that as well bumhead and wanted one at the upper end of the scale but from what I could find those ones were a lot more expensive.

bumhead · 05/07/2018 06:47

Hester from what I can understand, hydroponics shops should have these panels extremely cheaply. I found one on Amazon for £30. As that lady in the youtube vid says it's just marketing and the actual panels don't cost much at all.

HesterHare · 05/07/2018 07:28

I read about the panels as well but someone on a forum, not from a company who makes the masks AFAIK, said the LEDs have to be as close you your face as possible so the panels can be a bit awkward to use.

princesstiasmum · 05/07/2018 15:58

My mask has arrived, cant wait to try it tonight, its the gold one
The packaging is very secure and took me ages to actually get to it,

bumhead · 05/07/2018 19:47

Mine is here too.
I did 20 min red light and then just now 20 min green light. I have melasma and read a couple of things about how red light could make that worse, does anyone here know if that's true?

princesstiasmum · 05/07/2018 20:25

Just googled your questionbumhead, and answer was sunlihjy can affect melasma but red light therapy not known to
I would google it if i were you just to double check,
I hope not

bumhead · 05/07/2018 21:01

Thanks Princess I'm hoping not too because my melasma is pretty bad but I also want the anti ageing of the red lights. I don't know if the green alone will deal with that too

princesstiasmum · 05/07/2018 21:43

I haven;t had a chance to even look at mine properly yet, going to in about 20 minutes
I would definitely look to see what info you can find before you go any further with it
Hope it will be ok for you
