This is really embarrassing but could you please tell me which dress you prefer?

I would never normally do this, being the size of an elephant and everything, but I have a wedding very soon and need to pick a dress. Have had mixed opinions so far so hoping to get more opinions (sorry about the state of my living room as well)

Please try not to laugh at my headless pictures, I've name changed as I post quite a lot and don't want to be outed

The green I feel more comfortable in as it doesn't cling, is comfy and is my favourite colour. But the high neckline makes my already huge boobs look matronly (I am wearing a new, well fitting bra so it's not the bra making them look saggy but the dress!)

The blue I prefer the neckline but feel the top is too big and the bottom part too small (hate that you can see my tummy as well )

I have ginger hair, blue eyes and as you can see, Casper skin!!

Any tips on how you would style either dress? I have no idea! I can only wear small heels but would prefer flats even though I don't think they would go. The shoes I'm wearing are just to see what the dresses look like with tights and shoes! Oh, and to make it more difficult I need size 9 extra wide fit so not many places I can buy shoes from Sad

Please help me!!

I see the green one with contrasting flats (or a wedge) and clutch. Look across the colour wheel to a strongish purple or an orangey red (coral?) to make it a bit more summery. A statement necklace and ring, or bracelet and ring (not all three!).

You look lovely.

SleepingStandingUp · 14/06/2018 00:46

Green but not with black tights. If you don't want to go bare, get decent nude / natural tights.

This ^^. The green looks really fabulous. The black tights definitely don't work. Wear heels.

You don't need a necklace - it would spoil the neckline. I would do a plain silver bangle/earrings at the very most.

I'm going to go against the majority and say the blue it's more flattering. The green emphasises yr boobs too much and having been blessed with ample ones I understand yr dilemma! You could fake tan. Dove gradual for fair skin-I'm also a ginge it's a good one subtle. Plus maybe some nude/neutral kitten heels to take the heaviness of the navy. They wouldn't be flat or too high then. You have a lovely curvy figure. Have a great time.

Fivelittleduckies · 14/06/2018 01:01

Love the green on you! You look great- don’t be so hard on yourself Flowers

OlennasWimple · 14/06/2018 01:02

Green dress, nude tights (M&S ones are great), either a big bangle or dangly earrings (this is where you are going to draw attention to) and flats with as high a heel as you can bear without crippling yourself. Clutch bag, great blow dry, you will look amazing

BigFatBloomers · 14/06/2018 02:02

I like the green best and I came on to link to the same Joe Brown shoes as a pp. I think they’d look great with the dress.

Perhaps a necklace a bit like this

Just popping this here OP. I saw it on Gemma Collins and I will say it looked lovely on her. In case you want a younger more summery look.

I like the interesting neckline and waistline of the green. And you aren't the size of an elephant.

endthefarts · 14/06/2018 07:11

Green! With lovely shoes and make up it will be perfect. I love the colour and it’s a flattering cut with an interesting neckline. I don’t think it gives you the dreaded matronly boobs at all.

And you’re not the size of an elephant - you actually look a really nice shape.

BoneThugs · 14/06/2018 07:49

Definitely the green. It’s very flattering and your boobs look great in it! Maybe jazz it up a bit though. Dont wear the black tights with it. Maybe no tights and a nice heeled shoe. And a simple necklace and earrings set. A smokey eye will look good with the 1950’s curl. You’ll look beautiful. Oh and you are definitely not the size of an elephant

LoveProsecco · 14/06/2018 07:59

You look lovely! I prefer the green, it's a fab standout colour

LoveProsecco · 14/06/2018 08:02

Ps you defo need to ditch the black tights though for nude. I have horrible white legs and even with fake tan on I don't feel comfortable having them out. But nude tights give a better look. Though carry a spare pair as they rip easily!

SpaSushi · 14/06/2018 08:04

Green

furryleopard · 14/06/2018 08:05

I actually like the blue (and the green) but think the blue without the black tights and nude tights instead and some nice shoes maybe a wedge, and a lovely necklace would look great.

You have a lovely figure and can def pull off either dress!

ForTheLoveOfCakes · 14/06/2018 08:06

I love the green one. I think it's stylist and very flattering. Really lovely 😊

Charley50 · 14/06/2018 08:09

The green is gorgeous really suits you. And just wear some nice trendy flats. Why be uncomfortable? You won't see any men wearing uncomfortable heels at a wedding for hours on end.
If you wear heels ... bring flats with you.

Loopytiles · 14/06/2018 08:13

Both look great on you, good shapes etc, so if you can afford it keep both dresses!

Slightly prefer the green because the colour appeals. Agree with PPs about nude tights.

sallievp · 14/06/2018 08:16

You look really good in the green dress...stylish and also sexy

Charley50 · 14/06/2018 08:17

I've read the thread now and also agree about the nude tights or legs and gold flats and accessories.

Deathraystare · 14/06/2018 08:25

Prefer the blue style but the green colour (just to be bl**dy awkward!)

LadyOfTheCanyon · 14/06/2018 08:29

The kimono dress linked to upthread would look fabulous on you. The pattern would distract from the boob issue a little.
I say this as a 36G, dressing my boobs is always easier in a bold pattern than a block colour.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 14/06/2018 08:39

How’s your sewing, OP? I would just cut the top of the slit, fold back the sides into a V and sew it down. It would be easy to reverse if it looked silly.

Nakedavenger74 · 14/06/2018 08:43

Green. Blue is too booby. But please please lose the opaque tights, they look awful and you look too wintery. Go get a spray tan or st tropez. Good pedi and you'll look fab!

SporkInTheToaster · 14/06/2018 08:59

Green.

But blimey, you apologise way too much for yourself, OP. Someone really did a number on your self esteem Sad. You look good in the green dress. I agree that the tights and shoes are a bit ‘heavy’ for it and I’d go for no tights or light ones with a paler shoe, if you can.
