This is really embarrassing but could you please tell me which dress you prefer?

I would never normally do this, being the size of an elephant and everything, but I have a wedding very soon and need to pick a dress. Have had mixed opinions so far so hoping to get more opinions (sorry about the state of my living room as well)

Please try not to laugh at my headless pictures, I've name changed as I post quite a lot and don't want to be outed

The green I feel more comfortable in as it doesn't cling, is comfy and is my favourite colour. But the high neckline makes my already huge boobs look matronly (I am wearing a new, well fitting bra so it's not the bra making them look saggy but the dress!)

The blue I prefer the neckline but feel the top is too big and the bottom part too small (hate that you can see my tummy as well )

I have ginger hair, blue eyes and as you can see, Casper skin!!

Any tips on how you would style either dress? I have no idea! I can only wear small heels but would prefer flats even though I don't think they would go. The shoes I'm wearing are just to see what the dresses look like with tights and shoes! Oh, and to make it more difficult I need size 9 extra wide fit so not many places I can buy shoes from Sad

Please help me!!

Yes, the green looks more flattering. And you are NOT the size of an elephant! Also think your red hair would contrast beautifully with the green. Smile

itssquidstella · 13/06/2018 19:31

The green one! Suits you :)

ALiensAbductedMe · 13/06/2018 19:32

They are both lovely. Just a thought, I recently went to a wedding and was so hot and bothered and was so red and sweaty! Just mentioning because they both look quite warm dresses.

HomerDancing · 13/06/2018 19:32

Green !

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 13/06/2018 19:33

Green from me too. I do like the blue but I think the sleeves are not quite right - maybe too long or wide?
I agree that you need less heavy tights and shoes.

ShirleyPhallus · 13/06/2018 19:33

The green looks really lovely on you

The blue could benefit from some Spanx just to give you a smoother silhouette but is nice too

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 13/06/2018 19:33

The green one is beautiful. I'd see if I could find a statement collar style necklace in gold tones and perhaps wedges.

LoniceraJaponica · 13/06/2018 19:34

If the wedding is a summer one won't you be too warm? Both dresses are nice, but look very wintery, especially with black tights.

AmazingPostVoices · 13/06/2018 19:34

I like both with a slight preference for the green - I bet it looks amazing with your red hair!

MissKummerspeck · 13/06/2018 19:35

OOh I love the green one! Gorgeous Smile

WhiskeySourpuss · 13/06/2018 19:35

Definitely green it's lovely & really flattering - gives a nice shape & highlights your waist.

Flats would work & I'd wear them with that dress - probably gold because I have some, some nice gold earrings (maybe a bangle but I'm not sure with the length of the sleeves) & a gold clutch but not a glittery thing.

I'd go with bare legs & treat myself to a spray tan being Casper like myself

oooompa · 13/06/2018 19:35

Do you think a seamstress would be able to alter the neckline? I honestly would never normally wear something with such a high neckline with having a large chest but it was the only thing I found that wasn't too firm fitting. I'm an hourglass figure but things that are a bit tighter make me very self conscious of my stomach (I have a B shaped tummy, if that makes sense?)

I am imagining it with flats and I know it won't look as good as heels Sad I'm not very edgy at all and don't really follow fashion trends, would wedges work if they were all one colour and very plain?

The wedding is in Summer and I think I'd feel a bit of a fool wearing black opaque tights but my legs are very pale and ugly (ugly due to bumps and bruises), I never ever bare my legs.

Would black tights really be silly for a summer wedding?

Thank you all, I feel like a bit of an idiot!

You aren't the size of an elephant.
The green looks lovely on you. The tights look a bit heavy, I would go for a less denier.
Is this for a summer or autumn wedding? That would affect my choice of tights, shoes and accessories.

FrancesV83 · 13/06/2018 19:36

They both look lovely but the green really suits you 😊

Misericord · 13/06/2018 19:36

Green looks lovely and sounds like your colouring will make it even more so.

I would definitely ditch the black tights though - makes it look more workwear than wedding wear. Think flats would be fine, or low heels, but definitely ditch the black tights.

bubbles108 · 13/06/2018 19:36

The green and you look gorgeous - no elephants here

Ohyesiam · 13/06/2018 19:36

Green. Sorry to mention it but you have a fabulous bosomGrin

virginwhocantdrive · 13/06/2018 19:37

Both colours look good with your colouring actually.
I love the green more though.
You could pick either though as they both look lovely on you in my opinion

oooompa · 13/06/2018 19:37

Also sorry forgot to mention, yes the sleeves on the blue are really rather large, DP took a photo with me holding my arms out and I looked like a bat! It's a size 22 so if I went down a size it would definitely be too small on the bottom half.

Try some st tropez - you’ll look and feel loads better and never go back!

LoniceraJaponica · 13/06/2018 19:38

"Would black tights really be silly for a summer wedding?"

They would look out of place, and I agree with MIsericord that is makes the dress look more workwear than wedding dressy. Could you use some fake tan on your legs instead?

ShesABelter · 13/06/2018 19:39

I prefer the green for sure but think it would be better without black tights and bare legs or really natural looking nude tights. I wouldnt wear black tights to a summer wedding. You arent huge at all. Id get nice gold shoes same kind of style as the ones you are wearing and bag.

JurassicGirl · 13/06/2018 19:39

I think both look lovely but I think the green has the edge! I think i'd be temped to wear nude coloured tights as I it would show up the colour better. Smile

BibiThree · 13/06/2018 19:40

The green. It looks lovely, I think you're being hard on yourself

rebelrosie12 · 13/06/2018 19:40

Defo green! And I don't think you are as big as you think you are!
