This is really embarrassing but could you please tell me which dress you prefer?

I would never normally do this, being the size of an elephant and everything, but I have a wedding very soon and need to pick a dress. Have had mixed opinions so far so hoping to get more opinions (sorry about the state of my living room as well)

Please try not to laugh at my headless pictures, I've name changed as I post quite a lot and don't want to be outed

The green I feel more comfortable in as it doesn't cling, is comfy and is my favourite colour. But the high neckline makes my already huge boobs look matronly (I am wearing a new, well fitting bra so it's not the bra making them look saggy but the dress!)

The blue I prefer the neckline but feel the top is too big and the bottom part too small (hate that you can see my tummy as well )

I have ginger hair, blue eyes and as you can see, Casper skin!!

Any tips on how you would style either dress? I have no idea! I can only wear small heels but would prefer flats even though I don't think they would go. The shoes I'm wearing are just to see what the dresses look like with tights and shoes! Oh, and to make it more difficult I need size 9 extra wide fit so not many places I can buy shoes from Sad

Please help me!!

Nude tights not black. Both are nice but the green does look nicer and I’m sure will work well with your colouring. You don’t have matronly boobs, you just have boobs!

longtallwalker · 13/06/2018 20:02

Green. It looks lovely on you (if you're the model!). Wear it with a stunning great chunk of jewellery. You'll look fab! X

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/06/2018 20:02

You are beautiful in green, especially with red hair !
Could you wear nude tights, as you have lovely legs.
Look at Reiker shoes OP, I've just bought some lovely ones, with a small heel and an ankle strap, they are multi coloured and would look great with your outfit.

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 13/06/2018 20:03

I think they both (and you) look lovely. I'm another vote for nude tights - there's great for disguising blotches and bruises and just holding everything in a bit (speaking for myself not you!) You can even get ones to wear with open toes which I've done in the past. I'll try and find a link - I think it's M&S that do them.

TornFromTheInside · 13/06/2018 20:03

I'm male. The green.
The blue is also nice, but a little formal / staid. The green adds a little colour / life.

Your figure is lovely.

picklemepopcorn · 13/06/2018 20:03

Lush used to do a coloured bar to massage over pale skin. It takes the glow off!

You could get away with flat jewelled sandals if you had bare feet.

You could consider wearing a thin scarf draped over your shoulders to break up the bust line a bit.

You look lovely!

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 13/06/2018 20:03

Green. It gives a good waistline. Looks good!

Bluntness100 · 13/06/2018 20:03

I'd also say the green gives you a waist and makes you look shapely, the blue is just shapeless, no waist, no boobs, no nothing,,

Hopeful16 · 13/06/2018 20:03

Have you tried Sally Hensen Airbrush Legs??? It's like foundation but for your legs. Doesn't come off if you get warm and is easy to apply. I worried it would come off the first time I used it but swear by it now- even sleep without washing it off and it doesn't come off on the sheets 😳 Just find a suitable colour and it'll even out the tone of your legs and cover blemishes.

kateandme · 13/06/2018 20:04

I cant believe ive never come across toe less tights.wow.brilliant

picklemepopcorn · 13/06/2018 20:06

Ooh, silver sandals, silver scarf.

oooompa · 13/06/2018 20:07

@TheFirstMrsOsmond Casper skin, otherwise known (to me anyway!!) really pale skin, I don't ever tan in the sun, just get a bit freckly!

Ohh the B shaped tummy Blush I know I sound crazy, but on my side profile, if I wear something tight, you have my boobs. And then instead of having a round tummy (like maybe a larger apple shape woman might have) I have one sticky out tummy after my boobs. That tummy then goes in and then I have a lower pouch which sticks out even further than the first one! So it kind of reminds me of a B shape! That's why I've always felt self conscious of wearing anything clingy, even though I have a more hourglass figure, if I wear something form fitting I feel like it just shows off all my pouches Blush I know I sound like an idiot right now!

I love the green dress on you. Dove gradual tanner is brilliant (i always streak with fake tan usually too!) Flesh tights will be great as well if you like having the security of feeling like your legs are covered. The blue dress would also look fantastic with a gold belt.

And you are not the size of an elephant at all, it has made me sad you feel that way - you look beautiful and have curves to die for. Don't put yourself down!

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 13/06/2018 20:07

I see I crossed posts with another toe-less tights fan Grin

RideOn · 13/06/2018 20:09

Green, you look nice.

WindDoesNotBreakTheBendyTree · 13/06/2018 20:09

The green fits you better - fits you well - and flatters. The colour is lovely and sounds like it will be stunning with your hair colour.

No to black tights, they kill the colour, but also the skimminess of the hem (is it asymmetrical?) . I'd go for red or metallic shoes. Nude tights or really practice fake tan. Not too deep just very fair but enough. Dry run it at the weekend. Once you have done it once you will be fine.

I'd go for a low block heeled mule/slingback like this but not the ridiculous price or this(sold out)

M&S, unbelieveably, had some nice shoes in when I walked through last week....

Mycatiskillingme · 13/06/2018 20:10

We how tastes differ, I find the green doesn’t look like it fits that well and much prefer the blue.

Crusoe · 13/06/2018 20:10

Both look good but I really would ditch the dark tights. A pair of nude really sheer tights would look so much better.
Some eye catching jewellery and you’ll look great.

CorianderDestroysFamilies · 13/06/2018 20:10

I love the blue! I’d add a skinny red belt to emphasise your waist but it looks amazing without.

FindoGask · 13/06/2018 20:10

Green! Gorgeous on you.

Almostthere15 · 13/06/2018 20:11

Another one saying green.

I'd do toeless tights, or mix some cheap foundation with body lotion for your legs. A wedge heel (peeptoe) would go with the whole Rita vibe and I love gold and green personally.

ChishandFips33 · 13/06/2018 20:11

Team green here too!
Some red shoes would look fab

Just do a quick water test on the dress that it doesn't change colour - (thinking sweat patches)

FindoGask · 13/06/2018 20:11

(I like the black tights too, but I fear I'm alone on this)

KingIrving · 13/06/2018 20:12

You are not an elephant, you are curvy and the green dress gives you an amazing figure.
Nothing wrong with the neckline, don't touch it. It is elegant and glamorous as it is.
Yes to getting rid of the black tights and if you could have fake tan professional applied better. I see so many fake tan horrors.
You are gorgeous , have a great time

Chocolategirl79 · 13/06/2018 20:13

The green one is lovely and really suits you. It fits you much better too!
