This is really embarrassing but could you please tell me which dress you prefer?

I would never normally do this, being the size of an elephant and everything, but I have a wedding very soon and need to pick a dress. Have had mixed opinions so far so hoping to get more opinions (sorry about the state of my living room as well)

Please try not to laugh at my headless pictures, I've name changed as I post quite a lot and don't want to be outed

The green I feel more comfortable in as it doesn't cling, is comfy and is my favourite colour. But the high neckline makes my already huge boobs look matronly (I am wearing a new, well fitting bra so it's not the bra making them look saggy but the dress!)

The blue I prefer the neckline but feel the top is too big and the bottom part too small (hate that you can see my tummy as well )

I have ginger hair, blue eyes and as you can see, Casper skin!!

Any tips on how you would style either dress? I have no idea! I can only wear small heels but would prefer flats even though I don't think they would go. The shoes I'm wearing are just to see what the dresses look like with tights and shoes! Oh, and to make it more difficult I need size 9 extra wide fit so not many places I can buy shoes from Sad

Please help me!!

Blue. It’s a more flattering neckline. As a PP said, add a waist belt, sheer tights and some metallic accessories and it will look lovely.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/06/2018 19:53

The green.

I put cheap Superdrug foundation on my legs if I’m wearing something short to a wedding. Usually on my knees.

Redcrayons · 13/06/2018 19:53

Another vote for green.
I'm not keen on the black tights though. Can you slap a load of fake tan on and hope for the best?

iwishicouldbelikedavidwatts · 13/06/2018 19:54

green, vintage-y wedges, sparkly bits :)

Verbena37 · 13/06/2018 19:54

I also think green. If you have time and can find someone who does little alterations, you could easily change that green dress neckline to make it a v neckline...making you feel more ‘boob happy’ but that’s only an extra, not an essential.

Will you be wearing black tights at the wedding?
Are they not very hot? Maybe nude tights would be less wintry looking or bare legs with lighter wedge sandals rather than the more formal, wintry shoes?

Crookshanks24 · 13/06/2018 19:54

Green! It's beautiful and you look lovely 😍

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 13/06/2018 19:54

Another team Green here. Nude tights and shoes? Like the idea of going 50s starlet style with pincurls and red lipstick.

Love the fact that you've covered the rocking horse's head with a sheet for anonymity Grin

AsAProfessionalFekko · 13/06/2018 19:55

Green. M&s have side fitting shoes.

Theusual · 13/06/2018 19:55

Green with nude tights. I wear the M&S toeless ones which are very sheer but also make your legs look much smoother.

Verbena37 · 13/06/2018 19:56

Maybe more like these wedges

happihannible68 · 13/06/2018 19:56

Personally I like the cut & style of the blue and the addition of a necklace would take the eye away from boob level. Silver coloured accessories would be perfect i.e. Necklace and wrap around bracelet would be nice But either way you'll look lovely x

I like the green one- I think it looks lovely on you Smile

Cakemadeoffruit · 13/06/2018 19:57

I think both dresses are lovely on you. I know what you mean about the high neck on the green (fellow big boobs here) but a lovely round statement necklace which hangs a couple of inches below the neckline, would really draw the eye upwards away from the norks. Nude tights would give you a more summery feel and if you are comfortable in flats wear them. Being able to move freely is far more foxy than looking uncomfortable like Bambi on ice.

pieceofpurplesky · 13/06/2018 19:58

I have this dress which would also look fabulous on you

lurchermummy · 13/06/2018 19:58

I think the blue is more flattering to the boobs and figure (actually I am a very similar shape to you and I love that dress.....) but possibly it's more of a conservative option. The green is more eye catching. I like the idea of the rita heyworth vibe. At the end of the day I'd say go for what you feel more comfortable in.

FesteringCarbuncle · 13/06/2018 19:58

The green one looks lovely

BitOutOfPractice · 13/06/2018 19:59

I'm so glad everyone is saying green because I love the gree.

Do you have a really statementy necklace to go with it and then pick up the main colour from that in the shoes.

And of course to nude tights. Don't wear opaques, it spoils the dress

have a lovely time and know that you look fab!

Fintress · 13/06/2018 19:59

Definitely the green, it looks fabulous on you. What about some low wedges, if you go peep toe you can get 'sandal' tights from Marks & Spencer in various shades of tan, they are very sheer and look great. Add some chunky jewellery to set it off.

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 13/06/2018 20:00

I absolutely love the green, it looks fab on you.

TheFirstMrsOsmond · 13/06/2018 20:00

Definitely the green, especially as you say you have ginger hair.
But I have to ask:
What is Casper skin?
And what is a B shaped tummy?!

Bluntness100 · 13/06/2018 20:01

Another vote for the green here, it's lovely.

But no, thick black tights aren't working. Defintely fo for nude with a nude shoe. You will look gorgeous. The neckline doesn't need altering.

The blue is unflattering as the top is too big for you.

oooompa · 13/06/2018 20:01

@IlikemyTeahot thank you so much, that made me smile! Boobs are definitely down to the bra, these days I'm in a nursing bra that doesn't fit at all and makes them look like a bag of peas!!

I will have a look at the shapewear in primark, hopefully they stock my size!

Unfortunately the dress doesn't tie round the back (my mum suggested that as well) as the ties sit slightly on the front of the dress instead of exactly on the sides, so it doesn't lie correctly

@ILostItInTheEarlyNineties I was planning on red lipstick, I'm definitely a bold lipstick lover and have a really nice Mac lipstick I can wear Smile The actual clothes horse was full so the rocking horse had to do a job Grin I swear that living room was tidy this morning....

The blue is my favourite as the neckline is much more flattering. Both are nice but are a bit dark for summer. You definitely are not an elephant and I can't see any tummy.

susej · 13/06/2018 20:01

Green!
