This is really embarrassing but could you please tell me which dress you prefer?

I would never normally do this, being the size of an elephant and everything, but I have a wedding very soon and need to pick a dress. Have had mixed opinions so far so hoping to get more opinions (sorry about the state of my living room as well)

Please try not to laugh at my headless pictures, I've name changed as I post quite a lot and don't want to be outed

The green I feel more comfortable in as it doesn't cling, is comfy and is my favourite colour. But the high neckline makes my already huge boobs look matronly (I am wearing a new, well fitting bra so it's not the bra making them look saggy but the dress!)

The blue I prefer the neckline but feel the top is too big and the bottom part too small (hate that you can see my tummy as well )

I have ginger hair, blue eyes and as you can see, Casper skin!!

Any tips on how you would style either dress? I have no idea! I can only wear small heels but would prefer flats even though I don't think they would go. The shoes I'm wearing are just to see what the dresses look like with tights and shoes! Oh, and to make it more difficult I need size 9 extra wide fit so not many places I can buy shoes from Sad

Please help me!!

If you put on the instant tan lotion and mix in foundation that you wear you will get a flawless tan but the foundation will cover blemishes on your legs etc and perhaps bruises

Mycatiskillingme · 13/06/2018 20:15

I like these shoes, which would go with either dress

The green dress is better but I think you need to add a chunky necklace of some sort preferably gold

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 13/06/2018 20:15

I would go for nude tights (M&S do some good ones in various denier) and nude block heeled sandals. They will lengthen your legs and be nice and secure to walk on. (Falling off stilettos at a wedding, not a good look!). The green is lovely.

pallisers · 13/06/2018 20:17

love the green one - gives you a great figure and is a lovely colour. I would do nude tights and maybe a glittery/jewelled necklace (not a long one - one that matches the neckline).

goose1964 · 13/06/2018 20:18

The green is lovely, It needs a statement necklace though

BristolBetty · 13/06/2018 20:19

Definitely the green, but with nude tights. The tie bit and the gentle gathering in the skirt flatter your lovely hourglass figure and the high neckline looks very stylish.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 13/06/2018 20:19

I'd choose the blue, with a red belt, earrings and necklace.

But you look stunning in both.

dontticklethetoad · 13/06/2018 20:20

Definitely green, because

a) red hair and green is a match made in heaven!
b) you look better in it than the simplybe model.

I think like pp have said, nude (toe less) tights, chunky wedges and red lipstick.
I also think a statement /chunky necklace will break up the high neck on the dress.

Mamabear4180 · 13/06/2018 20:20

The green is more flattering even with the big boobs, I actually think your boobs look great in it, I'm big breasted and always used to wear v necks but it's not necessary for everything. The green is nicer on your waist, the blue makes your lower half look dumpy but the green gives you an overall lovely shape. I'd style with some jangly bracelets and wedge heels or something, I wouldn't do flats as the dress is long so you want a bit of height. What about patterned tights to show off your legs a bit?

TheBigFatMermaid · 13/06/2018 20:21

The green is stunning and I agree about the neck line. It looks to me as though there is a little join at the neck, then a split. That would make it super easy for anyone with half a clue how to sew to turn it into a v-neck for you.

I would wear a dress like that with leggings, but I really am the size of an elephant, unlike you.

I think you could wear tights and flat shoes are perfectly acceptable.

PretABoire · 13/06/2018 20:21

State of your living room 😂 are you joking? The green is stunning but the blue suits you too.

ZenNudist · 13/06/2018 20:21

Youre a knockout in the green. Id say nude tights if you wont go bare legged. shoes in nude, gold (possibly light pink) or silver. Take ballet flats to change into. Nude heels would work a la kate M.

If you had some briggt orange high heels and bag plus scarf which has cream base and flashes of same bright colour ite woukd really lift the dress but thats maybe difficult to find.

If you really wanted to wear black tights maybe sheer then glittery heels.

oooh just seen these

AnnaFiveTowns · 13/06/2018 20:24

Green. It looks great - you've got a lovely figure.

SciFiFan2015 · 13/06/2018 20:25

Blue. With lighter tights those are too dark. What about fishnets? They'll look fab with that dress. Or find nice nude tights you feel confident in and nude shoes that match the tights as much as possible.
The blue is much nicer.

Tipsylizard · 13/06/2018 20:26

I love the green (and your boobs do look great!) but please not with black tights and shoes....if you are going for a vintage vibe with the hair why not match with some vintage style shoes? Something like this (Bettie Page 50's sling backs) but maybe in a different colour? With bare legs or low denier tights.

Will look amazing with a pin curl Smile

AnnieAnoniMouser · 13/06/2018 20:27

🌷you are not the size of an elephant, not at all.

I don’t think either dress is as flattering as a dress could be on you. In fact, if I knew you better I’d ask you if you were after the time of Robin Hood 😉. You have a lovely shape, you just need to find a dress that suits you.

I would suggest you book a free session with an assistant in John Lewis and let them loose...you don’t have to buy anything and you will find the styles that suit you best.

Both of those dresses are too ‘wintery’ for a summer wedding. Definite NO to black tights.

A summer dress, with a very light weight summer cardi would look infinitely better than long sleeves. You might find something with better sleeves though.

Embrace your lovely young self, stop dissing yourself and accept we all have imperfections. Your legs will be far from the worst pair there, it’s summer, let them be free! 😊

Youaremysunshine4eva · 13/06/2018 20:28

The green looks lovely

CountFosco · 13/06/2018 20:30

I think I slightly prefer the shape of the blue but agree the green will look great with your colouring. As far as shoes go get some statement pointy flat -enbrogue has some good suggestions, a fab clutch and wear nude tights. You'll look fab!

Quodlibet · 13/06/2018 20:30

Green - and your boobs look amazing!! Not matronly at all. You have a gorgeous hourglass shape.

CountFosco · 13/06/2018 20:31

And don't fake tan, be pale and interesting, so much classier.

TheWoollybacksWife · 13/06/2018 20:31

What about these shoes from Matalan?

Both are lovely dresses. You obviously suit jewel colours.

petrolpump28 · 13/06/2018 20:31

blue every time.

ApplesTheHare · 13/06/2018 20:32

The green is gorgeous on you!!
