Here we go again... A merry whirl of things of things that smell delicious (and sometimes not).

Why do you think that's the last bargain bottle of FF Fennel? Just curious - have they stopped making it?

I don't think they've stopped making it MrsL but there's absolutely nothing on ebay atm (apart from the gift set) and I can otherwise only see it on the Friedemodin site shop - in the UK at least.

I was on here a little bit ago wondering if I should spend a shed load of money on a mild citrus fragrance (absolutely amazed that you all said no), bought some samples but nothing satisfied.

Ended up shelling out £158 on 50ml of Tom Ford's Vert des Fleurs. So twice as expensive per ml as the original one I was thinking of.

Tried it at the weekend and fell in love!

Couldn't stop sniffing the sample card. To me it smells of cut grass circa 1976 (early in the year before the hosepipe ban) I couldn't get over how much it took me back to the 70s, even wondering if my mum had a perfume that smelled similar - Tweed? Tramp? Then got home and read that it was an homage to the 70s!

Also like Neroli Portofino, but reminds me a bit much of orange blossom by Jo Malone, which is tainted by having previously been a gift from my ex.

Oh, Dalmatian we do come with a wallet warning. glad you have found something you love. For TF on the cheap try it makes your bathroom smell wonderful if you drop it

Sounds delicious Dalmatian. Tweed is surprisingly complex and, if I remember correctly, quite animalic (borderline skanky). Will try it again later, as was really surprised on first wear. Had been expecting a powdery-fern.

Tweed is one I cannot do- my mother used to wear it on long car journeys when I was incredibly travel sick and now I just have an association! It’s the same with Chanel No 5 sadly and rive gauche. SOTD Body shop Italian Summer Fig which I picked up in an outlet for about £8. Cheap and cheerful but quite delicate and pretty on. I really need to stop this month - I’ve hidden the eBay app after winning two bottles last week of randomness I wanted to try.

SOTD is Frapin's Isle of Man, from the Bloom Beach pack. Quite liked this in the top notes - almost pineapple-y but not too sweet (I don't think the Isle of Man smells of pineapples, does it?!) but in the drydown it's just quite a generic woody musk with a big TMV issue (Too Much Vetiver).

In Heeleys St Clements today. One of Geralds Decants 10mls bottles. I wish I could get 10 mls of Heeleys Verveine, Sel marin and the figgy one anywhere.I always associate them with summer and sunny days.

SotD Dryad. I'm needing grown up perfumes at the moment after going all citrussy for a few weeks when it warmed up. Chypre overdose for me .

Very jealous hearing about Fennel's Bloom Beach pack, I went for the Zest and Fizz but was very tempted by the Beach set. And I'd like to remind you gives Fennel a hard stare over the top of my glasses there is no such thing as Too Much Vetiver! TMV = too much vanilla obviously.

Can there ever be too much vanilla!!?

Sotd is PP Pom Noir - will definitely buy this again.

I went to an out of town TK Maxx today, hoping I would find lots of amazing perfumes that nobody there knew about. No luck.

I did get some new feather pillows for the the bed and some lovely Argan oil hand wash. Currently typing this whilst lying on the bed, testing the new pillows using it as an excuse to procrastinate.

My four crowdfunded scents from 4160 arrived today. I’m wearing Truth Beauty freedom Love and it’s lovely! Apricot and summer fields. Really pleased I went for this: looking forward to trying the other three.

I know. It was a particularly bad delivery day today. The 4160s and the two jo malone orders (admittedly some of that was presents) and the two random bottles from eBay. I have taken the credit card out of my purse and will enjoy what I have for a bit.

I've given my aunt some of my not so successful PP scents so I have more room theoretically...

Until my e bay purchases arrive anyway 😁

Talking of PPs MrsReynolds I’ve just binned their version of Addict. It’s really bad. The real thing is gorgeous.

Work has mainly been frustrating. People related but also GDPR frustrations continue. Ironically I’m starting to feel very harassed by the many GDPR emails requesting consent - at work and in my private life!
