So I do have a penchant for some ‘ethnic’ style jewellery and a billowy frock. And a bit of beading/embroidery/sequins/faux fur. I think I pull it off Grin but no matter what I wear this is what I look like. You could put me in a trouser suit and I’d still look like a art/drama teacher. What’s that all about? What’s your inescapable style?

Mary Poppins in workwear and Waynetta Slob our of hours!

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 10/01/2018 18:53

Oh dear, I’m afraid my normal daytime look would be very much a slightly overweight Jilly Cooper. All gilets, sweaters, Barbour and Dubarry. My going out and evening looks are very much of the Dawn French school of presentation. Immaculate glossy hair and make up and a mainly black ensemble with a touch of bright colour in jewellery, or tunic dress. This is the year I lose a few stone..........

silkpyjamasallday · 10/01/2018 18:56

DP has described my look as 'teenage reprobate' GrinI do often resemble my teenaged BILs to be fair and have developed a bit of a problem with buying trainers. If I wear something feminine like a dress or skirt it is always with chunky boots or trainers unless I need to look 'proper' in which case I have loafers or ballet flats. I do break out the occasional kimono or fur coat to mix it up a bit, but I've grown to quite like looking genderless and anonymous.

MaggieMay23 · 10/01/2018 18:56

Casual scruff. Aged art teacher

suckonthatmaureen · 10/01/2018 19:02

In my head I go for the Clemence Posey/Parisian street style look.
In reality I look like I've not tried.

GhettoFabulous · 10/01/2018 19:05

Soviet Army Mother if I'm wearing my overcoat and fur hat, Sexy Librarian otherwise.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 10/01/2018 19:10

I have no idea. I might ask DP. But considering he’s previously described me as ‘mumsy’ and ‘robust’, I may end up on here asking for advice on how to dispose of a body.

VivaLeBeaver · 10/01/2018 19:17

Also still stuck in a 90s student time warp especially when not at work. Aim for quirky professor style at work. Just think I Look scruffy 99% of the time.

FawnDrench · 10/01/2018 19:18

1960's moody but stable spinsterette with a penchant for wishy-washy, fragrant scarves...

DollyPartonsBeard · 10/01/2018 19:29

Recovering goth trying hard not to look like Camila Batmanjelidh.

Kittykatmacbill · 10/01/2018 19:43

Ha well I am a tubby short arse, who likes a bargain in the white stuff or gap sale. Maybe not the best look - if it could be called a look!

glitterglitters · 10/01/2018 19:45

Toddler and or Bianca from Eastenders 😂

CommanderDaisy · 10/01/2018 19:48

Alternative - wealthier hippy crossed with rock chick.

Quickchange1 · 10/01/2018 19:55

I am a creative arts teacher 😂 I think I was stylish side of indie. Now I'm more chunky quirky middle-aged teacher. Dh says I'm on the quirky side of smart

DeadButDelicious · 10/01/2018 20:00

Fat goth. Grin

Efferlunt · 10/01/2018 20:10

Farmers wife in very cold farmhouse ( my gillet belonged to my gran so is not height of glamour) I’m married to mr Normcore and he’s complained about how scruffy I am. If he wants me to look smarter he should heat the place!

whereiwanttobe · 10/01/2018 20:15

Asked my partner who's now dashed off to do the washing up rather than give me an answer! It's not looking good.....

SymphonyofShadows · 10/01/2018 20:17

Fat old punk. DC have likened me to Noel Fielding and DH reckons Edward Scissorhands with a skull handbag or Ken Dodd

KayaG · 10/01/2018 20:20

I'm a drama teacher - and it shows, apparently.

Doobigetta · 10/01/2018 20:22

Hmm. Someone pointed out to me today that I was channeling Mary Poppins- I had a fit and flare full length coat, a structured handbag and an umbrella. Wasn't the look I was going for, and I'm not at all sure it's a good thing, but she definitely had a point.

MorrisZapp · 10/01/2018 20:24

Liam Gallagher's blonde Scottish sister.

WhooooAmI24601 · 10/01/2018 20:30

DH calls my style "Glitter Barbie Chic". I sort of understand as there's lots of long swishy hair, fine knits in pastels and eccentric ankle boots with inappropriate heels. He says if Princess Poppy mated with Rainbow Brite I'd be the fruit of their loins.

ScreamingValenta · 10/01/2018 20:31

A mixture of 80s New Romantic and 90s grunge; well, as I like fondly to think! The reality is middle-aged office worker trying sadly to be a bit quirky Sad.

Babelange · 10/01/2018 20:34

Bimbo librarian Hmm
I think it was the short skirts but these were always teamed with thick black opaque tights and flats/polo jumpers!
Grin

Tortadellanonna · 10/01/2018 20:36

Witch going to diagon alley or extra from early mad men
