Mine is super early this year, I got a great one last year from this board. Personally I prefer sleeves (not a fan of my arms)
Seen anything good?

Bokky - I saw that dress too and it is lovely, Like you say it looks lovely on. though I darent buy it as trying it on in the changing room it just snowed glitter literally everywhere - so don't wear it in the house!

I love this too! But think i would look like a sack of spuds!

I love these dresses on this site! Got one for Christmas and apparently they are bringing a new range out soon!

@Furball Yes I did get lovely glittery shoes when trying it on but thought bollocks to it, if you can’t have a bit of glitter at Christmas then when can you?! Plus it was a bargain at £16! Ideal for the amount of times it will be worn!

Furball · 05/11/2017 21:37

Fair point bokky and you are right - But if I had it I'd have to get dressed in the garden Grin

marriednotdead · 05/11/2017 21:41

I have nowhere to wear this maxi dress but I'm sooo tempted. It looks better on, shouldn't have tried it!

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 05/11/2017 21:53

I completely surprised myself by ordering this one from Next as a back up choice and loving it!

Im doing day to evening so it’s boots into heels which both go well with this one.

I think I’ll get a lot of use from it too in the run up to Christmas and over the holidays.

Fab dresses! I have a really long body so dresses rarely sit right.I bought a black voile skirt from LindyBop in the sale which I've added a black satin ribbon too. Looks great with a boxy lace top I have and flat satin pumps. I am never, ever wearing heels again, far to uncomfortable.

Helena17 · 06/11/2017 09:43

I haven't really got one for Christmas party. But the suggestions here are quite good. I love the Glitter Twist Dress here but I think I will need to lose weight.

ferrier · 06/11/2017 10:36

Love your dress bokky and so many others posted. In fact have ordered two - the much admired Zara dress and the, for me very out of the box(!) oriental bottom jumpsuit. I've never worn a jumpsuit because of the faff going to the loo so it's going to have to be absolutely fabulous on for me to keep it.

trixymalixy · 06/11/2017 10:58

@dancingqueen345, could you link to your monsoon dress please?

Talisin · 06/11/2017 11:14

trixy, I believe it’s this one

MissBeehiving · 06/11/2017 19:37

So all the dresses I ordered have gone back, the Jessica Wright one being the best. So back to the drawing board

ferrier · 06/11/2017 19:51

Oh no Sad Why?

MissBeehiving · 06/11/2017 20:02

The Wallis one was static heaven and too big. The Issa one was too big. The DP one was ok but the shape wasn’t great on me. And the JW one was nice but not wow.

EvilRinguBitch · 06/11/2017 20:15

I tried on the midnight blue sequin M&S dress and I’m unconvinced. Neckline is lovely but I had body confidence issues - I think I’d need to try on again with 1,000 denier black tights, Spanx and heels.

Passthecake30 · 06/11/2017 21:20

Marking place. I don't like dresses
much as I don't tend to wear heels (6ft and tower over people) so on the look out for something that ticks all the boxes... before I give in and wear a top and trousers.

allinclusive · 06/11/2017 21:42

Pass the cake - try a jumpsuit, I'm 5foot1 and so wanting to wear one. With your height, you can do one justice x

Disabrie22 · 06/11/2017 22:40

I tried on the long sleeved very sparkley one on here from Monsoon but it looked terrible on me - my figure isnt skinny but not curvy and I think you need more waist to pull it off.

trixymalixy · 07/11/2017 17:18

I'm tall, but nowhere near as tall as 6ft and most jumpsuits are far too short for me....

ferrier · 07/11/2017 19:47

So - my Zara dress has arrived. I really like it - very flattering - but I haven't got the shoes right. What would go?

I've got this lovely vintage style midi dress. Black velvet and tulle! Perfect for me as I'm pretty tall and thinking I can just wear flats with it. www.clarenceandalabama.co.uk/collections/dresses/products/dancing-days-banned-retro-love-velvet-tulle-cocktail-dress
