Mine is super early this year, I got a great one last year from this board. Personally I prefer sleeves (not a fan of my arms)
Seen anything good?

Love the purple DP dress.. thank you for the other link, I've ordered it too! And found a discount code online for 15% off.

Thank you Madame. Because of you, I popped into Roman, but they didn’t have my size, plus it didn’t suit me.

But I did see these:

River island. Not that I have anything for them to go with. But just wow!

Tried on the Ted Baker velvet dress. On paper I was between sizes, in reality the smaller size fitted better. Lovely dress. Bugger. This is not me but a blogger who is the same size and height and age as me: TheFashionLift. It's too much money for a dress that would not give good cost per wear but I'd not be starving my children if I bought it.

That Ted Baker dress does look lovely on Count. How many press-ups and tricep dips do you think I could do in the next month? And is it eucarin cream the stuff that peels the lunps off upper arm skin?

I bought this in J Crew sale.

Oh golly, my christmas party outfit is quite muted compared to all of yours...
Top.
Which I was going to wear with black or grey skinnies, or trousers like these which I already have.
Amazing hair, make up and plenty of jewellery to jazz it all up. And maybe these heels?

Front crawl (I swim 4km a week) and yoga (lots of chaturanga) are the two things that have made my arms defined enough to consider this dress. Anything with urea in helps with the red bumpy skin on the upper arms I think (plus the more usual weight loss and exercise).

Sharon, I'd far rather my works Christmas event was more muted, your outfit is very cool. Everything else I'm dressing for over Christmas will be more casual so, e.g. my cheap sparkly skirt I wear with a slouchy jumper will get far more wear.

Considering a tulle skirt from ASOS as a cheaper alternative but that will require a pretty top and possibly a velvet jacket as well. At least I'd get more wear out of each thing though.

I’ve bought this M&S petite fit dress. It’s described as a midi dress but it’s actually knee length Hmm Anyway, it works well on my petite frame.

I don’t usually ‘do colour’ but the Christmas party is being held at the Conservative Club so I’m making a political (as well as festive) statement in red!

I’m considering a playsuit.

Something like this one but I’d wear tights.

I’ve gone for this from ASOS.
I’m on maternity leave so haven’t seen majority of colleagues since June and I’ve not been out or got dressed up since before baby was born in July.
It’s by Morgan! Didn’t know this brand was still going. I remember it from when I was late teens.
Shoes I’m wearing with it are ones I’ve had for years very similar to the ones model has on.

Love this thread! I’ve been scouring the internet - FCUK have some lovely dresses as does John Lewis website. I’m looking for some sort of sparkly v neck shift that I can belt - but no luck

Speaking of Morgan, I spotted this dress on my travels. Looks like a nice Xmas dress if anyone wants a subtle sparkly number.

I posted this question a week ago but got no replies!

I'm also looking for an xmas party outfit but have so many criteria it needs to fit Confused sleeves, not too much cleavage and not figure hugging around my size 18 apple figure!!

Not sure if I want a dress or trouser combo (not jeans!).

I love that Morgan/ASOS dress, and the sparkly monsoon dress!

True - the lights in the picture are definitely doing funny thing to it.The sequins make it surprisingly forgiving as it is impossible for it to cling or to ruche(?) and crease anywhere. Worn it twice so far once with more opaque tights and boots and once with heels and it has served me well. Loads of compliments. I would never have picked it but tried a personal shopper in Debenhams who through it in as a lets give it a go and it was gorgeous.

Can totally imagine it with opaques and boots! And a red lip!

Bought this velour/pretend velvet dress from Zara with bits of lace at the sleeves. Got it in navy. Lovely colour. Gorgeous top half on me - if I say so myself, - beautiful shape and waist. Bottom half not as good and the flap to the wrap bit is just raw edge/cut and not stitched, iykwim. So I’m not sure. I’m also not sure it screams party either, tbh. Very pretty dress if you’re slimmer of hip than me.
