Mine is super early this year, I got a great one last year from this board. Personally I prefer sleeves (not a fan of my arms)
Seen anything good?

Love the Zara dress ferries. Has that Silkfred jumpsuit arrived yet overit?

Well the dress is very very boobie & even at the tightest possible the straps keeping falling down —no tits—
Jumpsuit is ok if not too long but again very boobie
Playsuit is alright if not boring

Overall the boobie strap falling down dress stays but gets altered

Glad my no tit strike out worked then 🙄

Bit more than I usually spend but hoping it is as nice on me as it is on the model. Also hoping to have dropped a dress size by 9th Dec for night out.

What is everyone wearing on their feet? Would you wear black tights and black heels with an all black dress?

I'm not a real dresser upper but have bought this chiffon blouse from H&M to wear with jeans for all this years Xmas events (there's nothing posh anyway).

Don't worry, I have a matching camisole!

I bought this dress: www.tedbaker.com/uk/Womens/Clothing/Dresses/IZOBELA-Kensington-Floral-bow-detail-shift-dress-Black/p/136192-BLACK for a night out last month so I think I may well wear it for my work Christmas party in December. I'm not a glitter, sequins or lace type tbh, so although not necessarily Christmassy as such, it fits me well and looks nice on. No others on TB I fancy at the moment - Ted Baker is usually my go to shop as their skater style dresses usually fit me nicely, despite me being short.

I have a bag that goes well with it, and got some jewellery last month to were together too. Could do with some new shoes though, and maybe a wrap of some form rather than taking a coat or jacket.

Trouble is I have tiny feet - only just a size 3 - so buying shoes is something I hate with a passion! So it won't be easy.

ZaZa - do you think the dresses are too lacey?
Hula - a wrap would be lovely with that dress.

Zaza - just seen the blouse you posted. It is lovely and yes a camisole underneath would be good.

Well, I ordered the dress and jumpsuit from Silkfred and they arrived yesterday...

The dress is lovely and quite booby - I’m dithering. The jumpsuit I really do like - it will need judicious application of boob tape to keep everything in place and the legs need a slight alteration but that’s a keeper so thanks for posting Overit.

I've bought a sparkly black & bronze bodycon knee length long sleeved scoop necked dress from Quiz at Debenhams- it was about £35, perfect for my Xmas party.

I also bought a Bardot neckline knee length dress from Quiz for about £27.99 with a red lace overlay which I can wear in the summer too.

I like Lipsy dresses but I'm quite pleased that I managed to get 2 dresses from Quiz for the price of 1 Lipsy dress.

OK, I have not bought the beautiful Ted Baker dress due to vast expense for one night only. So instead I've gone with this dress from ISSA which is lovely but I need to get the hem taken up due to being a short arse. But now I've seen this reduced BIBA dress and wondering what the difference is so have ordered it to check it's identical and if so I'll go with it. Then the alterations won't seem so bad and I'll feel entirely justified in buying these amazing shoes.

I've gone for this long navy dress Yumi. Really boring compared to so many of the pretties posted here but I know the style is flattering on me. I'll need to work on the accessories though.

I bought this black velvet dress with silver embroiderie from ASOS . I really love it and will wear it over black footless tights or maybe some sparkly Hareem pants I have .

I did a quick run into Coast and tried on
Safey McSafe Blue Sparkly frock Covers upper arms and legs (so I could get away with nude tight or bare legs) and is "only" 99 quid, v flattering on and feels nice but is obviously quite cheap polyester.
Look At My Lovely Arms black and gold skater Looks great - good shape for me, random woman in changing room spontaneously complimented me but
a) do not have Lovely Arms, would need to either buy gold shrug or drink large G and T, remember that venue is going to be dim and trendy and say sod it
b) 159 quid is a lot of dosh per wear.
Cannot find link to frock I tried on in Joy - green sequinned shift, high front, low back (my preferred style as I have limited boobage), 69 quid, makes me look a bit square and would require Spanx and opaque tights due to length. But I have longed for green sequinned frock with ALL THE SPARKLES since I was a teen, so maybe that's the way to go...

Evil - love the loook at my lovely arms dress. Oh if only my arms and gut didn't look 47 years old I would buy that in a second. It is gorgeous.

Xotic - love the emerald green dress. Though I am a sucker for lace! Again would buy it if I didn't have cellulite bingo wings for arms.

Zaza - thanks was beginning to think I had become obsesses with lace.

I bought this for £10 on eBay while I was looking for something else. Took the photograph to send to my daughter who said it was nice but a bit long. I'm 48 and it's for a work party. Appropriate?

It’s OK, but I don’t love it on you lobster. I think the neckline isn’t your best shape though the skirt’s nice (and not too long with heels). Depends how keen you are to have a knock-em-dead dress as opposed to a “this will do”.

Thank you EvilRing yes, that probably sums up how I feel - that it's ok. However, I'm only in my second week at this job, I'm a financial controller and I suppose I think playing it safe at least for this year might be easier. It doesn't bother me that much but I'm hearing all the drunken stories from previous years and prepared for the "you mean you don't ever drink?!" comments!!
