Commiserations MrsMac I often think my crowns are more trouble than they're worth, what with falling out out, harbouring infections and even being swallowed - only once but it proved very expensive! Letting your yoof loose on your eyebrows was very brave of you when such, ahem, extreme eyebrows seem to be high fashion with the under-20s.
CountFosco I always had a soft spot for your dastardly namesake because of his appreciation for Marian Halcombe's intelligence and common sense. More Victorian novels could do with a Marian Halcombe. She would have had no patience with Heathcliff and Cathy's antics for a start.
Where do perfume marketers get their ideas from?! Such pretentious twaddle - "single-handedly redefining the notion of floral fragrance" indeed. No wonder 4160 Tuesdays is such a breath of fresh air. Which one did they describe as "smelling like the fruit bowl you forgot to empty before going on holiday!"
So I was all set to dismiss Floral Street and then I saw the mention of 10ml purse-sprays being in the pipeline. I'm all for encouraging perfume addict sizes. And Jerome Epinette is the 'nose' behind Atelier Cologne Trèfle Pur, and Vilhelm Parfumerie's Dear Polly and Morning Chess (smelt both of them at Somerset House and thought they were lovely) so I shall climb off my high horse and give them a fair sniff when I come across them.
Bluebell the Oxford we've been talking about was Ruth Mastenbroek's one. It was half-price from Les Senteurs recently and a few of us splashed out with varying degrees of success. Mine was yet another lesson to me not to buy full bottles just because the notes sound promising.
I decant in the bathroom Floofy just because it's easier to clean up if there's a spill. I am not very good at decanting.
Boldly snap, I'm also in Musc Ravageur and liking it very much. It is so warm and spicy, and very comforting on a grey, chilly day. It's going on the wishlist.
I'm also getting excited about the 4160s Mrs Gloss rhubarb scents. They can't be much longer now.
