I have a wedding to attend at the weekend. I've ordered 2 dresses, which one looks better? Ignore the kiss marks on the mirror from 4yo DD Hmm

😁 and I didn't read all the thread either! But I still prefer dress 2 even though you have taken it back!

BusterGonad · 05/09/2017 22:11

Dress 3 is nice but dress 2 is still my fav!

BusterGonad · 05/09/2017 22:11

No not 2, dress one is my fav! Grin

ThomasRichard · 07/09/2017 09:56

UPDATE: Dress 3 is here! What do you think? Obviously won't be wearing a black bra...

It looks lovely but for some reason it doesn't say "29 year old" to me, it looks a bit older than that, but that might just be me

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/09/2017 10:03

I agree. How does it feel on? Do you think it pulls round the hips slightly?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/09/2017 10:03

I think you need different shoes too.

MadisonAvenue · 07/09/2017 10:09

It's a nice dress but it looks a poor fit around the hips.

ThomasRichard · 07/09/2017 10:10

Yes and yes. I pulled those shoes out of my wardrobe but I haven't worn anything that high since my first pregnancy 8+ years ago so can't walk in those heels. I just wanted to test the look before I bought new shoes.

It does pull around the hips Blush but some Spanx should sort that out.

You have a great figure but that dress doesn't look like it fits. To be really honest, I'm in my 30s and would feel frumpy in all three of those dresses. Have you looked in somewhere like reiss?

Paintbox · 07/09/2017 10:12

Re my comment about the age, I've just looked at the first 2 dresses and they also look a bit old to me for a 29 year old. Accept that it might just be me though, I would find all of them a bit safe for me now at 40 years old but you may have a more classic style than me.

Rufffles · 07/09/2017 10:16

Both are really nice, but personally I prefer number two. Do you have something to put over the top if it's a bit chilly? If the answer is yes to one but not to the other then the weather might influence your choice...

Have a lovely time!

ThomasRichard · 07/09/2017 10:16

My style is definitely quite conservative. In fact, these dresses are a bit 'out there' for me; I usually go with a dark blue and sleeves.

I take the point about the fit and have ordered the next size up for next-day delivery. Eek!

Any advice on the shoes?

OrlandaFuriosa I wasn't dressing for anyone in particular, just want to wear something that I feel confident in. The only person I'm going to know at this wedding is DP. I don't think anyone else will care what I look like, but I want to feel great so that I can relax and have a good time :)

I think the next size up would be perfect as it'll hang better- you have a lovely figure, I didn't mean to be rude! Look forward to tomorrow's picSmile

ThomasRichard · 07/09/2017 11:08

No of course not, I didn't think that at all Smile DP is useless at this; he just tells me I look good whatever!

Dress 2 defo

GreenTulips · 07/09/2017 12:33

That dress is a good mix and is lovely - you'll look great

GingerLDN · 08/09/2017 03:10

I like the 3rd dress. I think with it having an all over pattern you should tie hair back or at least wear it sleek and let the dress shine.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 08/09/2017 03:35

Placemarking because I want to see the next size up one. Bet it's stunning.

Dress 1 was my previous choice.

newmum7369 · 08/09/2017 04:31

Dress 2 but loose the ribbon and wear shoes that match the pinky/red colour of the flowers

christmashope · 08/09/2017 05:48

Dress 2 for sure

BusterGonad · 08/09/2017 14:45

It's still dress one for me, young, pretty and fashionable. It's just so much fresher than the others in my eyes! Xx

ThomasRichard · 08/09/2017 16:02

Photo: dress 3 in the size up. It's very comfortable and I like it :)

Thanks everyone!
