I have a wedding to attend at the weekend. I've ordered 2 dresses, which one looks better? Ignore the kiss marks on the mirror from 4yo DD Hmm

Dress 2 is much more flattering

MuggaTea · 04/09/2017 14:09

which ever dress makes you smile more when you are wearing it.

shittyshitybangbang · 04/09/2017 14:16

Dress 2 looks beautiful on you.

justanothernameagain · 04/09/2017 14:18

It's not the law that a woman should always show off her body

This ^^ Some very odd views about body image here. If you're slim should you show that at every available opportunity? Why?
Are you an item for sale?

Both dresses look lovely OP. Which would you enjoy wearing most? I can imagine the first one might be fun to swish about in - although I know what some posters mean about the second looking more grown up perhaps, I might enjoy feeling more formal in that at a wedding.

Dress 2 with different shoes and without the ribbon

SinglePringle · 04/09/2017 14:33

Dress 1. Really don't like Dress 2. Think it's aging, old fashioned and frumpy. Dress One is also more flattering on your stomach. It's a much more modern shape too.

Gindingaling · 04/09/2017 14:36

Dress 2 without the ribbon.

happystory · 04/09/2017 14:37

If you can afford both and you're likely to be invited to other weddings or posh dos I'd keep both!!

eurochick · 04/09/2017 14:39

Dress 1. Dress 2 is a bit staid.

FireBreathingUnicorn · 04/09/2017 14:40

First 1

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 04/09/2017 14:40

How old are you? Dress 2 is something my Mum would wear from Phase Eight!

Completely disagree. My twenty something cousin wore something simular to my DSis wedding this year

She looked stunning in it.

lauramcd86 · 04/09/2017 15:05

Dress 2....... it shows off your fab figure 👌🏻 (both are lovely though)

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 04/09/2017 15:07

Dress 1 looks like a tent, though, and I don't like that you can see the pattern underneath through the top floaty layer. Dress 2 is a much nicer shape on you, but again, the pattern and colour are a bit meh.

Frazzled2207 · 04/09/2017 15:09

2nd without the ribbon

PerspicaciaTick · 04/09/2017 15:30

Dress 1 is lovely.
Dress 2 looks like every other dress worn by a wedding guest this summer.

NapQueen · 04/09/2017 15:32

Dress one if under 40, dress 2 if over 40. Fwiw Im 32 and would wear d2 however it is ageing and I would feel like I looked older than I am.

Violetparis · 04/09/2017 15:36

Dress 2 without the ribbon

Almostthere15 · 04/09/2017 15:40

my instinct says dress 1, it just seems a bit different and interesting. The 2nd is nice especially if it's a more formal wedding. I think I'd like it more without the ribbon though.
I feel a bit worried about how close you are to the stairs though.

flissfloss65 · 04/09/2017 15:42

Yes my first concern was you stepping back and tumbling down the stairs! Please move your mirror.

I like dress 2.

Bobbins43 · 04/09/2017 15:45

Dress 2

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 04/09/2017 15:45

Dress one. The ribbon on dress two makes it look like a maternity frock. It's also quite old fashioned. Do you have any other shoe options?

MollyHuaCha · 04/09/2017 15:46

1

theredjellybean · 04/09/2017 15:47

dress 2..looks amazing
dress 1 really not my kind of thing...looks a bit TOWIE / benidorm

but appreciate my style and taste is quite smart/conservative/trad :)

Gooseberrytart4 · 04/09/2017 15:48

What is that sort of puff of steam escaping from underneath the door and blowing over your legs? Both photos. Very odd
