I am fantasising about a significant period on a Greek island...

bigTillyMint · 28/08/2017 21:51

Shirley Valentine? Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/08/2017 23:10

We had a lovely afternoon in St Ives. Tomorrow DD2 and I will walk to Lizard Point and then on to Kynance Cove. She will moan about lack of phone signal and walking. I don't care.

addle · 29/08/2017 06:54

Gorgeous walk that, Mrs S. Have wonderful time.

bigTillyMint · 29/08/2017 07:44

DD used up all her 4G at the start of August, so has only been able to get wifi at home or in free wifi places and she has not moaned about it once ShockShockShock

The walk will be lovely Smile

magimedi · 29/08/2017 08:14

Have a lovely day, Mrs.S.

For all you fantasists/escapists THIS is a lovely & funny thread.

MsMartini · 29/08/2017 09:43

MrsS, it sounds gorgeous.

Magi, just had a quick look GrinGrin, some of them capture the tone so well.

motherinferior · 29/08/2017 09:51

That thread is terrific. In my fantasy life i never have to eat pasta with bottled pesto and tuna EVER AGAIN.

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2017 10:49

Yes, that thread is great. Particularly the cats that don't vomit. My gay friends seem to have the best lives. One is the manager of a top London hotel, and he and his partner seem to spend their lives flying first class and staying in the best hotels in fab places. They are currently in LA. My other gay friends live in Rio and they are also always on the beach, if not on holiday.

MrsWobble3 · 29/08/2017 21:27

I'd like a cat that didn't wee on the floor.

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2017 21:29

Am about to experience my Best Gay friend and husband in situ living the dream in Spain. He did vair well in property and so bought himself an olive farm and a big hunky Catalan bloke. Looking forward to itSmile
Have just spilled scalding tea down my frontage and scalded my norks. Tis blistering as we speak. And am feeling quite sorry for self ( what's new Crepes) My hand just stopped working and brain to manual failed. Shite.

Mrs S I am putting Cornwall on my list. I have never been which is most remiss of me. I googled your walk and it looks gorgeous. Hope dd pulls up socks and does you the courtesy of enjoying herself whether she like it or not.Grin

addle · 30/08/2017 07:35

Oh Crem, hope better this morning. Will never forget sunburnt nipples many years ago.

I'd like a cat that didn't wee/shit in house under stress (said stress not necessarily identifiable to anyone but cat)

And self-cleaning stair carpet

IDismyname · 30/08/2017 07:42

Crem Hope you're feeling a bit better - or your norks are. Maybe a trip to GP if you think they need a look at. My hands are now a lot more impervious to heat, but other parts of me aren't.

I went and picked some apples off a neighbour tree yesterday. She was desperate for me to do so, so I put on my rucksack and walked over with the dog. Filled the rucksack up with apples, and hoisted onto my back and staggered home. It's a fairly flat route. I was exhausted by the time I got back.

Weighed the apples which came to almost 6kg, which I think was a salutary lesson in what it'll feel like if I ever put on 6kg. GULP.

I will post my Apple Chilli Jelly recipe on here later.
Also my Courgette Relish.

Busy day ahead.

Cremolafoam · 30/08/2017 09:00

Hope it heals quickly, Crem.

Where are you off to? Can't keep track of all the jaunts.

After what felt like the hottest night of the summer it is now cold, grey & wet.

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/08/2017 09:49

Sunburn? Where you are? Grin

Sounds horrid and painful. Hope it heals quickly. xxx

magimedi · 30/08/2017 16:39

I have just had a shopping spree:

3 pairs of trousers, 2 sweatshirts, 4 pairs of PJs and 4 long sleeved tops............................

All for PFGD Grin

motherinferior · 30/08/2017 17:50

MAJOR CUTE!

magimedi · 30/08/2017 18:02

The PJs have dinosaurs one top has the Gruffalo (top fave).

I was raging that all the clothes were divided into boys & girls. 50% of the stuff is from the boys section - much nicer stuff. PFGD's mama has a horro of 'bloody pink & princesses'. Grin

hattymattie · 30/08/2017 19:25

Oh Crem - hope boobs are on the heal and that your hand is working OK. Unfortunately the temperature here as really gone down by about 10 degrees since yesterday and is drizzly hope it improves for you.

MM - sounds a fun shopping spree - although I hope it's a long time before I have to do this.

DD2 is here for a break but has an impacted wisdom tooth poor thing so all our shopping trips are off for the moment. She's on antibiotics which I hope do the trick- an extraction sounds horrible.

motherinferior · 30/08/2017 22:32

I like the sound of your lovely DIL, Magi!

MsMartini · 30/08/2017 23:44

Yeah, used to give me the rage too. I like Let Clothes be Clothes (ditto Books and Toys) campaigns.
