Since I really enjoyed the pink dress thread that The Fail stole for an article I wanted to give you a head's up on their latest horror. It doesn't actually look too bad on the model but believe me it is Seventies polyester nightie chic.

Yellow dress

The shape looks like some kind of choir gown. The colour is just vile. I cannot compare it to anything.

Gingernaut · 04/08/2017 19:12

For anyone who doesn't want it haunting your ads.....

Bluntness100 · 04/08/2017 19:18

It's obviously not intended for a trip to Sainsbury's but for a summer garden party with flat sandals, massive sunglasses, a bandanna headscarf and a joint

I think the joint is the least you'd need. Grin

llangennith · 04/08/2017 19:19

I wonder if anyone bought one?

The reviews are saying some people have purchased and liked it!!!!!

theporcinegrappler · 04/08/2017 19:23

Absolutely astonishing
The model looks like a small child dressing up in mum's clothes

Thumbcat · 04/08/2017 19:23

It resembles the maternity dresses worn by Princess Di in the 80s.

FeralBeryl · 04/08/2017 19:23

I quite like it too.

I am on antibiotics and have been septic all week so it may be delirium- but I do quite like it Blush

LucyLocketLostIt · 04/08/2017 19:25

O...M...G!!!👀

yikesanotherbooboo · 04/08/2017 19:25

My first thought dodo

Babymamamama · 04/08/2017 19:26

Polyester should be made illegal. It's totally horrible. I mooched around the John Lewis women's wear sale in store a few weeks back and had to dismiss 90 percent of the items I liked due to the fabric content. But I'm very fussy and only really like cotton or at a push viscose. Seems these shops think we are still in the 1970s.

You beat me to it.

Showed pic to DH & he said "even she's [model] struggling to make it look good and she's super skinny."

I am picturing it my mind's eye worn with yellow tights, a yellow marabou stole and yellow face paint - as a Big Bird costume for fancy dress. Grin

silkpyjamasallday · 04/08/2017 19:28

I also quite like it, on holiday somewhere hot with a tan it would be lovely and airy and look nice and weather appropriate. But it's polyester so I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. If it was cotton I'd give it a go even in that shade of yellow. I've had quite a lot of nice things from M&S recently, but you do have to sift through an awful lot of crap to get to the good things, but they are there!

Acopyofacopy · 04/08/2017 19:29

In the first picture without the model in it it sort of looks ok in a hippy kind of way. With the model in it, though? Confused

It would be awesome for a dressing up box!

ChasingHighs · 04/08/2017 19:31

Even Abigail wouldn't have worn that to her party.

topcat2014 · 04/08/2017 19:32

The designers must have seen the (ace) touring production of 'Abigails Party'.

fruityb · 04/08/2017 19:35

Polyphonic spree??

Oh my... I think my Grandmother wear something similar to bed most days.

Well, that's my Saturday sorted.

I've just got to try that on! 😁

MavisFlumpTheFairy · 04/08/2017 19:44

Suppose it's ok as a 'Wear your own tent' outfit for Glastonbury, just take tent pegs and you're done.

Surely M&S are going to wake up soon and realise just how sodding awful their clothing is?

Floisme · 04/08/2017 19:47
MavisFlumpTheFairy · 04/08/2017 19:50

One of the reviewers states she's going to wear it with her 'herbed sandals', presumably you need to be high on weed first?
