Are these really crap? Or do you like them?

Ok so I'm on holiday at the moment and am wearing my Fit Flops. I have worn these in for weeks and they have still given me blisters.
I am thinking of getting some Merrells. What do we think? Are they ok or are they really awful? Honest answers please. I don't want to look like a saddo. Here are the ones I am considering.

How old are you? My nanny wouldn't wear those and she's early 70s. If you're not worried about style I'm sure they'll be comfy for walking.

Pink ones are passable, the other ones not so much.
But Merrell footwear is amazingly comfy.

Depends what matters most to you. Comfort or perceived public opinion. No judgement either way but wear what you like that makes you feel good... ams that week be based in your answer to what matters most to you.

I'm 38 and I'd wear them (well not in pink as I hate it, but the style). I think comfy footwear is important though, as i spend a lot of time on my feet. They might not be the height of fashion but they are certainly not hideous. I know plenty of people around my age who would wear them but not so many in their 20's. so i guess it depends how old you are and how fashion conscious.

Ok so a mixed bag. I'm 52 but I don't think I look it. But I could be massively wrong. Have had several wines tonight so not feeling my age. I'll find a photo see what you think. I don't want to look like a leftie, mutton wannabe. Even though I bats exactly what I actually am. Thanks for your replies so far tho x

Wow OP you certainly don't look 52! I would wear the pink ones and I'm 36: comfort wins every time (especially when I'm chasing 2 year old DS everywhere!) Not so keen on the blue though.

I'm only 38 and I've just bought these two pairs of Merrell sandals for my holiday. They are super comfortable, I normally have to wear insoles with most but get away with these. I didn't think they were too hideous but I'm starting to wonder now!

If you want something for country walks or long distance then go for it, I can appreciate a practical shoe, but they are pretty fugly for any other scenario. Also, you are gorgeous!

Sorry, but they are gross! you are way too young and glamorous for those. How about some birkenstocks for comfy sandals you can walk in?

Get some Birkenstock Gizahs or something. They are fugly but somehow manage to look moderately fashionable at the same time.

These are amazingly comfortable and I don't think look too bad. I don't particularly like the merrells.

Merrells are insanely comfy. Also Earth Spirit - but neither are that stylish! Who cares though, really. Teva make some nice leather sliders that might be a compromise?
