Do you like primark?

I sometimes find a nice shirt / blouse and buy it but then you see that many people wearing the same thing too.
Do you shop in primark much?

Mainly for underwear, nightwear and kids clothes. I have a top from there that I've had about 8 years and is still going strong, but I've not seen anything as nice since, or had anything that's lasted as well.

Once in a while. They have a habit of designing a great top and then plonking some extra terrible detail on it, but fine for basics.

Their make up brushes and hair accessories are surprisingly good.

I get quite a lot of stuff. I really don't think the quality is markedly worse than other highstreet shops. I've got stuff from there that I've had for seven/eight years. There is a lot of shit and you do have rummage and have a good 'eye'.
Having said that I do have a few things that people comment on time and again, in particular a pair of silver boots. A woman chased me down the road to ask where they were from.

Also second the make up brushes and home stuff. I've got various duvet sets from there that have lasted really well.

I shop there fairly often because I love a bargain
Underwear and tights - all the time
Shoes quite a lot - especially sandals
Things that you really can't tell when you've bought them i.e. plain vest tops, black jeans, white shirts for work
Sometimes you find some gems and then just have to accept you'll see others in the same. Sometimes they are so similar to other high street shops that you can't really tell..

Hummus yes, why do they do that so much! nice top then you look at the back and it's covered in diamantes or something..

I used to get a lot of clothes for my dc from there but found it was a faulse economy, the t-shirts never seemed to wash well and some of the sizing would be weird. Most of the dc clothes now come from car boot sales, I have found I can get lots of next, GAP and other 'big' names for as little as 20p a t-shirt.

Equally I used to get lots of DH t-shirts from there once again found that they lost shape etc when washed. I came across a seller on eBay who was selling 5 fruit of the loom t-shirts for £12.99 and they are 100% better than the primark ones.

For myself I get pyjamas, socks, flip flops and occasionally slippers. Most of my stuff comes from Ebay or selling sites on Facebook.

I find primark prices have kept rising too.

Yes, kids clothes, the odd thing for me.
It's either primark or charity shops, so it's nice to have something new every once in a while.

Ooh yes and bedding! Mine has lasted really well and it's really brightly coloured on a pale background so I didn't expect it to. Very soft as well.

I think the quality is kind of similar to H&M

I think I have those boots and, yes, have been stopped in the street and asked where they were from!

No. I find the clothes ill fitting and the shoes hurt my feet.

I live near a big store and it is like a jumble sale in there. There are always kids running around and people shrieking for some reason.

No the clothes are badly fitting. Everything I try on makes me look like a sack of shit and the trousers are designed for giraffes. I do buy socks and pop socks which are the only thing that fit me properly.

They do the best PJs. Really soft cotton. I like them for absolute basics - tee shirts and vest tops, though the colours are a bit limited and look a bit cheap. DS loves their jeans as he is super skinny and no one else cuts them meanly enough to fit him, now he's outgrown H&M kids' range.

And they used to make the only socks DS2 agrees to wear (he has ASD and sensory issues.) They made super cheap super soft socks that wore into holes after about ten wears, which is probably why they've discontinued them, but he mourns them. the new longer lasting ones aren't as soft.

It's OK for undies and kids clothing basics. I also have had the odd nice dress or skirt. Also ok for shorts.
My favourite jeans are from there but only cos they are very comfortable and a bit baggy..they are great for lounging in but not really going out.

I live in their long sleeve cotton tops for 9 months of the year. They wash brilliantly and have sleeves that stop at my wrists, not halfway between elbow and wrist so my hands fall off with cold in the winter

Occasionally I find a couple of nice other bits. I'm very impressed by their lip liners and matte lip crayons - 1 quid and 2 quid respectively

I buy hair bands, pjs, tights and false nails from primark. Also some clothes for the dc. I don't like the quality of the adult clothes. I've bought a few bits but they are always thin and not great quality

I'm 50/50 about Primark - some of its tat but some stuff is very good quality.
I particularly like their nightwear and baby clothes.

I like it for everything but actual clothes. Beauty and accessories can get expensive so it's definitely worth going there just for that!

I have had some basics from them that have washed better and lasted longer than other brands Boden that people on here go on about.

The quality of clothes on the high street is generally not good regardless of the price bracket.

Yes, but I would never buy shoes from them. The inside always seems to fall apart after a week.

No, going in there gives me a headache, you can smell the man made fibres and chemicals from outside.

Mostly just tights and socks, and clothes for the kids. Mostly because I'm tall and I have to get a 36inch inside leg for trousers and I've never actually seen any long jeans there, otherwise I would.

I don't really although recently i have found them to be one of only a few places that stock dd's (13 yo) prefered clothing:

Black, or grey or dark
Tight but not too tight
No writing
No pictures
No logos
No patterns
NOT boys stuff.
No cut out bits, frills, buttons

I nearly wept with joy. Two things!! We bought two things in one shop for our holiday and no one cried. I wanted to shout this from the rooftops but dd would have thought me the lamest ever so I just cheered to myself!

For me though? No. I prefer to buy better brands online second hand than cheap items because I know i can resell them when I get bored and they wash better (certain brands at least ).
