Do you think Kate gets it "right" compare to other royals?

Needless to say its a DM link

Do you think Kate looks the most stylish? I think Sophie looks lovely, great colour and lovely hat. I think Kate has an advantage as she is very slim / toned but not sure if her dress is actually the nicest. I think she also gets all her stuff made to measure / altered so it fits her better.

Bea and Zara's have got very crushed which makes them look less polished. Autumn Phillips looks nice but can only just see her!

Eugenie's is a no from me! too frou frou.

Or is it that funny, sweaty crepe stuff?

Gunpowder · 20/06/2017 17:54

Even though she is usually safe, Kate almost always looks great. I much prefer this outfit to the one she wore to Pippa's wedding, actually. I wish she would choose new shoes too though! The nude courts look a bit dated now, I reckon.

The thing that strikes me most is they all look so happy. It's lovely. Smile

sailawaywithme · 20/06/2017 17:55

I think Camilla always outshines Kate, style-wise. She always looks fab! And yes to Eugenia needing a bra intervention- she has a lovely, curvy figure but she doesn't dress to suit it. She needs to watch a few old episodes of What Not To Wear - she is Susanna but dresses as though she is a Trinny.

sailawaywithme · 20/06/2017 17:57

She had a mild form of scoliosis, much less severe than mine, in fact. It has no bearing on the fact that her bra doesn't fit.

Rioja123 · 20/06/2017 17:59

Eugenie looks awful, that dress is not designed for someone with a big bust, it's so unflattering.

Birdsbeesandtrees · 20/06/2017 18:08

Kate always looks lovely. A little older than her years maybe but lovely.

Her mum also looks amazing today.

And the Queen but when has she not ?

I feel bad for Beatrice and Eugiene (is that the right spelling ?) he look ok but never stunning. They need a much better stylist.

VanillaSugar · 20/06/2017 18:09

Sophie Winkleman is Claudia's half sister. They share a father.

sodablackcurrant · 20/06/2017 18:16

I don't understand why anyone would need a stylist (B and Eugenie for example.

You just try on many different outfits, get someone to take a pic or do a selfie. Or feel good or not. Simple isn't it.

If you don't feel right, you won't look right.

But Kate is morphing into a Victorian heroine in a novel. High necked lace. FGS. What will she be wearing when she's fifty!

And I am over fifty, but there is no way a high necked anything is coming anywhere near me. It is just so ageing. IMO of course.

Nishky · 20/06/2017 18:25

That picture of Zara with the Duke of Edinburgh is lovely

sodablackcurrant · 20/06/2017 18:31

Deep down they are as ordinary as ourselves. But they have to put on a "look" and behaviour for the ubiquitous cameras that follow them around not matter where they go. I;d say they get pissed and wear awful leggings and crap t shirts when they can.

I'd hate to live in that kind of a goldfish bowl TBH.

Anyway, they all signed up for it, apart from those who got there by birth.

The second line down, ie NOT William and Kate + kids, have the best of all worlds. Money and comfort without all the cameras.

Pippa Middleton is the big winner there! Just as rich monied life as her sister, but not too many worries about having to be perfect all the time.

SenecaFalls · 20/06/2017 18:47

Sophie Wessex's dress looks like silk cloque (accent mark I can't do on my tablet on the "e"). It would be fairly lightweight, depending on the weave.

Rockhopper81 · 20/06/2017 18:47

Her Majesty looks amazing, as always.

However this:

Zara I suspect doesn't give a shit and I like that.

As previously said, is absolutely brilliant, and I also agree is so true!! When I looked through the pictures (I didn't read what went with it - just popped over to take a look at the visuals), I noticed she was the only one with sunglasses on too, which is just awesome. "I'm not being blinded, and that's all there is to it" kind of attitude - fantastic! Grin

(I'm not sure how they coped without sunglasses to be honest, it must have been awful with the heat and glare.)

With two white dresses in the party, the reflections from that alone would be making me screw up my eyes!

Housewife2010 · 20/06/2017 18:53

Sophie Winkleman's married name is Lady Frederick Windsor. She isn't Lady Sophie because she isn't an Earl's daughter.

gingercat02 · 20/06/2017 20:04

Anyone else think Zara might be pregnant again? She looks a bit thick waisted but no great angles. Camilla and Sophie Wessex definitely win imho

PickAChew · 20/06/2017 20:17

Not so keen on the neckline of Kate's dress, but I love the way it hangs. It looks like very soft lace and has a bit of swish to it and the angular shoulder line goes some way to make it look less old on her.

Nettletheelf · 20/06/2017 23:16

I know that Mrs [insert husband's name here] is, technically, the correct form of address (if you think that it's still 1950) but it just feels a bit old fashioned and starchy, don't you think? Especially because Zara, like her mother, looks as if she takes no shit.

LaurieFairyCake · 20/06/2017 23:29

I do think she gets it right. It's a very clever dress actually. The lengths of dresses is supposed to be below knee. So Kate's 2 layer dress with only the sheer part is below knee is much more modern than Sophie's and Beatrice in this shot. The pink dress needs to be shorter.

Do you think Kate gets it "right" compare to other royals?
diddl · 21/06/2017 07:54

I think that Kate proves that having a good figure doesn't mean that you can wear anything.

Mind you I think that that dress is hideous.

I think that her mum looks much nicer.

Some of the shoes are awful though-look ill fitting & as if they have sweaty bare feet stuffed into them.

I love Eugenie's dress & like Beatrice's a lot although I think that it looks a bit stuffy with that neckline & long sleeves.

I think that Sophie looks fabulous although the material looks hot!

Camilla & Anne both look great imo.

What surprises me is for the price of the dresses, some look really poor quality.

I think that Kate often still looks as if she is trying to hard to fit in & not quite comfortable.

Doobigetta · 21/06/2017 07:54

Why on earth would you choose a high neck and tight long sleeves in this weather? She must have been SO uncomfortable. Then again, some people seem to have the ability to wear warm clothes in the heat and vice versa without expiring. I am not one of those people.

AuntieStella · 21/06/2017 08:03

I think a lot of the DofCambridge's clothes look skimpy - they're just a bit too short in the waist and the skirt lengths often sit just a bit wrong,

I think Sophie Wessex always looks right.

Peanutbuttercheese · 21/06/2017 08:04

Too bridal really but she is very chocolate box pretty isn't she and is slim so it seems hard for her to look like utter crap.

I think Sophie looks great and love her hat but skirt length is too long. Poor Eugunie has to wrestle with having a large bust and it is harder for clothes to hang well.

LittleBearPad · 21/06/2017 08:10

Sophie's hat is fab.

Kate looks lovely

Eugenie doesn't.

Maudlinmaud · 21/06/2017 08:12

Loved the style. And yes as ever Kate stood out as the winner for me with Sophie a close second. I was much more interested in kates botox, it's well done. If I could be guaranteed that effect I'd have it in a heartbeat.

diddl · 21/06/2017 08:21

I did love the pic of Zara & her mum hugging!
