surprisingly nice door furniture

Lovely boots, Crem

I am very disappointed by the arrival of the pink chinos from this new online shop, Madeleine. Long delivery time, and even though i ordered my size and the size up (being a French brand, thought I'd better be prepared) neither fits...too small, too tight, too low waisted and thin fabric. At least there a prepaid returns label... Hmm

My back remains stiff although less painful. I guess that's progress. Very fed up with this old woman profile though.

motherinferior · 13/07/2017 12:14

Hotters due to be delivered today

herbaceous · 13/07/2017 13:15

My latest delivery has been some Magicool for the hot flushes. Glamorous.

Reader, I'm keeping them.

Resorts. Bit shiny but that'll wear off!

Crepey coalition of chaos
IDismyname · 13/07/2017 16:38

Welcome to the 'Hotter Fold' MI Grin

MrsK - I found this today, and I am Shock at the price tag, especially when one reads the ingredients list. I don't give a Monkeys what its supposed to be replacing, you cannot - just cannot charge that amount of money for water.

I give you this: Gin Replacement

IDismyname · 13/07/2017 16:39

And apparently you have to be over the age of 18 to buy it!

Cremolafoam · 13/07/2017 16:51

I really like those MI, being rather partial to a bit of metallic in t he summer time. Makes you feel a bit Greek Goddess-y

I like that your knockers Rose. Dh has voted for these numbers for the front door. He likes a bit of Art Deco and as he rarely expresses any opinion on house related matters, we'll probably go with them.

I have just had a luxurious (crepey gifted) shower after tidying up today. Now attempting the fake tan. I don't know why I bother,,except it makes me feel a bit better about self. ( marginally)

MsMartini · 13/07/2017 16:56

Shock. A bottle of water flavoured with some old grass?

Nice, MI, nice.

bigTillyMint · 13/07/2017 17:40

They are nice Cremo. DD is asking if I will pick her up from Stanstead when she gets back next Wednesday afternoon. Up to 2 hours drive each way? Hmm

herbaceous · 13/07/2017 18:22

Bugger that, BTM. Stansted Express train to Tottenham Hale, Victoria line to a station of her choosing. One-hour journey for her vs four-hour journey for you. But then I'm a right curmudgeon about picking people up from airports well served by public transport.

OP posts:
MsMartini · 13/07/2017 18:34

Totally agree, herbs. And the faff of finding each other/plane being delayed. National Express coach service from Victoria too.

Cremolafoam · 13/07/2017 18:36

Terravision bus to Victoria can be as little as £4 one way. U can book it online -
here or easybus does a similar thing.

Cremolafoam · 13/07/2017 18:42

easybus is a bit cheaper

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/07/2017 19:02

No, don't pick her up from Stanstead! Tell her to get the bus!

I've had that Seedlip stuff. It's OK if you want a non-alcoholic drink that isn't sweet (although our tonic water fits the bill for that quite well, no?) but the price is ridiculous.

herbaceous · 13/07/2017 19:22

I've bought yet another Jersey Dress Company dress. Well, for £18 it's rude not to. Nice blue, non?

OP posts:
MsMartini · 13/07/2017 19:23

Seedlip-drinking MrsS, what have you done with the real MrsS?

msmargarita · 13/07/2017 19:28

Have left the office Crepeys! Off to Spain in the morning. Just need to pack, do last minute travel admin, clean and maybe drink a bit of celebratory gin.

Have guilty intention of spending at least some time in shops as haven't bought anything except a t-shirt in the sales and all my hols clothes look and are ancient except 2 new cosies that sadly depress me. But it will be lovely!! (Exclamation marks fr excitement)

MsMartini · 13/07/2017 19:58

Sod the cleaning MsMargarita! And go for it with the clothes _ when I was in Spain last year I kept walking past clothes shops thinking I will go back, and didn't, and wish I had

bigTillyMint · 13/07/2017 20:03

Yes, what are you thinking woman? Pack and drink gin. And go clothes shopping - we are on an S&B thread FGS!

I have no intention of going to collect her. I would rather pay the £10 for the train/coach. However, DH has said he will take her - will need to leave before 6 on Sunday morning after 2 parties on SaturdayGrin

bigTillyMint · 13/07/2017 20:07

Clean, MsMarg? What are you thinking woman? Just pack and drink gin!

Herbs, that is the perfect solution - I will pay her a Stansted Express ticket and she can get the Victoria line to our nearest stop - happy to pick her up from there if necessary!

herbaceous · 13/07/2017 20:30

Knew my train nerdery would come in handy one day!

Let me join the 'put the marigolds down' chorus. What nonsense.

OP posts:
Cremolafoam · 13/07/2017 20:39

I always feel the need to clean the house and change the bedlinen before I go away.Blush
I know, I'm a buckeejit.

magimedi · 13/07/2017 22:32

Crem & Margarita - I rush round like a woman possessed pre hols to leave the house sparkling - it's worth it when I get home as have no need to do any hicework (sic) for several weeks. Which prolongs my hols.

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/07/2017 09:44

I always clean and tidy the house before we go away. I don't feel the urge any other time but it is quite depressing coming back to a mess.

Rosenspants · 14/07/2017 10:23

Agree re manic house cleaning before travels...I am the same. And I would like to join Herb's nerdy train club. Love trains...hate airport pick ups and drop offs. Although Stansted is easy from this end of the world as is Luton. But don't get me started on Gatwick or even Heathrow.

Herbs Loverly dress. Sadly it would been good for me and my Carsahianesque hourglass body... Hmm

Happy hols MsMargarita !!

Have taken it very slow this morning...not working today. Going to retrieve click and collect t shirts from Gap and then seeing DD's show this evening. First morning with no painkillers or hot water bottles.
