Has wearing a fascinator for wedding guests had it's day now?

Just as the title really. I've not worn one for the past two weddings I've been to, just a small sparkly hairband or clip. I'm seeing fewer & fewer of them now too on younger guests. Are they passé? Shall I wear a big fabulous one on Saturday to a civil ceremony? I feel like I might be self conscious.

Ooh can I use this thread as an opportunity to share a great bad joke?

Me and my friend have set up a hat-making business. This time next year.. we'll be milliners!!

I'm going to a posh summer wedding but won't be wearing either as my dress is bright pink with a frill so think it will be overkill.

I bet the one with the navy jumpsuit will look fab.

This 'viscous' thread has made the Daily Fail.

Why ???
I'm hoping the swearing will stop the lazy bastards from using the thread
