Thought I'd start a thread for anyone who finds capsule wardrobes in muted tones tedious as feck.

Ditto little diamond studs and designer bags with glossy bobs.

I personally admire the style of Alys Fowler and Helena Bonham-Carter.

Also love a bit of Gudrun/Lagenlook and other cheerful offerings.

A successful charity shop rummage is a joy to behold. I like messy hair, well -loved clothes and making my own stuff too.

Anyone else?

I have some beautiful red Fly boots and they are super comfy...but yes I was a little surprised they didnt do well in the wet...sort of defeats part of boots appeal/need.

I spray them with some stuff but tend to keep them for pretty days

BroomstickOfLove · 20/04/2017 14:11

I bought my DM Henriettas last autumn and still can't wear them for long periods of time :-(

I will try the newspaper trick. They are so beautiful but just won't wear in.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/04/2017 14:18

love DMs, really want some of the TMNT ones but cant justify them right now. I have purple patent, red patent, black velvet, silver textured and a pair that fold over that the back in plain black. Love all of them and wear them often. otherwise i wear converse through the summer. I also have a pair of cat face TUK shoes which i love and my sister absolutely hates.

BroomstickOfLove · 20/04/2017 14:25

I just have my Henriettas and a pair of Aimilie boots with flowery ribbon laces. But my boots have fallen to pieces(split soles, ripped leather, uppers cinch away from the soles). So I need new ones. DP bought a pair of Made for Life boots recently, and they are lovely. I considering saving up for a pair.

Whirltime · 20/04/2017 14:29

I am laughing at my TMNT ones they are causing a stir around my family and friends the opnions so far is they are brilliant but crazy and that am crazy love it.

For any one who has the Pascal Dms -do they come up small?

Never mine are size perfect imo

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 20/04/2017 16:15

I find them a true fit.

The delivery for the website is very good. The ones I ordered for the boys from the sale 2 days ago just arrived.

NevermetaGilesIlike · 20/04/2017 16:40

Thank-you 🙂🦉

My Pascals are true to size too.

SaucySusanVsNormalSusan · 20/04/2017 16:50

Oooh me too! I have a wardrobe full of leopard print, fruity patterns, biker boots and DM's with roses embroidered up them. I have tattoos and very bright hair and would look ridiculous in beige. I also love retro prints that make me look like a 1970s biscuit tin.

SaucySusanVsNormalSusan · 20/04/2017 16:51

My wonderful dms

I saw a lovely white pair with a red heart on the toe. They would be my perfect bridal footwear.

BillywigSting · 20/04/2017 18:31

My friend has those DMs with the roses, the picture doesn't do them justice they are stunning.

Envy very very jealous

Greenifer · 20/04/2017 20:42

I have these. They're sort of silver grey and really lovely. They go with everything.

I saw the cutest young girl yesterday, wearing a bright yellow raincoat and those DMs with red roses (and presumably some other things too!). She looked lovely, but she was v young, v slim and v beautiful. I'd have looked liked a crazy cat lady.

iamgill · 20/04/2017 22:18

this is my heavier lace coat for the cooler days in the summer. i love making my own clothes and having one off items of clothing. no beige or pale colours either.

I was so pleased with my rose DM's, I got a half price eBay bargain. They are so comfortable too.

BroomstickOfLove · 21/04/2017 00:28

Greenifer, I wanted a pair of those boots for so long, but couldn't really afford them, and then they were sold out in my size. I occasionally have a peek to see if any show up on eBay, but no luck yet.

SaucySusanVsNormalSusan · 21/04/2017 10:13

I love these leggings at the moment. They look great with my rose DMs, leopard coat and a top. Only £2.99 off eBay too.

I'm liking the DM love on here altho I'm not a docs wearer.
My skirt. Generally worn with slouchy jumper and boots. I'm not a fan of the cut bug I'm learning to sew in order to incorporate more African and other prints into my clothes. I wear thfm a lot as scarves or headwraps.

It occurs to me that this is a good place to ask if any of you know where to find plus size, comfortable tights in colours other than black and navy. I love M&S velvet touch for comfort and fit, but they don't really come in anything colourful. I want real and mustard and burgundy tights, damnit!

BroomstickOfLove · 21/04/2017 11:08

Teal tight, as well as real ones.

SaucySusanVsNormalSusan · 21/04/2017 11:16

Broomstick, I get tights from M&S and buy the XL. I've seen three packs of different colours in there, about 40 denier? I have some in green and pink and purple. It seems to depend on the shop. Try eBay?

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 21/04/2017 11:59

Im enjoying all the photos and descriptions of styles everyone on here has.

I was going to suggest M&S. I got my teal and purple tights from there. Newlook have nice ribbed and coloured ones. Dont go for primark though. I bought a burgundy pair and they slowly creep down my arse constantly.

Inspired by the dainty watch thread, I thought Id share a pic of my watch.
