Dh wants to buy me a gift and I'm not sure what I want . I quite like the mulberry Freya . I have an Antony already and I like it . I fancy something a bit more handbaggy.

I really don't know why people feel the need to snarkily suggest other things for the op to spend their money on. Don't post if you're just gonna be a dick.

Hope you find the perfect bag to enjoy op sounds like you deserve a treat!

QueenMortificado · 24/12/2016 22:32

My mulberry Bayswater has had so much use and has just got better with age, I'd definitely recommend to get one

The dark plum is gorgeous, and the classic oak colour is too

I have no idea why designer bags get so much vitriol, people don't give a shit about people spending money on cars or other luxuries and yet as soon as bags are mentioned the judgey pants get hoiked right up. Really don't need to justify yourself OP. How about people spend their money on what they want and don't give a toss what other people do with it.

CandleWithHair · 24/12/2016 22:42

Phillip Lim, Soleil or Pashli are worth a look. Very classic and completely gorgeous

LazySusan11 · 24/12/2016 22:59

Another vote for the LV neverful, mine is 5 years old and still going strong. I have the Ebene so no patina issues. Brilliant for carrying loads of stuff you don't need lovely gesture from your dh. Get the bag you love and enjoy it Xmas Smile

The mulberry mini kite in oxblood is also gorgeous.

mylittlephoney · 24/12/2016 23:16

£10 On a decent high street one and a holiday with the rest of the money. No one needs a bag that cost that much. Asking for it to be nicked imho.

QueenMortificado · 24/12/2016 23:18

£10 on a decent high street one

Ha ha ha. Where the hell can you get a decent handbag for a tenner??? Grin

Oh, and no one may NEED a bag that costs that much but I have a number of them and they're gorgeous and I love them. And guess what! It's from me being able to afford them myself and I'm not sorry at all!

PaperMaicheLobster · 24/12/2016 23:20

I have several mylittlephoney and its never been a problem. The majority of theives wont give a shit if the bag costs £200k or £2. They are more interested in what money is inside it- a friend of mine got her Chanel bag stolen last year. It was found in the dustbin on the high street a few hours later (somebody was able to contact her as she had her details in an address book) but funnily enough her Primark purse with £50 in it and 3 cheque cards was missing.

LotsoNumbers · 24/12/2016 23:56

£10 barely buys you a bag in primark...and they're not decent!

ophiotaurus · 25/12/2016 00:14

Ffs will people read the thread!
I love the Bayswater too. Or a LV never full. Both classics. But get the bag you love OP hope you have a lovely Christmas!

SouthWestmom · 25/12/2016 00:31

SouthWestmom · 25/12/2016 00:34

Shelvesoutofbooks · 25/12/2016 00:42

I like bags! Chloe milo medium suede trimmed leather tote, fendi elaphe trimmed leather tote or a Victoria Beckham quincy textured leather tote would be my choice. Go on net a porter or outnet for inspiration

thegoodnameshadgone · 25/12/2016 00:48

A mulberry it will hold its value

MrsMoastyToasty · 25/12/2016 00:48

I've been to the mulberry factory (it was for a job interview ). I'm sorry to say folks that they are made by machine, and not handstitched by fairies and delivered by unicorns. So I can't see what the fuss is about (I didn't get the job)

KoolKoala07 · 25/12/2016 00:51

I vote mulberry too! I love love mine. And I always say if times get tough, I'll flog it in eBay and get some money back for it!

HmmmHashtag · 25/12/2016 07:03

There are some great Mulberry selling/swapping pages on Facebook, people selling everything from brand new season to the vintage styles. Also good for inspiration.

Honeyandfizz · 25/12/2016 07:17

Well I have woken up this morning only to be handed a Selfridges bag with a Mulberry Lily in oak inside. Absolutely thrilled and gobsmacked to say the least especially as h and I separated in September. I can confirm it is gorgeous.

So excited it posted twice!!!!

Honeyandfizz · 25/12/2016 07:22

I know I literally cannot believe it. It is the only thing I ever ask for but it is always said in jest as I never really expect one. I am not sure I will ever use it though as its much too lovely to be used! Grin
