Just for you:
I will very soon have an empty - Naturally Radiant Brightening Radiance Balm (from Superdrug) - I really lke this effective but affordable range. I find this balm highly moisturising.

Sorry to hear about your mum FrugalFlowers

Empty pure shower gel full size from M&S, great product but bored of it now.

FreeButtonBee · 05/01/2017 11:13

Used up two samples of Tony Moly Hand cream on my feet. Was actually pretty moisturising. Feet not looking too bad for deep mid winter. I must keep it up so that when flip flop season hits, my feet are vaguely acceptable.

The baby has been waking in the night for some unknown reason - he'd just started sleeping through really solidly so it is very annoying. I mostly just have to lie in the bed in his room and sshh him so no cuddling or major interaction but still. I am tired and want to sleep in my own bed all night!!! So have been a bit lax about skin care. Must improve.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 05/01/2017 12:01

Sorry to hear that frugal Flowers so tough when parents are ill
Hope that baby starts sleeping button. Ugh
I've finished body shop cranberry body butter so feels like xmas is definitely over.

Eek I might have also bought a new red lipstick which was def not needed but lasts really well so the endless search for 12hour lipstick may be ending. Rimmel apocolips by the way! Will keep you posted on lastability!

FrustratedFrugal · 05/01/2017 14:28

Loved the hand cream on feet - keep'em coming!

I saw my mun today, her speech was fluent and she seemed like her old self. She has had a tiny brain hemorrhage but apparently she has been extremely lucky as about a third of people with her diagnosis die on the spot Confused I also met her doctor and she is in good hands. And MIL is on her way here, she lives alone and we thought it best to keep her company. So now that I am able to do something I feel quite relieved after a few really turbulent days...

My mind is not on makeup -dressing ln autopilot - but I have been wearing the coppery Max Factor Chilli lipstick every day and might even finish it this month!

FrustratedFrugal · 05/01/2017 14:30

on autopilot

woodhill · 05/01/2017 17:57

I used up a lavender body lotion today.

Feel really fed up, went somewhere on the wrong day, bought mints and managed to break a bit off my tooth and had to go the dentist. I'm hoping my repaired tooth will hold out I feel such an idiot and wish I'd never gone or bought the sweets.

MotherofPearl · 05/01/2017 18:47

Frugal, glad to hear that you've been able to see your mum, and that you're feeling a bit better about things.

I'm at the very end of a lipstick! Hardly ever finish one, so feels like an achievement. I've been trying to do red lipstick January. This used up one is a Boots no 7 shade called Grace, which has been discontinued. Luckily I still have 2 more tubes in the stash. Blush

kwick · 05/01/2017 19:30

free you must be exhausted Flowers

frugal hope you mummy keeps getting better. Hang in there! Have some of this to see you through: Wine

wood what a bugger!!! Flowers

Wow mother I have rarely finished a lipstick too! Well done!!

the kiko splurge arrived today... somehow I managed to buy 5 different foundations.... basically a life times supply!!! I also bought a red lipstick - this will be number 4!!! And I do not wear red that often!!! Operation declutter is not going well...

Finished a full sized batiste dry shampoo. Cherry "flavour". I like this one. Sadly none of this particular one left in my stash.

Have three others though. I tried loads of other brands and kept coming back to batiste. The only one which came close was the tresseme one.

Pantene dry shampoo did nothing. Aussi made my hair sticky (although smelled amazing). Yet to try the lee Stafford one. Boots own. Rand great but I could only buy the monster sized cans.

I may have reached the bottom of the palmers sun glow tan moisturiser stuff. Either that or there's a blockage on the pump...

FrustratedFrugal · 06/01/2017 07:34

Really good news - mum will be released from the hospital this afternoon! I'm so happy! Just need to keep it together during MIL's visit this weekend - my game plan is to do cooking prep now, then have a brisk walk in -20C winter weather, and then do a lot of calm breathing and zen exercises Wink

I'm also attaching a pic of a lipstick that I want to finish this month - Max Factor Chilli!

FrustratedFrugal · 06/01/2017 07:36

MotherofPearl finishing a lipstick us a fantastic achievement! Congratulations!

ememem84 · 06/01/2017 07:45

frustrated great news x x

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 06/01/2017 07:50

Great news frugal hope mum keeps recovering and that mil is coping. She's blessed to have you as a dil

Well done on lipstick use up too. mother you're an inspiration to us all. Given how long it's taken us to use up stuff, the beauty industry really must have us hooked on the new doesn't it? It makes you realise the power of their marketing and PR. And I'm realising the amount of my personal waste.

em after my extensive research, I agree the only dry shampoo worth having is batisse.

kwick · 06/01/2017 09:28

So pleased frugal - thus is ace news!!!
You can so finish that lipstick this month!!

I am trialling Lush dry shampoo - but yesterday, when I used it, was not a good hair day. My hair looks nice today - after being washed!
I am hoping to address oily hair with appropriate shampoo & conditioner, that I will start once finish the Herbal Essences shite.

I agree another it is so wasteful but there is something so thrilling about the new!!

Hello all!
Sorry to hear that some of you are having a rough start to the year, hope that things improve quickly!

Finished a Benefit mini Porefessional today....came as part of a complexion kit. Not sure I would invest in a full size one, have a load of other primers that I seem to have somehow accumulated......

MotherofPearl · 06/01/2017 11:40

Congratulations on the empties Badgers and Ememem.
Frugal, that's great news about your mum. Good luck with your MIL this weekend. Smile
Kwick, I normally wash my hair every second day, but during pregnancy I found any oiliness miraculously vanished and I could get away with once a week (or even less often Blush). Hopefully you'll also enjoy the benefits of pregnancy hair. Although not great for using up the stash I guess!
Pinkie, you're so right about make up and marketing. I am so easily seduced, especially during Clinique or Clarins 'free' gift time! Find it so hard to resist, even when I know I'm being suckered.

ememem84 · 06/01/2017 17:34

I walked through our dept store on the way home from work. Right through the beauty bit.

Clarins gift sets half price. Would have done it for half price double serum. But. I don't like the free bag...! And it's still not cheap enough £39.50 though...

kwick · 06/01/2017 17:47

You are a strong lady eme Grin

MIL visit part 1 over - we offered her delicious food, I didn't drink, the children were angelic, and we helped her to plan in detail her tricky role in the funeral. Tomorrow will be easier. And mum is safely back home too.

And now that all family crises are more or less under control, I can go back to frivolous stuff. Perhaps even do a sheet mask? Wink

FrustratedFrugal · 06/01/2017 18:24

Ememem 🙇🏼‍♀️

DragonNoodleCake · 06/01/2017 18:48

I caved...I ordered from Avon Sad

woodhill · 06/01/2017 19:01

Lovely beauty box from John Lewis mail shot, sorely tempted at £25.

Thanks Kwik feel happier today but tooth still niggling.

Chin and neck gone a bit red when I removed make up.

AvaBird · 06/01/2017 19:05

Hello!
I don't really have a hoard but I would like to use up some makeup.
At the moment, my bag contains,
2 Matte Me Lippies
1 Kiko Lipliner
1 Maybelline Tattoo Me
1 Kiko Eyeliner
1 Kiko Eyeshadow (two colours)
1 Massive No Brand Eyeshadow Palette
1 Body Shop Foundation
1 Body Shop Bronzer
1 Body Shop BB Cream
3 Lippies
1 Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette
1 Kiko Mascara
1 Body Shop Moisturiser

I mainly want to get rid of my lipsticks and lipglosses.
