My mum and SIL did really well at Kiko... they were out of stock of my colour which means I have been forced to download Rewards app and shop online

We had a nice spree in Lush (dry shampoo and charity pot) and Boots too (I got my Loreal cleanser half price and picked up some FRERS).

I'd love to join. I'm aiming to be better with my spending in 2017 and skincare/makeup is definitely a issue for me! Keeping track of my used items would be a good incentive for me Smile

woodhill · 29/12/2016 19:22

I've used up my Lancôme perfume. DH bought me another one for Christmas (well I ordered it, he will paySmile).

purpleviolet1 · 29/12/2016 20:50

Not very glamorous but just finished an aveeno cream which was lying about. Can move onto cocoa butter for my growing itchy bump now!

kwick · 29/12/2016 22:46

Welcome funny!!!

Hello funny.

I have no empties to report, but I did have an online basket full of makeup goodies and I closed it down without ordering it.

I'm off to IL's tomorrow. Wonder if I return with stuff.

I have been making a big effort lately, and wearing makeup everyday, gotta use up the stash somehow and it has the side effect of making me feel glam.

DragonNoodleCake · 30/12/2016 00:20

I forgot to check if you are all feeling better??

kwick · 30/12/2016 07:45

Dragon you are a stronger woman than me major online Kiko blast last night

Welcome FunnyBunny, you are in good company! Good luck with your resolutions!

I just had a mini clearout, mostly focusing on the kitchen (I took out at least a cubic meter of post-Christmas trash). However, I also had time to sort out a messy corner in my bathroom. A shoebox that used to be full of cosmetics is now empty and it has been discarded.

I've made a list of 5 full-size products to be used by February and am also thinking of tackling a monstruous body butter (it will take all winter).

FiveShelties · 30/12/2016 10:42

dragon that is seriously impressive.

I am unsubscribing from all the marketing emails in a bid to stop buying more stuff.

FrustratedFrugal · 30/12/2016 10:45

Today's red : Yves Rocher Rouge Gourmand 🍒

Also testing Max Factor Facefinity compact foundation in 01 Porcelain. It's slightly pink and cool, a better shade match for my pale winter skin than Sensai.

Kwick I need to know more about the Kiko blast!

I am attempting a total cosmetics shopping ban in 2017 to really reduce my stash. (However, when I go abroad, I am allowed to buy a few souvenirs Wink)

FrustratedFrugal · 30/12/2016 10:54

Dragon well done - amazing willpower

dogdaydisaster · 30/12/2016 11:13

Loving reading through all of your shopping tales Grin I'm off to Westfield in a few days with DD and may treat myself to a MAC foundation.

No empties here, as I've been in a glorious make up free lull since the family left the other day. Heading into central London for drinks with friends later so will glam up then.

A question for you experts. DD is 13 and has stunning light red hair, which means virtually invisible eyebrows. She's nagging me to get them tinted, but I wondered if anyone could recommend a decent fair penil or powder solution to try before, she seems so young to be starting with all that. Will go to mac and Bobbi brown at Westfield and happy to try their stuff if it works.

kwick · 30/12/2016 13:05

frustrated you are a stronger woman than me... I have already had a few cosmetics sprees and it is not even 2017...
You really rock a red lip!
So Kiko haul included:
3 different foundations
A concealer
A make up fixer spray
A lipstick
A hand glove thing

Sorry dog cannot help - am dark myself

I've put some make up on today, will chuck mascara, bit cloggy. Tried new lip pen from my M&S beauty calendar, eye pencil has disappeared which is strange.

Feel overwhelmed by make up products but will try to use most days to use up items

FunnyBunny01 · 30/12/2016 14:04

Thanks for the welcome! Had one use up this morning, Bravura revitalising ginseng toner. Not a fan of this exfoliating toner, would not repurchase. I am replacing with the Zelens PHA+ pads

dogdaydisaster · 30/12/2016 14:56

I finished up the spiced apple shower gel from my Christmas gift. It was lovely, like Christmas in a bottle.

applesandpears33 · 30/12/2016 14:56

Another empty for me - Chainbridge Honey Farm hand balm. I really liked this and will repurchase when I see it for sale. A small jar lasts a really long time and it does seem to help to keep my hands in good shape.

MrsDilligaf · 30/12/2016 15:25

Finished a bottle of Clinique Aromatics Elixir. I ❤❤❤❤ this perfume and have worn it for 25 years. Thankfully I had a new bottle from my parents for Christmas Xmas Grin

As far as make up goes I haven't worn much over the holidays because DD is now crawling and I barely have time to clean my teeth let alone put make up on!

FrustratedFrugal · 30/12/2016 16:54

MrsD I like Aromatics Elixir too. I can never wear it myself (it is inextricably linked to an ex-boss) but I do enjoy catching a whiff.

Kwick I am enjoying your mini haul by proxy Wink

Apples Dogday FunnyBunny well done!

Woodhill is it easier if you pick just 1-3 makeup products for daily use? I always have to overcome initial reluctance - usually after some days I start really liking the products.

FreeButtonBee · 30/12/2016 18:04

Good work team. I am breaking out the new bath oils tonight - a choice between ren rose Otto, an old favourite from my brother or new minimalist Japanese one from funky new place called shiro. I am allowed three baths using the new stuff and then I have to finish my old bottle of Waitrose bog standard stuff.

Feeling much better now and back on the wine and chocs after brief hiatus for vomiting bug.

I have 5 samples lined up for after tonight's bath. All body ones. Might even do a sheet mask.

Purchased first new bottle of skin care in ages. A bottle of Korean essence. I love this stuff. It makes my skin feel so comfy and hydrated after cleansing and everything else goes on like a dream. Not expensive but I really thought about it and I don't have anything like it in the box of doom.

January goals - finish a body lotion, aforementioned bath oil, body shop shower gel (bored of this now, scent is a bit too strong) and I will choose one other over the weekend.

Can't wait to get the tree down now

DragonNoodleCake · 30/12/2016 21:10

Frustrated a whole shoebox - woohoo

DragonNoodleCake · 30/12/2016 21:12

Problem is frustrated it was a basket full of Yves Rocher lipsticks that I really want thanks to your fab photos but I just can not justify more lipsticks

FreeButtonBee · 30/12/2016 21:21

Just finished my bath and used a rather crappy tea tree sheet mask but then used up 4 samples. A ren emollient cream - too thick although okay now it's sunk in and 3 mustela meternity creams/ gels for firming/stretch marks etc. Texture lovely but the smell! Lordy! I might investigate their kiddy line though as I like the smell of that and the texture of the gel moisturisers was really lovely and would be very nice for summer. Smell like a tart's boudoir now 😄
