I haven't even considered heels for about 30 years.

I also bought the M&S calendar.

I have gone plum (suede, wedge) crazy.

I like the sound of Kondoing but hopefully I'll suddenly get a pile more work in and won't gave to do it.

Rose, is it really a year since your Dad passed? I do hope you get through comfortably. Difficult times Flowers

Rosebag · 14/11/2016 18:05

Thank you WAF I am feeling very low at the moment...must the something do with it. The year has gone by and I still haven't resolved the feeling that the ceremonies as the time didn't help me.

Delicious heels, btw....

motherinferior · 14/11/2016 18:17

Rose, this has been a truly awful year. Just awful.

I am going to put various veg in the oven, in slightly desultory manner, and practise some singing.

Cremolafoam · 14/11/2016 19:07

Ooh gorgeous georgeous shoes Waf. Fancy pants.

So am dithering over the advent calendar. Will I keep it ? Or give it to dsil for her 50th? Or Christmas?
Has anyone ripped it open opened it yet , to help me decide?

Rose

wordassociationfootball · 14/11/2016 19:39

Crem - fecknuts re motor. So sorry. BTW, I did laugh at your thing about your parents not liking the chairs they bought you.

I also laughed at cv's dd's 'wrinkles and shit' comment about the M&S calendar. It may have been the final push I needed to buy it.

wordassociationfootball · 14/11/2016 19:43

Clark's, Crem. Via Rose's recommendation.

Rose, your needs were so hijacked re: ceremony etc, I would seriously consider finding a therapist to support you in working it through.

motherinferior · 14/11/2016 20:04

Crem, keep the calendar.

herbaceous · 14/11/2016 20:17

Crem, give the calendar to me. Was the prang while you were en voiture, or had it been done while you were in the shops?

Re the iPhone, DP was tidying away old iPhone boxes, and has thrown them away. I thought my old phone was in there. He claims he checked before throwing them away. I now have to rifle through the wheelie bin outside. Mmmm....

hattymattie · 14/11/2016 20:19

I second keep the calendar Crem - only wish I could get my hands on one.

MM - so sorry you are still in poor health - it doesn't help having winter coming up. I feel permanently chilly with the damp weather at the moment.

Rose Flowers - the year seems to have gone by very quickly. Love and best wishes.

WAF - fab shoes, I only wish I could walk in those sort of things - they look amazing.

Cocoa - I did the knicker drawer thing as well - and amazingly for me it has stayed in place Smile. I am not very good at throwing things out though - and I have thrown things out, forgotten and then searched for them in my cupboards.

DS just made me watch the John Oliver show on the election of Trump. Quite excellent and highly recommended. Very worried about the nomination of a hard right wing and apparently anti-semitic chief strategist - this does not bode well.

herbaceous · 14/11/2016 20:23

Have found the iPhone. It was in a drawer.

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 14/11/2016 20:53

I found an iPhone in the bonfire last weekend Blush

God only knows who it belonged too.... this garden will reap architectural treasures in years to come....

Watching NW for those of you from London - loved the book.

bigTillyMint · 14/11/2016 21:36

Cremo, keep the calendar and enjoy it for yourself - you deserve it Smile

Is no one else coming on the 26th? MrsS, Addle, Lalsy, WAF, and anyone else, have you checked your diaries?!

Lalsy · 14/11/2016 21:52

Rose, is there anything you would like to do? Would writing something about your df help? You could share it with friends or PM it to some crepeys or something?

Lovely shoes, WAF.

I can't make 26 am afraid.

Crem, oh no te car, not what you need!

Hatty is that Mr breitbart man? Vile vile.

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/11/2016 21:58

Put me down for the 26th.

Have just got in from Waitrose, and spent enough to use my £35 off voucher, so that was like getting the gin and a couple of bottles of wine free.

Work seems to be a downward spiral from which there is no escape.

BTM am dying to meet you all, but have a prior engagement with Al Murray (the pub landlord) closer to home. Bought tickets eons ago. I thought DH and I could do with a laugh. I hope he's not too misogynistic.

Please keep me in the loop in the new year.

Lalsy will be in touch. I have an 18 year old to get packed up for departure later this week to NZ. Been a bit busy.

Glad the Marie Kondo system works for some.

Cremolafoam · 14/11/2016 23:08

Grin> Rudy. Probably asked yourself : "is it giving me joy?"

Snurk. Fwiw I do fold my knickers.Hmm

Hatty I'll send you a m&s calendar of you like. They has zillions of them here.

CointreauVersial · 14/11/2016 23:49

I'm afraid I'm a no for the 26th - DH has arranged for friends to come for dinner, and we haven't seen them for ages.
