What flat ankle boots are we going to be wearing this winter, especially with skirts and dresses?

Ooooh have been wondering this myself. What am I going to wear with dresses/skirts for work?

olderthanyouthink · 16/09/2016 19:01

Apparently over the knee/thigh high boots, according to the guardian

Polkadot1974 · 16/09/2016 19:13

Over the knee? Hope not. I'm so short I would look like I'm in panto
Someone linked to some mushroom boots the other week. They were lush

Hopefully · 16/09/2016 19:53

Thigh high or Chelsea boots with a slight western heel rather than the traditional sole seems to be the order of the day.

Hopefully · 16/09/2016 19:54

I've embraced the thigh high, but my Chelsea boots will remain firmly riding-boot-soled Grin.

Thurlow · 16/09/2016 20:02

Another shortie so over the knee is definitely not happening here either! I do normally like in biker boots but not sure if they're right this year?

There's loads of suede around this year. I've just bought my first suede boots in years - wonder how long it'll take for me to trash them! Grin

ShiroiKoibito · 16/09/2016 20:31

what about these?
I got them in the US in holiday, they're 'Steve Madden ' whoever he is

toffeeboffin · 16/09/2016 21:35

Dick Whittington Grin

AmberNectarine · 16/09/2016 21:44

Thigh high, sock boots with a chunky heel, flattish pixie type boots and biker boots seem to be en vogue.

PatMullins · 16/09/2016 21:46

Schteve Madnnn? Wink

WhooooAmI24601 · 16/09/2016 22:20

I can't say Steve Madden without pretending to be that sturdy lad playing snooker who throws his shoe about whilst off his tits on quaaludes.

I'm going for thigh-highs this year. I'm 5'8" with long, decent legs so hope to pull it off. The DCs will probably instruct me not to wear them if I look too ridiculous.

ShiroiKoibito · 16/09/2016 22:25

I haven't seen it, but I only paid £19?? for them and I like them

might have to watch it now

gingerbreadmanm · 16/09/2016 22:28

i think leathwr amkle boots with a sock top. i saw some on river island and imagine they will look nice. pretty cool for a change. also alternative heels e.g. heels at an angle.

prettywhiteguitar · 16/09/2016 22:30

Love love Steve Madden shoes, I have some lovely sky high wedges that are really comfy ! Wolf of wall st is an awesome film

PacificDogwod · 16/09/2016 22:32

There seems to be a lot of this kind of thing about if what I saw in the shops today is anything to go by Hmm - NOT my cup of tea, but quite striking...

Over the knee is so not going to be happening here either.

RunnyRattata · 16/09/2016 22:36

Love those boots but they're way out of my price range and not going to work on a rather dumpy fifty something

PacificDogwod · 16/09/2016 22:38

The ones I linked to, Runny?

There are far cheaper versions about too - hang on a mo'...
