Inspired by the useful thread. I bought a superdry bomber with a fluffy hood this winter. It was I think £85. It looked fab for about a month then it started shedding lining under the arms in white lumps which lin like I have some crazy disease. Then one of the Zips broke. It's going in the charity shop nah soon and I've had it about 9 months. Unimpressed!
Please guide me with what else not to waste my cash on Grin

Worn them once that should say.

Nearlyadoctor · 19/08/2016 07:42

Skechers trainers/ light up ones for Dd, worn half a dozen times and the sides started to come unglued from the sole.

Lots and lots of oils and fruit enzyme powders as I wanted to go completely natural with my face products. Jojoba oil gave me acne, hemp seed oil sebhorraic (sp?) dermatitis, and rosehip oil made my rosacea flare up. The papain and bromelain powder smelled like actual shit! I forked out £££ on dermalogica products to correct it. My skin is lovely now but it was awful for months.

Multiple foundations (only samples, but at £3-5 a pop it still adds up after a few). I live in the arse end of nowhere so getting somewhere to try high end brands is a PITA.

The Hush long cashmere cardigan. £90, and after three wears it was so bobbly it looked like the dog had been using it as a blanket. What a total waste.

Meanwhile my Tesco cashmere cardigan, bought six years ago for £14 in the sale, still looks like it did the day I bought it.

lurkingfromhome · 19/08/2016 08:30

And I did mean three wears and not three years, in case you were thinking three years wasn't so bad Smile

NicknameUsed · 19/08/2016 08:41

I have worn and worn my Go Walks. They have been through the washer several times as well. You must have a faulty pair.

MrsGsnow18 · 19/08/2016 14:07

What is a BBC hoodie?

Worst buy for me was a faux leather jacket Blush I looked so stupid in it. It was too big too when I bought it, so only looks good zipped up which just made me look like an eejit.
It's still hanging up in wardrobe, should really go on eBay....

IcedVanillaLatte · 19/08/2016 14:10

Licenced hoodie from the BBC store. Official licenced merch.

Floisme · 19/08/2016 14:27

Im laughing at the poster whose white shirt dress looks like a lab coatGrin

SapphireSeptember · 19/08/2016 15:29

lurkingfromhome Tesco cashmere cardi you say? I didn't know such a thing existed! Shock

Nothing too bad, but I bought a cardi from Peacocks last month in the sale (£6.) I was cold and it was cheap, but it was one of those waterfall ones that just look ridiculous on me. Sad Shame as it's viscose and it feels lovely.

(Viscose/modal/rayon is one my favourite fabrics as it can imitate silk and velvet, it's soft and it's almost a natural material.)

I've bought stuff from charity shops and eBay that when I get home don't fit. Luckily I can take stuff back to charity shops. Not so much with eBay.

All the korean products i tried from the thread on here, smelt like burnt rubber for days, and gave up after a week as my skin was shocking and looked like id had acid thrown at me. The very worst was a bb cream i tried that gave me the geisha white face. Dp walked in just as i was trying it fr the first time and immediately pissed himself laughing. That got thrown away.

sapphire tesco do the best cashmere ive found, got my stripey jumper in the sale 3 years ago for £15 after christmas, only got rid of it because it had a hole in from a bra wire. Im waiting till after xmas to get a few more.

And very good tip about the women's refuge for unwanted products, I gave a load of clothes, toys & christmas decoration bits last year, didn't even think about an ything like my unwanted beauty hoard!

Glamorousglitter · 19/08/2016 16:48

Have had numerous changers this year so far.
Leather tote - from mint velvet - straps came off need to bring it back to them
Massimo dutti - tops - had holes in them after one - yes one !- wear. NEVER shopping there again EVER.
I ve had some hush bargains TBH. Loved their stuff this year.

habibihabibi · 19/08/2016 17:09

These cost a bomb and lasted a day before the strap pulled out and I was stuck in too small Thai flipflops for the remaining holiday .
Purchased airside at the airport so don't even know how to return them .
Have never had any problems with Havianas before .

Clarks pewter brogues, narrow fitting. They look great on but they clonk every step I take and I can't break them in. They dig in under my ankles all the time. I even took them to get resoled with less noisy soles but they are still noisy and they still hurt my feet.

I'm back to trainers and orthopaedic looking sandals!

spiderlight · 19/08/2016 19:38

Adidas Messi leather trainers for DS. The first time he wore them they started to smell of cat piss (we don't have a cat) and the smell has got stronger with every wear. Apparently it's to do with the glue but I have tried everything and I can't get rid of it.

KatieScarlettReregged2 · 19/08/2016 19:43

Chanel solid foundation.
Gorgeous on blemish free skin.
Oxidises on top of my concealer.
I have hormonal acne.
It actually points out my zits.

Rugbycomet · 19/08/2016 19:44

Fish...was making Thai fish cakes for a party...tasted one and the fish was off 😳 Had to go and spend another €50 and I was not happy!

Rugbycomet · 19/08/2016 19:46

Oops..just seen this in style and beauty. Obviously don't put fish cakes on my face 😳

KatieScarlettReregged2 · 19/08/2016 19:50

Thai fish cakes are stylish though. But yes, not on your face unless you've been using my foundation.

lozzybeast · 19/08/2016 19:50

Jamberry nail foils. Utter shite!

Lambbone · 19/08/2016 19:53

Carvela white flat form loafers.

Gorgeous, but it turns out they make me walk like a duck and shred my feet.

Wolfqueen92 · 19/08/2016 19:53

Shoes from primark! I've bought three pairs. I swear they fitted in the store. Got them home, walked about eight damn feet in them and instant blisters! Evil torture machines! I've done this three times now! I am permanently broke thanks to nursery fees and never spend much on my own wardrobe. So livid was an understatement! I've now discovered mountain warehouses seventy percent sale. Money much better spent!

Galdos · 19/08/2016 19:55

A fancy expensive summer hat, because it's summer, y'know? My stained baseball cap is much more comfortable and practical. Grrr.
