I would say the ears are pushed back. I think getting ears added is a bit risky, because how would they do it and make it look right? Personally I would leave it alone because I'd be worried the artist might bodge it Smile

Have you got any photos copper? I love Rebecca Vincent's work.

Cocolepew · 22/08/2016 20:25

I think it looks great Hairy, I wouldn't get the ears added.

coppergrey · 22/08/2016 20:35

They're quite identifiable Jinkx so won't share pics but will describe - I have a butterfly on my arm, a floral posy (based on my wedding bouquet) on my shoulder and stag antlers on my ribcage. All in Rebecca's finely detailed style. I love them!

HairySubject · 22/08/2016 20:42

Thanks, I will leave it alone.

They sound lovely copper I like the idea of having your wedding flowers.

PeachGoddess · 23/08/2016 07:18

copper I'm in Leeds too.

I'm excited for my next tattoos 🙊

DavetheCat2001 · 23/08/2016 10:07

Hi all! Loving all the beautiful tat-pics!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but I had a butterfly on my inner arm done in June. I am now thinking of having another one a bit above it. I have a vision of butterfly's flying up my arm! Not sure though...

I think one of the reasons I am hesitant is my mother absolutely HATES tattoos. She's in her late 70's and comes from a generation where only sailors and navvies had tats..definitely NOT women!

She has accepted the fact I have tattoos (3), but they clearly upset her, so wavering a bit....

Honestly, you'd think at 43 you wouldn't have to consider what your mum thinks!

JazzTheDog · 23/08/2016 10:37

Found the thread again, some gorgeous ink since I last posted!

SilkScarf · 23/08/2016 11:16

Had a brilliant cover up done last May. Got the idea from tattoo fixers and was looking at tattoo artists pretty far away only to find a fantastic lady almost on my doorstep. If anyone is looking for good tattoo studio not far from London Google " Aching Soul Sidcup". They hand designed the cover up for me after they photographed and traced the existing tattoo to make sure it would fit. Once the design was finished they called me in to see if it was ok and then booked the appointment to get it done. They also offer for clients to go back once the tattoo has settled after a few weeks just in case something needs touching up.
Very happy with it, would recommend. Smile

Had to cancel my consultation tomorrow as I still can't sit! Am planning a back one now as well as adding to my current one. It's bloody addictive...
Copper I love Rebecca Vincent's work, bet yours are lovely. Dave, I would definitely go for it, my dad hates tattoos too, but I wouldn't let it stop me!
Sounds good Silk, would you share a picture?

ThatIsNachoCheese · 23/08/2016 17:25

Hairy, I agree, I don't think you should get the ears added, I would be worried it wouldn't look quite right. I think it looks great as it is Smile

HairySubject · 23/08/2016 20:58

Thanks Nacho how disappointing for you to have to cancel. And that you are still in pain Flowers

Ian so excited for tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing Mr Beardy Tattoo Manchester and being serenaded (out of tune) whilst he decorates my least favourite body part.

ThatIsNachoCheese · 23/08/2016 21:12

Thanks Hairy, I'm having a massage tomorrow which I can't wait for. I can imagine how excited you are, looking forward to seeing pics, let us know how you get on with hunky tattoo man GrinWink

HairySubject · 23/08/2016 22:17

I will report back with a full update and a picture tomorrow.

Hope the massage helps!

ThatIsNachoCheese · 24/08/2016 22:55

Hairy! How did you get on?

HairySubject · 25/08/2016 15:40

My appointment was cancelled. Soooooo disappointing.

ThatIsNachoCheese · 25/08/2016 16:04

Oh no!! Sad have you made another one? How disappointing for you

talksensetome · 25/08/2016 17:54

Not yet, he did say he would message me but not heard so far. Will call in the shop on Saturday .

How was your massage? Did it help?

ThatIsNachoCheese · 25/08/2016 18:05

What a pain for your, hope you don't have to wait long. I cancelled my massage as I woke up in agony, much better today and have rebooked it for next week.
I've been considering my next tattoo ando may have a mandala on my back, and a small dot work shell on my ankle, Dh won't even talk to me about it but I don't blame him after how I reacted last time!

LostQueen · 25/08/2016 20:54

Ooooh a tatto thread! I've been wanting a new tattoo forever but I keep saying I need to lose weight before I get it. Five years later, I still don't have it and I've still not lost weight Grin. So I've decided to just go for it.
What I want is a piece that covers my shoulder and upper arm so it's not the kind of work I would get done all at once. I've decided to start with Hibiscus flowers on my shoulder but more at the front of my shoulder than at the top of my arm if that makes sense.

LostQueen · 25/08/2016 20:54

*tattoo

ThatIsNachoCheese · 26/08/2016 14:49

That sounds beautiful lost, have you chosen an artist?

ditavonteesed · 29/08/2016 07:13

Another vote for no on the ears, they are pushed back because the baby is having a snuggle.

It's saturday, I have finished my last shift as a student nurse and I am very much in the mood for some tattoo chat. Hows everyone?

Nacho hows your back?

Hairy you got another appointment yet?
Jazz how did your jigsaw pieces heal in the end? Last I remember a couple were worrying you.

Hey Dita, my massage helped loads, I'm going back again next week, will have some myofacial release therapy at the same time so fingers crossed!
When is your new tattoo booked in? I'm going to rebook my consultation as soon as I can sit normally. Getting my hair done today (after 5 months!) And may have to stand up for some of it, thank goodness my hairdresser is so understanding...
