Coco how's your tattoo healing? Any better?

Could I have a bit of advice on mine please?
I've been slapping on cream twice a day since Saturday morning and this is how it looks this afternoon (day 5?) should it be peeling like this already?? I've been staying out of the sun and covered with cotton tshirt.

Thanks dita , I had proper chunks of skin flaking off 😕 so I was a bit worried.

Oh yes, mine peeled like I had a wicked case of sunburn. It was quite disconcerting to see bit of multicoloured skin falling into the shower! Now it's mostly all peeled and all healed apart from some areas that feel a little raised still. Itching has almost gone too. It'll be two weeks on Saturday.

And not Saturday morning, I meant Sunday. Oops.

I had a massive scab for ages but since going in tbe bath the other night it suddenly started to heal. I don't know if that's a coincidence or not.
Only a small bit left that's nearly healed.

Hooray I found you all! I had mine in April and initially hated it and would have done anything to get rid of it, I love it now and have a consultation end of this month to add to it, it's a mandala/mehndi shoulder one. Loving all the pics

What made you hate it initially Nacho? I must admit I had a wobble the morning after my tattoo. Just thinking "uh oh, what have I done?" Then I actually took a look at back in the mirror again, and my first thought was "that's fucking badass"

I think it was just the big change I hated, I'm not really a fan of change clearly! Here it is now all healed, I'm hoping to have some more added going onto the top of my shoulder

That was what I did Jinkx, but for about 2 months and without thinking it was badass! I'm totally over it now, it's definitely become part of me, and a part I love.

Nacho I thought it looked lovely when you first showed us and it still does, and it's healed really well.

I quite fancy my tattoo artist and he keeps saying how lonely he gets being single so I might have to book in for some more ink and flirting

Oh well that sounds like a plan! God it's on Wednesday, I have no concept of time recently, I've been on sick leave since a back op 3 months ago, I spend my days in bed because it's the only place I'm not in agony. I'm not ready for another tattoo yet due to the sitting but I'm OK for a consultation. Good luck with your hunky tattooist

Great thread! I have three tattoos, all by Rebecca Vincent - I love, love, love her work.

I'm currently pregnant so planning my next one for next year! Annoyingly, my last tattoo (on my upper arm) has a bit of an under-the-skin ink bleed which has left a small, dark semi-circle under the design. So hoping to have that covered with something floral (although I am quite worried about it bleeding out again...).

I'd also love something on my leg by Armelle STB - she's based in Paris but seems to guest in the UK quite often. She was actually in Leeds (where I live) a few weeks ago... terrible timing for me at 20-odd weeks pregnant!

Can I have the expert opinion of you lot please?
I have this elephants tattoo but I think the baby elephant is missing his ears and was going to get them added in. I was telling someone yesterday and they think that the ears are pushed back and it doesn't need any adjustment.

So do I get the ears added in or not?
