Oh...MI. I don't suppose DM is well enough to be taken to visit some of these places to see for herself?

Flowers BD

I like the look of that Curvy Kate bra MrsS......have never tried this brand, so might be tempted. Do love a red bra....

I am feeling a vaguely sick...after a delicious Korma last night locally with friends. It always happens, I don't know why. Crawled to a 2 hour writing session with ConS this morning, and ..... we have finished Draft 5..... Smile

All quiet on the Annoying Trustee front for the moment after my less than tactful email. Fingers crossed. Hmm

Thinking of Monty and Auriga Flowers and also wondering if Rudy is ok...and you, NU where are you?

motherinferior · 30/03/2016 13:23

She is well enough at the moment, Rose, and of course I have to support her if that is her decision (sigh)....

Poor old DD2 has set off for the cinema and the train that would whizz her up there is cancelled! AngryI am proud of her for not panicking, though. We have sorted another route.

Rosebag · 30/03/2016 16:37

MI I hear ya, sister. Flowers

I am hoping Crepeys will be pleased with me. I have acquired a private client for work, and have doubled my hourly rate (from what Annoying Trustee Organisation was paying me...) who didn't bat an eyelid and has paid me in advance! And I have started the literature search for some teaching in May, that I have been invited to do (via a contact who first met me via Annoying Trustee Organisation), nearly tripled my lecturing rate and they asked me if I was sure that I was charging enough!!!!! I can only assume Annoying Trustee Organisation was raking it in, and paying its tutors a pittance....What a fool I have been. Maybe the phoenix is staggering up from the ashes.

Just dealing with mild annoyance of being locked out of the online journal service of my professional membership organisation.... but on the plus side have managed to get three books, used, for next to nothing from Amazon. Smile

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/03/2016 18:03

Yay! You go Rose! Tell Annoying Trustee where to shove it!

Dreamqueen · 30/03/2016 18:09

That all sounds fantastic rose the other people really undervalued you.

herbaceous · 30/03/2016 18:40

Go Rose! Go Rose! (does that swivelly hipped dance)

Jolly day today. Appointment with DS's regular lovely eye doctor this morning to get him a new shell; lunch at Wagamama; cinema to see Zootropolis (not bad for a family film); coffee with old chum; drove home and about to go out again to the Gilbert Scott for drinks with another good chum who's 50 today.

Cashflow crisis, so trying to remember the PINs for my credit cards. Or hoping they're contactless... Or else I'll be plying my trade round the back of Kings Cross. If one can still do that, post-gentrification.

Rose, that's terrific! Really pleased for you. And I hope it'll make it even easier to tell ATO to sod off.

Stropperella · 30/03/2016 20:23

Congrats on the juicy new client, Rose. Onwards and upwards!

Have had a lovely time having a Crepey mini-MU with BTM, here in the not-so-Wild West. Fish and chips, fizz, cocktails, a bracing walk and lots of yakking Grin

CointreauVersial · 30/03/2016 20:39

Because you're WORTH it, Rose.

Wild West meet-up sounds fun, particularly the cocktails.

Terribly quiet here, without the DDs.

Lalsy · 30/03/2016 20:45

Hurrah, Rose, am chuffed to bits for you. Well done.

Family joys wearing a bit thin here...Could do with the house to myself for a month or so - or a much bigger house.

bigTillyMint · 30/03/2016 21:05

Well done Rose!

Collymollypuff · 30/03/2016 21:06

Yakking Stropps/BTM? Surely not! Am quite Envy Smile

Lalsy, I feel like that re the house - it's bittersweet, isn't it? Lovely that they're here, fantastic that they can cook, but where am I supposed to put my food? Oh, well. I expect when I'm ancient I'll be glad they can feed me. Rose, congrats on the work coup!

bigTillyMint · 30/03/2016 21:08

Molly, you would have loved it - Stroppdog is sooooo cute and funnyEnvy

Collymollypuff · 30/03/2016 21:10

Still think we should have a baddest crepey dog competition...they would probably all be lovely best friends...or possibly not.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 30/03/2016 21:51

Dinner in the pub with dh and s1. V enjoyable.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 30/03/2016 21:54

Typed a whole message there and only the last sentence posted. V odd.
It was to say that my money is on dGoatdog winning any badass dog contest hands paws down. She is a perpetual embarrassment and a disgrace. But we luffs her v much.
Glad you had a fab time Stropps and BTM. Sounds fab.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 30/03/2016 21:55

I only had 2 (two, II) glasses of Pinot Noir. Honest Guv.

Blackduck · 30/03/2016 22:19

Oh Envy at mini meet up.

BDhound would have won any competing paws down, but not these days.... He's a very old man who really doesn't want to know anymore :(.

CointreauVersial · 30/03/2016 22:39

DGoatDog is adorable and knows it Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/03/2016 22:45

The Shitten would win any worst behaved cat contest hands down...

When and where on Saturday?

motherinferior · 31/03/2016 08:35

The Shitten does indeed make all three (3, iii) cats chez Inferiority Complex look positively prestige Wink

Spring is sprung, the grass is ris, I wonder where the crepeys is
Blackduck · 31/03/2016 08:59

Waterstones? Late afternoon? How does it work for MI and BTM?

motherinferior · 31/03/2016 09:05

It works like a thing that works extremely well. 5pm?

herbaceous · 31/03/2016 09:47

Help. Me.

Met up with old chum for 'a quick birthday drink'. Had cocktail. Had champagne. Went to 'our' Caminos at Kings Cross and had red wine. And then some more. And then some more. I woke up a 6.30 and had to commune with Brian. And now I have to go to my parents. I'm going on the train, as would be unfit to drive, but this requires movement. And entertaining v jolly DS all the way.

Oh dear herbs... Alka seltzer? You poor thing. Maybe try and lay off the sauce a bit before travelling? Grin I guess it all tastes a lot better on the way in than on the way out.
