these

His fairly valid point is that I already own glittery copper boots. But these are SILVER!!!

I nearly like them. But you would be a hop and a skip away from being a parrot earrings lady.

MoreGilmoreGirls · 01/02/2016 18:14

No from me.

IHeartKingThistle · 01/02/2016 19:03

No parrot earrings here.

I thought they were hideous until I saw the pictures of people wearing them. If you wore them like that, they'd look pretty good on you.

IHeartKingThistle · 01/02/2016 19:20

I would DEFINITELY be that cool.

Granny shoes

IHeartKingThistle · 01/02/2016 19:26

My grannies didn't wear pointy silver boots!

Those clarks blog pics show just how far from mumsy these boots are, worn the right way they are very edgy and fashionable. They look fab, just a bit pants on the photo of just them. A million times better on. My frien has them in black and she looks amazing in them, mid thirties and quite daring in her dress sense. She calls them 80's goth. Which they are I suppose, they remind me of the sisters of mercy!!

IHeartKingThistle · 01/02/2016 21:20

Ooh that's now two people who have seen them in real life and think they are fab! I think those votes count for more, personally...Wink

Sorry I think they're absolutely ghastly Blush
Really fussy with the 3 buckles, flat and wide, remind me of those footglove shoes for wide feet.
However, they have to be comfortable to make up for the appearance, surely?!

soupmaker · 01/02/2016 21:33

I'm a massive fan of Clarks. I have some brilliant shiny rose gold loafers which are fab. I've also got lovely brown suede ankle boots which look very expensive. They are so damn comfy. I'd go for it OP. I think these would look fab with skinny jeans or slim fitting ankle grazer trousers. I'd wear with bright socks too. I'm not sure about them with skirts or dresses unless you have really good legs and slim ankles.

ofuckit · 01/02/2016 21:42

They are hideous.

If you really must have them, give it six months. You're sure to find them in the Final Clearance section in the sales for a fiver Grin

bbpp · 01/02/2016 21:48

I think they look awful on the site but styled nicely, I think they'd be quite nice. And I'm definitely not a granny.

Kenworthington · 01/02/2016 21:51

They are utterly BRILLIANT and in fact I may also need a pair. Lush!!

PooDogMillionaire · 01/02/2016 21:53

No, sorry.

Something like this would be cool though

I think these boots are super. DH thinks they are lame. Who is right?
PooDogMillionaire · 01/02/2016 21:54

(If you're going for silver ankle boots that is)

SwedishEdith · 01/02/2016 21:58

The trouble with the blog of people wearing them is that a) it's called 'DressLikeAMum' montage - which sounds slightly mocking Hmm and b) they are young so it's looks cool and ironic which it won't when you're not young.

FankEweVeryMuch · 01/02/2016 22:00

I was coming on to say DLAM wears them and pulls them off. They're not my style but I can see how they'd work in the right person.

PacificDogwod · 01/02/2016 22:02

Sorry, it's a now from me too.

I think Mitzy got it in one on page 1 Grin

Now, if you could all persuade me that these ones are hideous too DH would be v grateful

Dafspunk · 01/02/2016 22:02

Jesus, they're like Jack Sparrow does Intergalactica.

iamEarthymama · 01/02/2016 22:04

If YOU like them, buy them!

Take no notice of anyone else.

Except me, because I really like them!

FlatOnTheHill · 01/02/2016 22:10

Look like a granny trying to be a bit trendy. Absolute NO.

LaContessaDiPlump · 01/02/2016 22:13

How do you all know what is cool and what is not?

I have stopped making any effort with clothes because I will inevitably come home and realise that the thing which I thought was quite nice in the shop has turned out to be a dowdy frumpy horror. It saves time (and money) if I just buy M&S basics and have done with it.

I'm 34 :(

AstrantiaMallow · 01/02/2016 22:27

Horrid! Sorry:)

AstrantiaMallow · 01/02/2016 22:28

Not the silver, but the shape & the buckles. It's trying too hard but is a bit shapeless somehow.
