His fairly valid point is that I already own glittery copper boots. But these are SILVER!!!

I'm gonna go against the grain and say I like them :) they would look good with jeans or dresses/skirts with thick black tights.

What about these ones if you're going for an ankle boot.

No I think not.

They are boots with an identity crisis. They look like they've been dug out of the back of the pantomime cupboard.

Even the pretty lady in your link looks slightly embarrassed to be wearing them.

Mitzy is clearly the shoe whispherer, listen to her.

Oh nono they are awful! I'm not opposed to a metallic boot in general but they just look really frumpy and mumsy. Are they nicer in real life?

Having said that, they are half price so if you like them go for it I guess

Those are awful. Your DH is right.

I like them but I don't £60 like them.
Maybe £30.

Colour ok, pointed toe ok, hate the three straps, the back of the boot just isn't right. I was trying to think at what price I'd possibly consider them and decided if they were £7 or less, I'd give them a punt. At £60, I agree absolutely with your dh.

They do look better in that blog with people actually wearing them.

I think the problem may be that EVERYTHING in my wardrobe says the same sentence that Mitzi is hearing. It might be too late for me.

They are a very lame copy of the toga pulla ones that have been around for a couple of years sorry but they are not for me. As others have said they are dipping their toe into being cool but hideously failing!

ummmm... I agree with your DH. However. These are for you and if you think they are super then you do what makes you happy :)

Hmm. I would very much like some silver boots. I do not like Chelsea boots and there are lots of Chelsea boots around at the moment. I like the shape of those other Clarks ones that a PP linked too, and I like lace-up boots. Any suggestions?

I haven't ventured into Kickers territory yet but it's been a close thing. This is the level of uncoolness we are dealing with here.

only 36 and dresses like a Granny trying to be cool

still love the Clarks ones

Whilst I don't love the boot I do recognise the syndrome your poor DH is suffering from- he is unable to distinguish between completely different pairs of boots
My own DH is a long term sufferer of this affliction - I recently purchased another pair of boots and he had the temerity to say they looked similar the same as a pair I already owned
This boot-blindness is severe and despite working on a cure for 25 years I haven't yet found one.

member that is very specific on the price you'd be willing to pay!

To be fair OP, if you teach small DC they'd probably like them! And they do look comfy.

My footwear became "safer" and not as fashionable when I had knee and hip pain and realised I was also at high risk of arthritis! Which heels were not helping.

Score stands at super 6, lame 26.

Sigh. That is quite conclusive.

I have these and they aren't even slightly mumsy, they look fab with skinny jeans and dresses/thick tights. I dress for me, not for my DH or anyone else...some of the comments on here are really quite nasty!

What about a silvery accessory instead?

It's okay frangipan, I've spoken to the boots and they've told me quite that they've enjoyed reading people's frank opinions.

They look like orthopedic boots.
