Revlon Flex shampoo and conditioner was the best ever! Wish it was still around.

GingerNutRiskIt · 16/01/2016 19:00

Sarah I loved vanilla kisses!

Let's not forget our afro-combs, to get those perms looking as big as we could!

NNalreadyinuse · 16/01/2016 19:01

There should be a campaign to bring back flex. Best shsmpoo ever

waitingforgodot · 16/01/2016 19:01

Salon selective shampoo that smells like red apples. Yes to all body shop smells-White musk, dewberry and coconut everything!

waitingforgodot · 16/01/2016 19:02

Can you def not get flex any more? I've seen it in someone's bathroom recently

cosytoaster · 16/01/2016 19:03

Does anyone remember block mascara? - yep I do. Worn with seventeen mint julep eye shadow. Remember DSis used to cover her perfectly good teenage skin in orangey pan stick! Everyone looked a bit shit in the 80s!

GingerNutRiskIt · 16/01/2016 19:04

VO5 hot oils
It was a real treat if I was allowed to use one of my nan's on my hair

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 16/01/2016 19:04

Ooh yes, Footdust, block mascara. And Panstick and Charlie. We lived near the Revlon factory and everyone knew someone who worked there, so got it discounted, so absolutely everyone in the town smelled of Charlie.

I chose Patchouli as an alternative!

10-0-6

I recently bought some heather shimmer Blush

Pointlessfan · 16/01/2016 19:04

Bath pearls - they were the go to birthday gift to give each other when we were about 12!
I remember all the dewberry and white musk stuff from the Body Shop and Sun In.
Had forgotten about Tribe and Exclamation! I remember feeling very grown up to receive my first proper perfume for my 16th birthday. It was CK One which had only just come out and everyone in my class wanted to try it!

GingerNutRiskIt · 16/01/2016 19:05

Dead Sea mud face mask. I think that was from the body shop too

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 16/01/2016 19:06

And bright blue liquid shimmery eyeshadow from a tube, spread right up to your eyebrows Grin

GingerNutRiskIt · 16/01/2016 19:07

Ah.... CK One......
Yeah I had that too.

Sadmother · 16/01/2016 19:08

You can still get Flex, but it doesn't smell the same. Finesse shampoo still exists too but the smell is not good. They were my favourite smells ever.

I had that perfume poison. Loved it

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 16/01/2016 19:09

I think my very first perfume was Pretty Peach from Avon. The lid was in the shape of a little peach. Present from my Auntie, who was very hip. She also bought me a large fluffy powder puff on a handle - you had to fill the body of the puff with talc and liberally hit your body all over with it. My Mum used to go mad as the bathroom always looked as though someone had emptied a pack of icing sugar in front of a wind machine.

GingerNutRiskIt · 16/01/2016 19:10

I had the iced champink lipstick too, topped off with clear liquid lip gloss

PollyPerky · 16/01/2016 19:13

I used to buy my mum mascara- might have been Revlon - in a block and you spat on the brush to wet it then run across the mascara.

Rimmel pink pearly lippie and blue frosted eye shadow in a tube.

Mary Quant foundation.

Outdoor Girl lip gloss pots (were good)

AuntieStella · 16/01/2016 19:13

Kissing potion (cola flavoured)

Anne French

And as mentioned above, 10-0-6 (The original micellar? The new ones all smell like that)

sarah2011 · 16/01/2016 19:14

My first 'expensive' perfume was ralf Lauren polo sport,

PollyPerky · 16/01/2016 19:14

Oh and Miners! Loads of eye shadows and lippies from Woolies.

footdust · 16/01/2016 19:18

There is a version of flex shampoo and conditioner out there but the formula is completely different . I got very excited when I found it in our local. Poundland but it's. not a patch on the original - that distinctive yellow colour and smell is no more
