It's raining here - I hate wearing dresses in the rain.
Am now wondering about Ganni dress] with opaques, [[https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/122230577364211540/ boots and this coat. If not I'll have to revert to the old faithful leather trousers and the usual panic that I don't have any 'going out' tops.
Anyone care to dress me from my wardrobe. Feeling a bit low on confidence today (too much to go into) so short on ideas.
Basically going to a very nice, small, local organic restaurant with parents, brother and DH. Want to look as though I've made and effort for DF but not be too overdressed.

QueenC · 06/02/2016 13:54

shop sorry you feel low on confidence (feel free to text if needed). Not sure which ganni dress you mean. How about the all saints dress with tight/boots. Or if you wear the leather trousers how about the ice pink aubin and wills shirt? Or if you don't want to be overdressed the jewelled sweatshirt?

Marsha the travel sounds exciting. I have no experience though so will leave it with the pros :)

shopafrolic · 06/02/2016 14:00

Link fail sorry QueenC Ganni

Drywhitethanks · 06/02/2016 15:23

I love the Gianni outfit.
But....if you're feeling low how about some colour? Leathers, Pink heeled suede ankle boots (happy foitwear) Cashmere fushia jumper ? Checked monochrome coat

Stokey · 06/02/2016 16:51

Ooh I Like the sound of Dry's outfit - but you look great in Ganni dress too Shop. It's not that cold, you may be a bit hot in cashmere?

I'm going for quick bite before comedy in Hipsterville. Thinking about All Saints cowl dress, black tights and biker boots, or maybe cut-out jumper but not sure what on the bottom. It's a bit short!

Marsha I was going to say the same as QueenC. My main memory of Singa & HK is humidity, and the change of going from intense AC to intense heat. Maybe cami tops and light jacket/blazer, or summer dress? I'd avoid jeans, have you got any linen or light trousers?

But I've never been at this time of year, which is generally a bit less humid IIRC. Is it Safety who's from HK? Maybe she can give more tips

shopafrolic · 06/02/2016 19:34

Am all black in the Ganni. Have lovely nights all x

safetyzone · 06/02/2016 20:30

Hi all,

Just popping back to say hi - had been busy and unwell!

shop love the outfit as well.

marsha I'm from HK and will go back in March. Depends on the season you're going, it could be humid and hot, AC is lethal. So lightweight cardigans and short sleeve T shirts for me. I don't like wearing jeans in HK so shorts can also work.

OOTD Splendid black turtleneck top and Splendid beige cashmere wrap, R13 jeans and silver trainers. It's my third day of having a shivery cold and it's grim. On the mend though...

shopafrolic · 06/02/2016 23:43

Drunk Shop checking in. I wore opaques from the Netherlands (Hema) - €4 a pair and stayed up all night - brilliant. Ganni dress a success. Felt good. DF had a great night. Off to church tomorrow (first time in 6 years) - sleep now x

Morning. God you had fun shop.
I need your advice. I tried
this on yesterday in an attempt to be more quirky. I really loved it but not £75 loved it. However on the way home I couldn't stop thinking about it. JL had one left in my size only so it felt like fashion fate so I've orded to collect today. Dh thinks it's expensive but is happy as long as I can afford it. I love it but don't need it. What should I do?

Queen I got that sweatshirt from the Next Christmas sale (always with looking on there for brands) for £35 but sent it back. Only because I have one from last year with a different front and other than that it was identical and I didn't need two so similar. I just checked to see if they have any left in their clearance so you could get it cheaper but sadly they don't.
My other one I've had for over 18 months and has worn and washed well so they do last if that helps with your decision.

One sorry to hear about your shoulder. Hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Blair hope you're feeling better too - good news on the liver front.

Marsha your trip sounds great. I think you'll need to take lots of natural fibres as the weather will be hot and humid. I had a long stopover there last year and it rained - ALL DAY Sad

We absolutely loved Las Vegas but we had 2 of the dc's with us so your experience will be different to ours Queen. We're definitely returning without them in the next few years though! Love the flamingo jumper.

Shop glad you had a good time last night.

Ootd day is navy skinnies, navy vest and red checked Zara shirt - first wearing this winter. Last night I wore black HL skinnies, white asos scalloped collar shirt, statement silver dragonfly necklace and dune black heels.
