My bags are really bad and I've been reading about 'plexr' a new, non invasive, soft surgery. Does anybody know anything it or had it done?

I have read all these comments and wondered why on earh no one has been sued for all these problems after plexr treatment, so i am pleased to read at last that someone is taking action
I had a blepheroplasy about 15 years ago,
I took the surgeon to court, and won my case, it turned out that a lot of others had had the same problem with this surgeon and i wasnt the only one sueing him
Please dont suffer in silence get some legal advice,
It is terrible that people are having treatments which makes them look and feel worse after an operation advertised as being the answer to their problems
Good luckAmandaJ305

princessTiasmum · 15/01/2019 19:33

Sorry should have explained the surgeon made a mess of my eyes and i couldnt get another surgeon to take on his mistakes, they have healed now, but it took a long time and had to wear glasses to hide the mistakes

princessTiasmum · 15/01/2019 20:14

Different thing i know to the treatment you poor people had, but its still medical negligence,is what i am saying, sue them,
The result isnt what you were expecting and what you were told it would be

edukate · 15/01/2019 20:32

So right princesTM my legal case will be funded by the union, the procedure was lacking as I experienced excessive pain and their advertising was misleading ie showing before and (1hour) after which of course showed tightening due to immediate swelling from the burns! Disgraceful! Determined to go to the wire with this as they’re a liability!

pearlkent · 15/01/2019 21:25

princessTiasmum would you mind me asking what the problem with the blepharoplasty was? Did you use a solicitor and did the case take long to sort out? I have had a bleph that I'm unhappy about, and have complained to the surgeon, but he isn't having any of it (he thinks it's all fine but it's not). I'm thinking of taking further action.
Also, on the subject of Plexr, one of the surgeons (an oculoplastic surgeon!) I consulted about a revision actually suggested to me that I should try Plexr instead of surgery as they had "just purchased a new machine" so presumably wanted to practice on me. This was after initially recommending surgery. Luckily I didn't go ahead, as it didn't seem right to me.
I'm so sorry that lots of you seem to suffering with this treatment, and can't understand why it's still allowed.

edukate · 15/01/2019 21:34

PearlKent looks like you had a lucky escape! The whole industry seems pretty unregulated mainly because I suspect they think some will be too embarrassed to complain as then others will know they’ve been “vain enough” to get “work” fine on their faces - let’s hope things are changing!

edukate · 15/01/2019 21:35

Done not “fine” on their faces sorry typo

princessTiasmum · 15/01/2019 21:48

pearlkent i think i have spoken to you before when i had another name, but the surgeon took too much off my lower eyelid and left me with a gaping eye, my other eye didnt look any different to how it was before the operation, it has now healed but took a very long time,
The case took about 18 months i think as it didnt get as far as court, and i got £10.000 compensation, but i couldnt get another surgeon to take on the revision. it would have meant a skin graft as well,so i went back to glasses,i had contact lenses before,
I am sorry you are still having problems, but you need to get a solicitor and start the action within 3 years i think,
My surgeon kept saying to massage it, apparently all surgeons say that initially,
That surgeon is dead now, but the report when he was struck off said even his nurses said he was a psychopath
The report can still be found on google
He was based in Preston, where i went and also Nottingham where he came from
My other eyelid is now drooping badly and i am hoping to get it done on the NHS, got an appointment next week, mainly because its affecting my vision now, my optician referred me to the hospital

frosty85 · 15/03/2019 01:07

I've had one session of plasma blepharo and the results have really improved my eyes. My biggest problem was i had so many little crepey lines in my eyelids that when i woke up in the morning my eyes would be a mess. After the treatment i waited until the scabs fell off then applied sudocrem to the wounds topping it up every few hours when i was home. After about the 1 month mark the red marks start to fade and you only see them when you come out of a shower. Over 6 months on now my eyelids have completely healed and i don't have one red mark or scar left over.

Hello ladies. Very sorry to read your negative experience with Plexr treatment. I would like to share my story.
After birth of two children and loss of 15 kg, my face which had never seen a Skincare Specialist before looked tired with eye bags in addition to pigmentation and quite deep wrinkles. Was offered plexr for lower eyelid in Perfect Skin Solution, Southsea. After weeks of considerations and doubts had it done by Dr Patel. The numbing cream worked fine on my skin so wasn't painfull. First couple days had swelling and looked dreadful. Had to wear sunglasses in February) Amazing improvement was seen in two weeks when the scrabs/crust came down. Absolutely happy with the Plexr result. Only had one session. Much better looking skin and good tightness. 8 weeks after treatment skin is still pinkish but easy to cover with my usual foundation. Very positive experience. Wish everyone have it done in the right clinic by professional.

Lindakenno · 21/03/2019 01:49

Had Plexr 3 days ago was told not to put anything on my face. I notice people are using a foundation cream to aid healing time and cover the marks any suggesting what I can buy and use.

Max20123 · 31/03/2019 07:09

I would love some advice on hyperpigmentation. I’m 4 weeks post treatment and look like I’ve been punched in one eye. I’ve made sure to use factor 50 under my eyes and have worn sunglasses most of the time. I do a lot of driving and it’s the eye nearest to the window - so I’m not sure if the sun has caught it. I look terrible and so scared I’m stuck like this. This treatment has given me more wrinkles and left me with two distinctive brown patches under my eyes. Any advice would be appreciated xx

Hi
I had Plexr or otherwise known as Plasma BT a week ago today, on upper and lower lids.

The treatment wasn't too painful but straight after I had a dreadful burning for 2 hours, after this, the area was just tender for around 4 days although the very next morning the swelling was horrific, my whole face ballooned.
The swelling finally went down on day 5 and all the scabs had dropped off late last night.
I woke up this morning with amazing results, my under eyes are much smoother, although the deep lines I had have not gone completely, they are remarkably softer but the best part for me was

  1. I didn't have to hold my eyebrow up to apply my eyeshadow
  2. when I applied eyeliner, it went on in a smooth line and not all jaggeder due to my lids now being a lot firmer
  3. I can now do corner flicks with my eyeliner, Last week if I attempted a corner flick, the heaviness of my upper lids just made them more like corner flops!
My skin will continue to tighten over the next 5 weeks. I made a video diary if anyone wants to see it but I did look horrific but now I love my eyes
Max20123 · 15/04/2019 15:40

Just be careful. I thought the same but 5 weeks in discolouration appeared. I followed all the aftercare advice. I think this treatments success depends on skin type and the therapist doing it.

edukate · 19/04/2019 13:56

Max20123 you are 100% right, im 1 year post treatment, pitting and discolouration persist and im taking the company to court, plus will probably need a lid lift to reduce the appearance and to do the job the fibroplast falsely promised. Please avoid this treatment at all costs, its one of the worst things i ever did and will regret it for a very long time!

Moonbaby321 · 21/04/2019 13:48

@Donnaovenstone I would like to see your video please

Robbie6279 · 25/04/2019 11:21

I had my eyes done two weeks ago and my skin is burnt and I have been left with golf ball indentations all under my eyes. I'm devastated as I get married in September. Can anyone please help me and advise how I can get rid of these indentations as I cant wear make up as it shows them up?

Max20123 · 25/04/2019 11:35

You poor thing. I have the same and hyperpigmentation. I’ve been advised to put vitamin c serum on the area. And also take these supplements to help healing. X

Max20123 · 25/04/2019 11:36

Is it easy to take the company to court. The clinic I went to are ignoring my emails x

princessTiasmum · 25/04/2019 18:38

Max20123 go and see a medical negligence solicitor, they will advise you and will want details and photographs
After that they will do all the work and just update you as to what is happening and of course they will contct the company and ask for their response etc
It took about 2 years for me to get compensation, but in the end i got £10,000.it helped my case too as there were a lot of other people with complaints about this surgeon,he was struck off too
Mine was a blepheroplasty

Plexr aka plasma pen if in the right hands is an amazing procedure. It has been used in Italy and Greece for years and now it is becoming more mainstream. The new plasma pens like Plamere Fibroblast plasma are a fantastic tool in the right hands. In the past teqs tended to use them on the highest settings that could lead to issues. The actual needle should never touch your skin and that is the skill of your practitioner, working just above it to form the arc which is the plasma blast and 4th state of matter that causes the skin sublimation (shrinkage in laymen terms). For eyes it is best to use it on a lower setting and the results are fantastic. if you are numbed correctly there is no pain (So not sure about what was posted lower down)The rest is down to aftercare, you must stay out of the sun and for the first few days there is swelling on the eye area and carbon crusts you must not pick these and allow them to fall off by themselves, nor must you wet them if you can avoid it, I use detol and silver water to keep the area clean for the first 5 days
I pat not rub until the scabs fall off .Eyes tend to be healed and any redness gone in 10 to 14 days for the majority of people, neck stomach arms face extra can take a little longer but most find the redness gone in a month. You can cover this with makeup after the scabs have fallen and of course you must always wear sun screen to prevent hyper pigmentation. Do your research and find someone that has knowledge as you would with any procedure you have done.In my personal opinion this is the wave of the future and is well worth having done.

LadyTia · 25/06/2019 10:09

Use silicon gel or scar patches sleep in them at night (if using the patches invest in a sleep mask preferably silk and put it over the patches, stops them falling when you move at night) Another product that may help is Nuobisong. Looking at your skin you look to be skin type 3 or 4 and this can take a lot longer for the redness to go and most will not work on this skin type, due to hyper pigmentation. Skin type 1 and 2 normally has very good results 3 more of a risk and 4 I would not touch. Hope this helps

Ladyone · 03/08/2019 00:15

Do not have this treatment done went to vivo clinic in London and they ruined my under eyes originally wanted upper only... As under eyes were ok..... when a problem arises vivo will turn it back to customer.... I left review on trust pilot but vivo have tried to take off my honest feedback.... also read Lisa shaw’s account in the daily mirror on 4/06/19....

Max20123 · 03/08/2019 09:34

My eyes are not only brown underneath, I now have deep set wrinkles that I never had before - heartbreaking.

I only had a few fine lines before. Scans fell off and deep set wrinkles appeared- never went. I’m trying red light therapy to help.

TDogsInHats · 04/09/2019 18:37

I wondered if Plamere is the same as Plexr? Does anyone know please.
It's been an eye opener (no pun intended) reading these horrific accounts.
