My bags are really bad and I've been reading about 'plexr' a new, non invasive, soft surgery. Does anybody know anything it or had it done?

It has been very interesting reading all your threads. I am finally taking the plunge after doing a lot of research and am booked in to have Plexr procedure on my upper and lower eyelids next Tuesday 28th March. I am quite nervous and excited at the same time as to what the results will be. It seems that there has been a mixed amount of results and I'm hoping mine will be positive.

lwaite · 01/04/2017 22:15

snowcat11 how did it go? im thinking of booking for my upper lids.
thanks :)

snowcat11 · 02/04/2017 11:24

Hi lwaite I'm pleased to say that I am really pleased and don't regret having it done. Today is day five after the treatment and I am healing very well. Still a few scabby bits but overall mostly new pink tighter skin. Already family and a couple of friends that have called in can see a big difference and it's still early days but I feel I will have amazing results as the skin continues to heal and tighten, as after only five days there is still some slight swelling.
The procedure was as described by others on this thread. My Dr said she would do as intensive a treatment first time as she could, this is probably because towards the end she said that was enough this time, as I started to get a little swelling which is to be expected as the eye is a delicate area. She did a great job and I feel that the £500. I paid was worth it. I had both upper and lower eye lids done. She also went down to the base of the eye socket near the top of my cheek as I had some agey looking small fatty lumps in the eye socket and they look clear now too. Recovery time is good with no pain.
I will be going back in a couple of months to have it done again. She said when it's healed and settled she will be able to see what needs lifting more for a more open look to my eyes. I understood that it would take two treatments to get the best results I wanted and so far I am not disappointed just wish now I'd been braver before because it really was not that bad, can't be if I'll do it again Smile

I so wish I had read this before having this treatment. I had plexr 13th march. Upper and lower the treatment was that painful I nearly jumped off the bed. I went to Harley st to have it done, I have been in doors ever since. I have pigmentation and swelling still, I know I am going to be scared as well. What the doctor should have said in my case was you are not suitable as you have more fat than skin as this only shrinks the skin. I am now waiting for a appointment with a plastic surgeon to see
If he can do anything. I feel he has over done the procedure as the skin is stretched and thin, I just hope some sort of upper face lift will take away the thin skin. I also have a little pressure on my left side which I feel is the result of the shrunken skin pressing the fat on to my eye.
I am a 55 year old woman who look quite good before this, I have been thinking for years to have a little lift but was a bit frightened of surgery, I would have surgery tomorrow to correct these eyes now.
Don't do it.

Grumpygirl1 · 29/04/2017 01:53

Hi memet 811
I had plexr on the 13 march this year.
I had the red marks that have now turned into pigmentation which
I now have to find a dermatologist to sort it out also I can see no difference. I also have very crappy skin around my eyes now.
I do hope yours don't turn out like mine

Hails74 · 05/05/2017 19:48

Could I ask any ladies who had plexr have you been left with any scarring after one treatment did you have indents where the dots were and if so have the filled in and how long did it take

snowcat11 · 05/05/2017 20:52

Had mine done 28th March and I still have quite a lot of pigmentation but it's starting to fade. The lift is much better though.

Hails74 · 05/05/2017 21:12

Do you have any indentation marks please

Hails74 · 05/05/2017 21:27

Sorry no didn't mean to report it that was an error x

Grumpygirl1 · 06/05/2017 06:12

Is anyone that had a great experience with plexr willing to put pictures of there before and after photos up. I had a horrendous experience.
I will be putting my before during and results pictures up next week then everyone can make up there minds if they would proceed. I think not.

Nikinoo71 · 11/05/2017 13:53

Grumpygirl1 · 16/05/2017 05:24

Well I had it done at drswclinics and am now seeing private dermatologist and eye specialist to get treatment. They were not very helpful when I was out of my mind with worry and told me not to phone every day. God knows what was done I have scaring and spots on the inside of my eyelid. The skin is to delicate for such a harsh procedure.

Jmangel · 16/05/2017 05:49

I've not had Plexr but have had 3 out of 6 treatment course of radiofrequency skin tightening on whole face including eyes and my bags are reduced by 75% I would estimate - really fab results plus my jawline and cheeks are tighter and lifted.
The treatment isn't comfortable - painful at times but there is no downtime. My salon uses a Lynton Promax machine but there are several on the market.
Just wanted to give anyone with eye bags a heads up as this Plexr treatment seems to not be without risk.
I had been at end of my tether with my under eye bags and had been considering blepharoplasty- I wasn't a candidate for TT fillers as mine were proper bags not hollows iyswim.

Nikinoo71 · 16/05/2017 20:30

Im all paid up . Just have to hope it works as cant get refund . Will post pics up x

Grumpygirl1 · 17/05/2017 04:53

No amount of money is worth this, I know have to see an neurologist
As my skin has been damaged. If anyone know if this can be reversed
Please get in touch.

Nikinoo71 · 05/06/2017 18:06

Tinkerbe11s · 01/08/2017 09:13

Hi ladies
Did any of you apply cream after treatment?

lynz76 · 08/08/2017 19:52

Hi Hails74. Did your indentation marks heal over or improve? I had plexr very recently and have been scab free for 6 days now but also have indention marks on the remaining upper hood, like a 'golf ball' effect, which looks worse and more 'aging' then prior to treatment. Interested to hear how yours are as would be devastated if this doesn't repair itself at all. :-)

lynz76 · 08/08/2017 20:30

Tinkerbe11 was told to keep as dry as poss and sunblock only in the area after the scabs fall off. X

Rara6781 · 09/08/2017 22:06

I had this done as a favour to a tutor demonstrating this to new students. The tutor uses this in her salon and I frequently have treatments such as hair removal and agrees to thus even though I didn't need it as such.

Its been over two months and I have scars, thank god I have a fringe. I had it on my forehead around frown lines, side of my eyes, eyelid and also on the sides of my mouth. Hope you can see the pics, still have small dots and now using lavendar oil to try and deal with scarring. I was never self conscious but I am now :-(

I am now having to wear foundation daily, and other than IPL hair removal I don't have beauty treatments or wear a lot of makeup. I don't know if you can see the indentations around my mouth below? I have just got out of thr bath and have no make up on but please think carefully.

Hello, I've had Plexr a fortnight ago and can say the only plus side I can see is that your so relieved you didn't get sepsis due to the third degree burn it leaves all over the treated area, are not disfigured and can finally leave the house, you completely forget that you've spent a fortune and the results are minuscule. Once the thick scabs have gone the area remains reddish pink, it's quite noticeable and is as high maintenance in a different way. I don't normally wear foundation but have to wear a full face at the moment to blend down from my undereye which is still quite red and is hard to keep finally healed as I have to spend time outdoors in the wind and my eyes always water, even in glasses. Ive invested in a pot of vasaline which is going to look very attractive under my eyes! I think I would need to stay in the house for another week to sort it out fully. I went to a reputable clinic but their literature and dialogue were actively misleading, describing the after effects as tiny crust which just fall off. This is not the case. I nearly went to A and E twice. On day 2 thick scabs form and seem to just slide off due to the makeup you need to use on them, leaving unhealed exposed wounds. Even when I blotted the makeup to the minimum they still came off way too early. It was one of the most frightening experiences. I'm feeling much more optimistic about the outcome now, mainly that it hasn't ruined my undereye, but it is still high maintenance and needs camouflage. The results are so minimal and there are so many different truly non invasive treatments which are very effective I would only consider having this done if your problem is way beyond any other treatment. The leaflet at my clinic said it has no risks but I have read a lot about this treatment since having it and have rarely heard good feedback. The Plexr machine is apparently very costly and from my own personal experience the after effects were deliberately omitted as I'm sure the word 'burn' would put people off. If anyone still wants to give it a try I would ensure you know how much time you'll need off work and be fully prepared for how unpleasant it is as I was totally naive and it was quite an ordeal.

Rara6781 · 25/09/2017 22:02

I completely agree. Effectively they are burning your skin.

It's coming up to 5 months now and you can still see the indentations in between my eyes and the ones be my mouth.

I did find carrot seed oil mixed with coconut oil helped the scarring. 100% do not go through with this.

I would also just like to add, I had ultherapy at the same time as the Plexr and although the results are really noticeable and it apparently keeps on improving over the next 4 - 6 months, I have had mild after effects, mainly being that my chin and neck are having mini hot flushes which makes me feel abit anxious, though I assume it's due to the healing process and extra circulation. It has been my first experience of aesthetics and the glossy leaflets and smiles lull you into thinking it's as low level as getting your nails done but I doubt many things which alter nature come without some sort of after effect, temporary convalescence or risk. I would say do plenty of research on what you are considering, look at plenty of reviews, choose someone suitably qualified and ask questions about any after effects. I didn't do any of this, I just read the clinics own glossy sales leaflets but was thank fully lucky and realise now how naive I was.

Mommatron · 25/09/2017 23:12

Hi Rara6781, sorry to hear your story. I've used Clarins healing booster on other scars and that seems to have helped, they say it's for post surgery. Hope your okay x
