My bags are really bad and I've been reading about 'plexr' a new, non invasive, soft surgery. Does anybody know anything it or had it done?

@angiebei i wouldt go back in a heartbeat due to the pink colour, but the doc treated al small area the first time, and it left me seeing a big difference between the plexr treated area and the non treaded area wich left a "ridge" between and it looked odd.
Thats why he touched up with a small amount of plexr spots to smooth the ridge out and it worked.

About the sudocream; its not oil. What you said about the heat and the oil is correct, but they mean Bio oil and other kinds of oily fluids.
I found out you have to put the sudocream nightly during the healingprocess. I must admit, ive tried everything from scarcreams siliconecreams but nothing improved.
But with the sudocream i notice difference daily and after a week i couldnt barely see the identations. But thats on the 5 weeks old spots wich had visible marks.
The colour on the 10 weeks spot improved. But still it is very sensitive and with cold water or heat it still turns red.

RosaKlein · 19/01/2018 09:00

About the sudocream: its antibacterial and has zinc in it. Zinc is very important for the skin to heal, you can look on the internet to learn more about it.
This has been one hell of a journey for me ten weeks now.

AngieBei · 19/01/2018 11:54

The skin specialist I saw said all creams can have an oil base and that as sudocrem can also be too heavy it wouldn’t let the skin breathe but I think we all know not to apply that thick a layer and I’ve always found it soothing on sunburn, burns etc and this should be no different. My treatment was just over 7 weeks ago and i have one area where the indentations are still bad but can still see the rest in a close up mirror so I’m going to take your advice and start using it tonight. I too have a small line that looks odd now they treated next to it but I can’t face going back. If I can get the discolouration to go over time and am confident it’s healed enough I may change my mind and go somewhere else just for that 1cm but right now I would have to be drugged and tied down! Like you as soon as I wash my face or get heat near it the treated areas get red and a bit sore. Fed up of being told it’s normal! What they mean is it’s normal for our skin but we wouldn’t have had the treatment had we known!!!!! I hope at the 10 week mark I’ve seen some improvement like you!

RosaKlein · 19/01/2018 15:29

@angiebei do you have the brown discoloration? Or also pink/red?
I used the sudocrem for a week now and today my skin looks normal, i don't have red or pink, maybe very light pink but it is not noticable with makeup on.. so whatever it is, im gettin better daily.
I hope the colour will be fine than im thrilled with the lift, because that part is the good part but Lord.. the recovery and being lost in whatever to do or not to do..

Dont put a thick layer sudocrem, just as much to notice the white haze and only during the night. Dont give up it will get better with the identations. I tried everything!! And mine were really bad couldnt cover it with anything, had to put layers of camouflage in the holes to cover up

AngieBei · 19/01/2018 18:40

Under my eyes is a mix of brown and pink/red. Above my left eye it’s mostly red lines of dots. The right eye has healed really well on the outer parts and is barely noticeable but the intensive treatment on the upper lid and around it has gone a darker solid brown. So I have a mix! I’ve come home and applied a thin layer of sudocrem so will see how it goes. It may still irritate the skin under the eyes - it feels a bit itchy but I’ll see how it goes. Yes this lack of support from the professionals in what or what not to do is frustrating. I’m really glad I found this site otherwise I’d feel a lot lower!

RosaKlein · 19/01/2018 22:10

@Angiebei: the red/pink wont last forever, i cant believe it. I think we were not informed right before the procedure. They say "you might have a litlle redness it wont last longer than 3 weeks" its not the truth. Also they dont give you right aftercare instructions. It makes people were the procedure wont turn out right immediatly like us, scared as hell.
You need to treat the place like a scar. All scars will heal overtime.
The brown may turn normal and if not: there are so many treatments to fade hyperpigmentation. Dont worry it wont last forever. Dont expect miracles from the sudocrem, but improvement. Things will get better and we will be fine, but it is hard and i was very depressed the last weekes, didnt wanted to go out. Afraid that people would see something and than would ask what did you do?! Why on earth did you do that?!

Stay strong and we need to uodate this post for other insecure patients after Plexr. Hope things turn out fine

lynz76 · 19/01/2018 22:26

Hi ladies, I had my second session of plexr on 29/11 and am over the moon with results. After my first post in August re indentation marks, was glad to report they did fade to nothing bar slight pinkness after a hot shower. What i did learn from my first session was the recovery time (scabs to fall off) is more like 7-10 days as opposed to 5-7. Don't put anything on them cream/lubricant wise and don't pick them or do anything to encourage them to fall of before they are ready .. they will scar! After wearing eyestrips for years to hide my hereditary saggy hoods, this procedure has worked brilliantly for me. I had my plexr done at a reputable skin clinic in Staffordshire and can highly reccomed them if anyone local is thinking of having this done ... and no, I don't work there! .. I'm an estate agent! 😊 X

AngieBei · 19/01/2018 22:37

Great you had a successful treatment. I think we all had success at the scab stage but the problems occurred after that. Did you have any discolouration round the the indentation marks or just coloured rows of dots? And at what point could you say the indentations had gone along with any permanent red/pink/brown? I think we’re all trying to work out how long things will last before improving.

lynz76 · 19/01/2018 23:55

Hi Angie, I had pink discoloration (still have) I think this is down to skin type, I'm very fair. After the first session I did panic at the indents and popped a post on in desperation as had visions of looking like a golf ball forever!.. it was a couple of month's at least before i was happy they had significantly evened out and the colour had faded. My first session was end of July and my second end of Nov. I've still got mild indents now and a little pinkness, I'm not concerned at all as it's noticeable improving. I'l pop a pic on as I've just removed my make up... let me know how yrs is in comparison? X

lynz76 · 20/01/2018 00:00

3 days after plexr (29/11) and now!

lynz76 · 20/01/2018 00:04

Typo *5 days after..not 3..Would still be swollen then!

AngieBei · 20/01/2018 08:43

I had upper and lower eyes done too. My upper eyes are a bit worse than yours but the lower are very slow to heal and still quite discoloured so worse. Covering up the upper eyes is easy as most people have a degree of discolouration there but the under eyes is a nightmare. Makes me look very tired at best- I could live with the recovery on the upper eyes but the rest is in issue as there’s really no improvement. Did you have the same area done in July as in November? What did it look like by the time you went back in November which about 4 months after? You can see a photo I posted earlier in the thread. That’s quite recent. Another poster suggested using sudocrem to speed things up so I had a go last night but my eyes look darker and feel a little sore today so I don’t think it suits me! Sad!!!! Back to basics sigh!

lynz76 · 20/01/2018 10:57

In July I had the whole of the upper eye area done, right up to my brow for even lift, this was really effective. My hoods were very bad prior and the Dr sad I may need a second session to grab the rest of the fold on the eye crease, which is exactly what we did in November... and can he get my crows feet in too! By the time I decided to book in again, the pinkness and indents had all gone, only really visible after hot shower and straight after it removed my eye make up. I did discuss my lower eyes as I have bad crepey hollows but he said maybe tear trough filler or co2 laser may be a better option for this area, I took his advice and had the filler which is great and has lifted and pulled out the wrinkles. I'm glad I did but sorry to hear that area we hasn't gone we'll for you, I little trick I also use under my eyes is micro needling. I'm 41 and I have derma roller or pen sessions every 6 weeks and my skin, also with a bit of vit c and retinol serum is flawless (so they tell me!), I also have a couple of my own dermastamps which is basically a manual dermapen and only cost a couple of quid. I have a 0.5 which can be used around the eyes, this is great and has improved my skin under the eyes loads prior to the filler. Takes a bit of getting used to as it literally sticking pins in ur face but this does actually work! X

AngieBei · 20/01/2018 13:44

I had a great skincare routine before this including retinol, Vit c, own derma roller, HA, BHA and AHA and everyone said my skin was amazing. Of course I can’t use any of that round my eyes now as they are too irritated so the little lines I’d got rid of are coming back. Hopefully once I’ve got under the eyes healed in a few weeks I can start again. I didn’t really need the treatment and was persuaded to have it so I’m frustrated I now have more issues than just the few fine lines and minor hooding over one eye I had. Still I’m feeling more optimistic from the reviews on here including yours that by about the 4 months stage all should be ok. I’m still 7 weeks and 2 days and struggling with irritation and days when I think everything’s improving and others when it looks worse. Glad you’ve seen a good improvement!

RosaKlein · 20/01/2018 14:24

@angiebei did you went to a regular doc? Maybe you have some kind of infection? My skin is only pink but not sensitive or irritated at all.
Maybe you can try some kind of anti histamin to see if you have some kind of allergy around the eyes
Sorry the sudocrem did nothing for you. It works magicaly for me i hoped the same for you :(

AngieBei · 20/01/2018 15:20

No it was a salon offering the same treatment however I’ve seen 2 docs since and they say my reaction is typical of my skin type. Apparently if you are fair skinned you’ll go pink/red, but if darker skinned you’ll have a brown discolouration like mine. And the darker brown lasts longer as it’s pigmented. Sudocrem I think would work really well on other skin types but I have greasy skin too so it gets easily irritated by heavy products and wearing a high factor sunscreen every day is already an issue for it! Also under my eye there is more heat due to creasing my eye so products irritate more easily. I’ll be trying again when my eyes feel more settled as I do feel it’s a great healing product.

Hi ladies
Im a skin specialist with many years experience in laser treatments. I would say the person doing the treatments makes a huge difference and this is hard to research.
A very good knowledge of how skin responds to this kind of treatment is paramount, and you would think all practicioners have this, but thats not always the case.
I woukd say ALWAYS research the doctor doing the treatment, not just the treatment itself, ask for testimonials, to meet people who have been treated and look at the doctors experience with this type of machine.
I had a similar treatment last year called the Madonna lift with a fractional CO2 laser and had a fantastic result. Now, the skin does go brown, scab, swells and is sore. 10 days recovery, but honestly, how you look after the skin after treatment makes a major difference! I would say put as little on it as possible, just E45. You want the skin to be allowed to heal itself at its own pace. The more ingredients it has to deal with the more chance of irritation and reaction. Be patient. Pat the skin gently, leave it and let it heal. Skin is great at healing itself if it is left to do so.
Im going to have a second teatment later this year.
A very well respected friend if mine is offering the Plexr treament at her clinic in Sheffield, she has decades of knowledge and is very reputable if any of you still want to go for this treatment. My treatment gave me a very good result too.
As for skin creams, in my personal experience there have only been a few over the years that i would say are great. (And ive used a lot) Environ (AVST range) i would recommend as one of the best and have used this myself for many years and have had a lot of clinic experience with it.
Recently ive discovered Rocasea Care, Sea Buckthorn night cream to provide amazing healing overnight, especially for my sensitive, acne prone skin.
I would not recommend applying either of these creams to newly laser treated skin though, the skin must be left to heal on its own. I would wait at least 3 weeks, then mix a little with E45 for 1 week first to judge reaction. The first rule is, if it stings or causes inflammation, your body is telling you no.
I hope this may help you ladies. Research, treat gently. Good luck.
H

This is the scary stuff happening now. This popped up in Facebook today and when you look into some of the photos you know it’s a Plexr copy like the one I had. No information about the treatment or warnings. I doubt these people will have the medical training needed to offer this type of treatment and it’s a lottery if it goes ok!

Plexr, fibroblast all the same thing. You don’t see any results of the finished look do you? Just the lift straight after when done, which soon results into very minimal results, wonder why!? I have recently been for a consultation for eye surgery now after having Plexr few years back, which has left me with crepey skin on my eyes. During the consultation the surgeon grimaced when I said I had Plexr and said he is seeing many many patients through his door due to the damage this procedure does. He had said its speeds aging of the eye area up so fast, he even commented my eyes have aged to what one would expect a 55 plus year old to have. The skin is now thin and is losing its elasticity, I have always wore sun cream after the Plexr and been careful not to aggravate the area too much when washing.

I have included a picture of my upper eye and the damage the Plexr has done, I have uneven skin surface now and crepey eyes, all at 35!

Just had this treatment done 7 days ago....few answers if you looking at getting it done.

Is it painful......yep lol. Had numbing cream on and most of it pretty painless but few few hurt like hell. Bit uncomfortable and swollen after but not horrendous.

Healing seemed to be slow process then woke up totally and literally all healed. Does swell few first days...wasnt sore but looked pretty bad. Antihistamines helped alot with swelling.

To be honest now scabs have come off can't really see much difference...so bit disappointed. Had before and after pics done and straight after was really impressed, but now put that down to the swelling.

Would I have it again....no. Alot of effort and expense for minimal results. Was told that the wrinkles i had were not very deep so only one treatment would be needed........but doesn't actually look any different 😐😐😐

AngieBei · 14/02/2018 13:20

You were lucky to get away without any lasting damage! I don’t think many of us saw an improvement afterwards. As I’m still in the recovery stage it’s hard to know if things will get worse but certainly the lines under the eyes are the same as is the minor hooding I had. My neck lines are worse if anything! I was also told I had great skin and minimal lines so one treatment would be all I’d need although they then said a top up at 8 weeks would help improve things more. No way!!!!!

Bella10000 · 14/02/2018 13:47

Totally agree certainly won't be having a 'top up...think I am a lucky one reading these posts.. skin just looks normal just softer to touch but no 'amazing' results as promised. I did have high expectations but that was just down to what I was told by the clinic....seems like all of a bit of money making scam now x

AngieBei · 14/02/2018 14:30

I have seen lots of great experiences online and I believe this is down to skin type and the skill of the person doing the treatment. But if you’ve never had this type of treatment before you don’t know how your skin will react so I really don’t know how results can be predicted. In my case they could have predicted discolouration etc but also said I should have had great results and have had nothing! In reality we’ve paid money to be burned around our eyes by someone we’ve never met before! I wonder where my head was............

Bella10000 · 14/02/2018 14:46

Yeah pretty bad when u put it like that...lol...think I will just go and give my head a wobble! X

Jodieann82 · 15/02/2018 23:01

So sorry. I’ve only just seen this. The only aftercare advice I was given was to keep the area dry. I’m still suffering . Now with pigmentation also 😩😩 . Worst thing I’ve ever done 😢
