I love looking at engagement rings. Does anyone want to share photos? It's not a boasting thread,my ring wasn't particularly expensive. Just for fun.

Mines a pink sapphire with little diamonds either side.

I was surprised that DH picked such a perfect one all by himself

What beautiful rings! I love rings and always notice them on other people. If I knew how to add a photo I would post a pic.....,mine is a simple solitaire (which I swore blind I'd never have until we went ring shopping) and although it's not very big, it's an excellent quality one and I love it when the sunlight hits it.

I have a plain gold wedding ring but the jeweller did suggest having diamonds set in it instead of an eternity ring as I don't think my fingers are long enough to wear three rings comfortably. And even though I'm a Summer, all my rings are yellow gold as white gold/platinum just doesn't look right on my hands!

This is mine - DH chose the diamond and we got the ring designed together. I have long fat fingers so he chose a lovely oval diamond to complement them which was thoughtful. Have plain platinum wedding ring. Slightly tight still after having DS a year ago tho!

I want an eternity ring. I've given dh an heir what more must I do?

My ring is square diamond flanked by two triangles on platinum. I fell in love with it at first sight, especially the claw setting I thought it very unusual!
There were 3 different sizes, I got the small but it's big enough for me....just wish my fingers hadn't turned into sausages after pregnancy!!

What a lovely thread! Mine is 13 years old (been married 12). Another Hatton Garden one. DH very sensibly proposed with a much cheaper silver ring, and we then went a couple of weeks later to choose this ring together.

It's really quite similar to my mum's and my MIL's - three diamonds, yellow gold. I love it!

DH and I both pulled a sicky after he proposed to go and choose an engagement ring together. Got it in a swanky jewellers in Bath. The white gold needs re-plating after six years. Hoping for an eternity ring after popping out two DC's

I went for an eternity stle ring rather than solitaire.

Here is mine, the 3 stone ring bought a long long time ago. The eternity ring is after 30 years married (yes really!)

The single stone ring on my little finger has a poignant story attached to it. The diamond was given to my GM by someone who died in the war. She had it mounted and when she died it was found in her possessions left for me. It has such clarity, a beautiful diamond and is 24ct gold. I was taken aback as I was the youngest of 5. We were close though

This is mine. 18ct white gold. The diamond is 2.5carat. Dh chose it. All by himself. It's perfect. And I love it. initially I was really self conscious about it but not any more very sparkly

Here's my 1930s platinum and white gold ring. I'm picking up my wedding ring on Sat and I'm very excited - it's a grain set infinity twist made to my spec after a long search for a ring that would go with this one! Wedding in just under 4 months!

Aquamarine, diamonds and platinum. Designed it myself. Had great fun at the jewellers colouring in diamonds with a highlighter to decide what colour stone to go with!

Here's mine, rose gold band with an amethyst centre stone and diamond halo. I picked it and told DP I loved it and he went and bought it and hid it from me for 5 months before he proposed. I was gutted when I walked past the jewellers a few weeks later and saw it had been sold.

I love looking at rings. I could spend all day doing this! My favourites are JessicaRuby's and Boosiehs. Lovely!

I designed my own engagement ring and settled on something very conventional in the end, despite starting out with wild ideas with sapphires and swirls.

I love vintage Edwardian designs and I would love to have a super sparkly cushion cut diamond but we couldn't afford it. My ring has a super sparkly Hearts & Arrows round diamond set in yellow gold with channel-set diamond shoulders. I bought the diamond from America and the ring was made by Timothy Roe Jewellers in Chichester. And I love it!!

I got my eternity ring after giving birth to a 9lb baby! I have since given birth to an 11lb baby so maybe he should have hung on and given it to me after our second child!
