I love looking at engagement rings. Does anyone want to share photos? It's not a boasting thread,my ring wasn't particularly expensive. Just for fun.

Mines a pink sapphire with little diamonds either side.

Still love it nearly 13 years on

Apologies for the dodgy photo, the lighting is terrible. My engagement ring is a marquis diamond set in white gold, we bought it in Dubai, I absolutely adore it although getting a wedding and latterly an eternity ring to sit with it was an absolute bitch.

This is my first and my current engagement ring (yes, yes, I may have put on a little weight in the last 26 years, nice of you to notice).
The first was from Argos, we were rather hard up at the time.
I have no idea where the second is from.

Here's mine. Not expensive but I wouldn't change it.

I love mine

My engagement ring, wedding ring and eternity ring with pink sapphires I got from DH after DD was born.

Mine. The trilogy of diamonds was in my grandmother's engagement ring; she died about a week before we got engaged and we had them re-set for my ring.

It's interesting how many people have eternity rings.

I always thought they were an advertising invention (like spending however many months salary) caused by cheap(er) small Russian diamonds flooding the market, but my great grandmother had an eternity ring, so they are a lot older than I thought - I really like how they look.

No eternity ring yet. Will have to work on that one

Love mine I got the eternity ring first, I thought it meant he didn't want to get married and was devastated turned out he was just trying to get me ring shopping he chose it and it means the world to me.

Here's mine, 18 years old now. I still love it.

I got my grandmother's engagement ring, my sister got her eternity ring - which is well over 50 years old now.

I got my eternity ring last Christmas from DH. I chose it and I love it.

And this was my nans, which I adore.

I've had the wedding ring 19. I was, apparently, going to get an eternity ring when DC1 was born. He was 14 last week...

purple it was interesting that my Mum, my sil and me were all given our eternity rings around the same Christmas!

We had been married 45 years, 10 years and 5 years respectively so I suspect it is 'expected' earlier in a relationship than it perhaps used to be?

Mines is a pretty common solitaire but it was exactly what I wanted. I love how sparky my rings are when the light hits them.
