I love looking at engagement rings. Does anyone want to share photos? It's not a boasting thread,my ring wasn't particularly expensive. Just for fun.

Mines a pink sapphire with little diamonds either side.

Mine is an oval amethyst surrounded by diamonds! I love it, but choosing a wedding ring was a nightmare

Not an engagement ring but I love stones - my aquamarine and diamond ring which I designed and got made for me.

I saw this beauty in the jewellery shop window and it was love at first sight...but the assistant loftily told me there was no point me trying it on as 'it'll be far too small, it's only for display'.

I smiled, and slipped it easily on to my finger (have very thin fingers and wrists)...

It's a brilliant cut in a square, platinum setting. It's only 0.5 carat, but it is 'of the first water' so has almost perfect clarity. Wedding ring is also platinum.

I think they're timeless and will never date.

Mine is an emerald daisy with tiny diamond. It was cheap but I love it.

Here's mine and my eternity ring for tenth wedding anniversary. Hands looking a bit more wrinkly than when first got it!

Here's mine - Art Deco ring in white gold, and I absolutely adore it. Never thought I'd end up with a 'diamond ring' so to speak but now I can't imagine having chosen anything else. Bought from a local antique jewelers. Had to get the wedding band made for it, and to be honest I bloody hated it for a long time, and was cross with myself because it wasn't what I wanted and not what we'd agreed but I lacked the courage to tell the jeweler that. Now I don't mind so much!

These are mine:
Wedding ring was my great nans (2mm 9ct yellow gold).
Eternity ring was my nans (9ct yellow gold with 11 diamonds).
Engagement ring was my mums (9vt yellow gold solitaire).
I already wore my nans eternity ring on my right hand, as she wanted it passed onto me when she died, so when I was old enough to have it, it was given to me. When I got married, I put it on my left hand, as I was pregnant, so first child and all that. Plus I think the three rings look better together than just two.
My mum gave me the engagement ring to pass on to my then boyfriend to give to me when he proposed.
The wedding ring was given to me during the engagement, so I could get it cleaned and resized to fit me.
I love that I have family heirloom rings, they mean so much more than any new rings ever could.
My husband has a white gold ring he had had for years but never worn, so he was more than happy to have that as his wedding ring.
We had a very short engagement (three months), and a baby on the way, so it made perfect sense to use the rings, it saved a lot of money, and they mean more to us both.

Here's mine, engagement ring 12 years old and wedding band 10 years old. Very simple as had never been a jewellery wearer till then!

I love this thread and have happily wasted hours reading 16 pages.

My engagement ring is 14 years old white gold with1/3 ct diamond small but looks perfect on my hand. Wedding band is 12 years old white gold with inset diamonds as I thought I'd never get an eternity ring so would combine the two then the eternity ring is 6 years old (a 30th bday pressie) of emeralds and diamonds. Love them but really want an art deco ring so will have look at one for my right hand.

Hated mine originally as it wasn't anything like I'd always wanted. However now absolutely love it! White gold and yellow gold with single diamond.

This is mine - it's a tension set princess cut diamond, brushed yellow gold with polished gold bits by the diamond.I saw it in a local jewellers (on sale), tried it on and he bought it. I have 2 'wedding' bands as it looked better with 2.
Xmas just gone, dh commissioned earrings by the same jeweller, which he designed - small yellow gold squares, half brushed, half polished gold. He did good!

I have a trilogy diamond ring and diamond set eternity ring which I wear on the other hand.

I love mine - even though I don't wear it as much as I used to because my fingers are a bit fat 😳 Brilliant cut solitaire with baguettes on the shoulders and wedding band is a circle of matching baguettes. Had it made in the US

Here's mine. White gold band with simple diamond for engagement ring. Then my wedding band is palladium and wraps around my engagement ring to make one. Had it handmade and I love it!
