I love looking at engagement rings. Does anyone want to share photos? It's not a boasting thread,my ring wasn't particularly expensive. Just for fun.

Mines a pink sapphire with little diamonds either side.

Thank you Snowflake I admit I only wear it for special occasions as I'm not a 'jewellery person' - I mean, I LOVE jewellery, but For day to day wear I tend to stick to just the skinny wedding band X

The band was my mums

hollyisalovelyname I've just seen your post back from 01/01/2016 about our finger nails! I just cut mine with the clippers and they grow in that shape. My hands look a lot like my dads

I have never seen anybody else with that shape before.

Engaged last week - my engagement ring as of about two hours ago! Bought from an antique shop in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter

I adore mine. It is an antique that DH imported from abroad to match a description I gave him about a pearl with swirly diamonds round it.

Here's mine :) (almost) a total surprise proposal in beautiful Canada! DH is awful at keeping secrets and I knew something was up!
He chose it from somewhere and had it changed to how he wanted. I love it so much!
Wedding ring is a very thin band of diamonds that sort of sits with it.

A single square cut diamond encased in a gold 'cup' so it never needs cleaning!!!

As soon as he'd asked me, I got straight onto the De Beers website & found this one.

A few weeks later DP said we were off there so he could learn more about diamonds and try on a few styles with an idea that he'd design the ring.

Six weeks later he gave up trying and got the one I'd spotted at the very start......

0.77 carat modified cushion cut diamond with sapphires. Had it made and adore it.

Here's mine. Two gold are original, platinum upgrade added recently when we were visiting out eldest dd in Brighton and stopped at The Lanes for a poke about. 2.2 carats after 22 years of marriage. Original idea was to sandwich platinum ring inbetween the two original yellow gold, ie first pic, as the mix of metals appeals to me, however it sits better second pic.

Here's mine. It's emerald and diamond on white gold. I've only had it a week and I LOVE it.

Here's mine - platinum emerald cut diamond surrounded by 2 triangular diamonds - antique. The wedding band is actually an eternity ring with channel set diamonds. Love the mix of gold and silver - got quite a few funny looks over the years but if I ever get round to getting an eternity ring, I want it to be rose gold so it's a real mash up of metal colours.
