I love looking at engagement rings. Does anyone want to share photos? It's not a boasting thread,my ring wasn't particularly expensive. Just for fun.

Mines a pink sapphire with little diamonds either side.

Lovely thread, so much variety of rings and they all have their own story!

Mine is nicer from the side as the mount is unusual. We had it made by a local jeweller using diamonds from an old family heirloom of DHs which his mum had split between him and his DBs.

Mine. It's a big Modernist affair by Wendy Ramshaw, the stone is a garnet. So big that the wedding ring gets hidden underneath. It doubles as a knuckle-duster.

Dh chose it to propose on the first anniversary of our first snog . He chose well.

Cushion cut almost square flawless diamond 1carat set in platinum. Eternity ring usually on right hand. Love them. DH narrowed down diamonds to 3 and I went and picked. Hatton Garden jewellers who were fantastic and have used since for other purchases.

Chosen as I loved it, but if I was looking for meaning, 7 stones for the 7 years we were together before getting married.
I like wearing it without my wedding band, so sometimes switch it to my right hand (took band off for pic).

Here's mine. Platinum engagement ring from 2002, wedding ring following year. Eternity given for 40th in 2011.

A family heirloom that I was in love with from when I was a little girl. My Nan has the matching earrings that I think I will wear when we eventually get married.

I was never a "wedding person", but this was always the only ring that I'd wear as an engagement ring. It is perfectly imperfect and full of love and stories. It means a lot that the family also allowed it to be used as our engagement ring as says a lot of their opinions and thoughts for my DP!

Mine is a largish (2.6 carat) peachy beryl (the same stone as an emerald, but not officially known as an emerald) on rose gold.

I enjoy the mixture of being a good hefty size (on my sausage hands), whilst being subtle in colour so it's not too bling-o.

We've got married since this photo was taken and I have a super skinny rose gold wedding band.

Seeing some lovely rings here. Got my solitaire engagement ring when husband proposed and then got my grandmother's engagement ring a few years' ago. Have to wear them all together as they mean so much to me. Grandmother's was from the 1920s.
