Continuation of the thread where I realised I was not alone in my hoarding of all things make-up/beauty/skincare/toiletries.

Lots of lovely mumsnetters who encourage each other to use and enjoy all those lovely products, and at the same time try to reduce our spending on unnecessaries!

I have not been on this at all this week... I must get going again as I still have lots of products to get through! My matching shower gel and deoderant is almost done... have plenty more where they come from!

me again! two surprise finishings today - Yves Richer Jardins de Monde Lavendar shower gel (nice have more hoarded) and Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Insense Advanced Serum - good but contains a nasty silicone ingredient which I am trying to not use anymore so will not buy again.

Got all my products out the other day and lined them up.

Actually suprised at how much I had. Not as much as I'd thought. Only one unopened hand cream!!!

Haven't finished anything but enjoying a few 'new' things - items I forgotted I owned - a lipstick and an eyeliner pencil. And picking a 'new' palette for February - Chanel Murano, very tricky lagoon greens. I watched the Wayne Goss eye shape video and figured out how to use it: the results was terrific!

I also was shocked the other day to find out how many companies still test on animals. Basically everything I use.

Finished up an ancient Body Shop lip stick. It was a nice colour and I'm a little sad it is finished. Lots of others to use up though.

Not sure if this counts... have emptied down sink a Naobay Calming Face Toner which had clearly gone off - will not buy (was from a Glossybox) - only been open a month!

I just finished Vichy Liftacativ advanced filler - nice texture and leaves skin nice and soft

I'm close to using up a hand cream. Just need a couple more uses and it'll be gone.

Just saw that my nearly finished Dove compressed deoderant contains cyclopentasiloxane - which has heen found to cause losts of damagevincluding infertility - so that is going in the bin.

kwivk is that true? Is it only in the compressed ones?

Unfortunately this nasty ingredient is in loads of products especially hair serums and face creams as well as spray deoderants... Very upsetting but as I am TTC I need to be careful...

EMPTY - l'occitaine cherry blossom hand cream.

It smells lovely. Made hands smooth and lovely. Might rebuy but have two other hand creams to use up first.

Have just finished up an M&S Autograph Cream Shadow Stick in bronze. Absolutely loved this, have it in three other colours including the slate grey which I use as an eyeliner. I bought these after lusting over the Bobbi Brown shadow sticks, but couldn't justify the cost.....no idea how they would compare but I think as standalone products the M&S sticks are great value for money and they have great staying power. And so easy to have in my bag to do my make-up when I get into work in the morning.

But the bronze colour is my favourite.....already have another one in the stash but not going to open it until I have worked through a few other products....have several bronze/nude cream shadows on the go

Essential oil foam skin stuff
Threw out some eye drops that were open

Oh dear. I've fallen in love with Palmers Coca Butter Skin Therapy Oil.

I had a little freebie and it's just lovely. The problem is I have Elemis Frangipani and Clarins Body Tonic Oils to use up before I go for the cheapo cheapo Palmers one again!!

I finished Yves Rocher lavander roll on deo - nice pairing with shower gel. I have massive stock pile if both!

ipokebadgers i love the sound of the shadow sticks... Am itching to buy some but have enough makeup to last me until 2020!!!

I finished a stick deo from Degree. My long-time favorite, only available in the US, am using the backup now and have one more left.

Frugal can you get anymore sent to you?

Finished an aussi mega shampoo.

Moving on to tresseme red kerratin silk.

Also finished soap and glory clean girls shower gel. Love this stuff. But won't repurchase yet as have about a million others to use up.

Next on hit list - dove pomegranate shower gel. It was being saves for the gym. But I hate it. So am just going to use it everywhere.

I just used some Redken Outshine 01 anti-frizz polishing milk... Smells off... Not much left so will chuck out. I am going to replace with something new... But that does not contain nasty cyclotrasiloxane as current hoard contains this infertility inducing ingredient.

I've finished my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. It's very light, and was a little dark, so i've been mixing it with another which was a little too light. I have a couple more to use up so no replacements just yet.

I also finished a L'Occitane conditioner, which I loved, but don't need more of just yet.

Slightly OT, but we had several tubes of DC's toothpastes cluttering up the sink, we have now finished two of those. About to finish two of mine soon.

Finished off a bar of handmade soap that was a present. Opened up another one...
