I had been toying. I thought it would make me titty.
I espied a jigsaw one and tried on ready to HATE but its actually quite nice and good for whizzing to my overheated office..

i liked the dropped shoulder thing too

You know the sea salt one looks like it belongs to a droopy art teacher close to retirement

I am loving my joules poncho. Wearing it lots atm as the weather is gorgeous cold sunny and crisp. Oh how i love Autumn.

lurkingabit · 14/10/2015 11:12

Tuning in for #ponchoff

All I'm doing now is seeing ponchos. Saw a woman this very morning with a flappy knee length one on. Not the best look.

Have not succumbed this year to the annual pocho buy. Tho I'm looking at this thread. Sensible. Hmm

Derbyday · 14/10/2015 11:29

I bought the Joules poncho last month but returned it as I'm tall so it looked too short. This one arrived yesterday: m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/Esprit/Esprit-Knitted-Poncho/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5667940&istCompanyId=6f061ed0-7427-4b6c-bb90-987c0bd08468&istItemId=mwmwipppa&istBid=tztx&affid=14179&channelref=google+shopping&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=58089878546&utm_content=&utm_campaign=&cvosrc=ppc.google.58089878546&network=g&mobile=1&search=1&content=&creative=53496280341&ptid=58089878546&adposition=1o1&r=2&mk=ab&gclid=CJifwI7gwcgCFWvlwgodl-ANkg&un_jtt_application_platform=newPlp&un_jtt_redirect

I know it has a polo neck but that's what I wanted! I wore it to school but there are lots of poncho wearers at school so I didn't look weird.

Tried on the Jigsaw one but again, too short on me.

73dexter · 14/10/2015 11:30

Bloody Jigsaw is closed for a refit so I am keen for the #ponchoff now!

Derbyday · 14/10/2015 11:31

Just to add, my poncho isn't knee length on me!

73dexter · 14/10/2015 11:33

I'm not keen on cable knit as it can make you look a bit hefty.

TheGreenNinja · 14/10/2015 12:29

That asos one is almost identical to one I got in tesco a couple of years back, same style, same colour but half the price!
I'm all for the supermarket ponchos!

Racundra · 14/10/2015 13:17

Awaits ponchoff with bated breath

73dexter · 14/10/2015 13:51

I had a quick look at that Joules one and it was very acrylicy! Must give you crazy hair when you take it off!

Greengardenpixie · 14/10/2015 14:33

Actually, it feels like wool. It does have wool in it and i admit that i was really disappointed by the fact there wasnt more wool in it but its really warm and i have had lots of wraps and ponchos in the past and none have compared i have to say. It is really cosy.

BrendaandEddie · 14/10/2015 17:04

The punch off might have to be delayed until either later this evening or tomorrow. The John Lewis one has arrived and it is very nice, very soft and yes slightly longer but I haven't got time to get the jigsaw one out and compare it properly right now because of my whirlwind social life Wink

BrendaandEddie · 14/10/2015 17:05

First impressions do suggest that the John Lewis one might be slightly more malevolent beetleâ„¢

I love this thread!

I've been after one for ages. Today I bought this one Massimo Dutti

I'm tall and flat chested, so I'm hoping it won't make me too chunky.

Thanks to the poster above who mentioned shoulder bags - I tried it with my usual bag and it worked, phew!

GeorginaWorsley · 14/10/2015 20:21

It's arrived.
Jigsaw via John lewis.
Went for camel colour in the end.
But..but. .
Am undecided Sad
It's soft and cosy yes, but cannot see when I would wear it..
The neckline is a bit odd too.
It's probably a bit big on me as am only petiteGrin so maybe it's that.
If it was half the price I would keep it and see, but at almost £80 I want to love it and I don't.
Furthermore I already have a navy heavy knit one from Phase Eight a few years ago plus a cream White Company one neither of which I wear much at all...
It's going back..
I think Grin
