I like it a lot, she looks lovely, but its the sort of fringe only someone with 'people' to faff over her could achieve.

I've had that fringe! If you don't style it every day, its just a long floppy bit of hair in your eyes. Not for the harassed working mum among us (which is why I've grown mine out).

She looks exhausted poor girl. She has help but even little princesses and princes want their mums in the night and I will lay money that at least one of them (my money is on George) is a really terrible sleeper and that she's up and down like a yoyo or has him coming into her bed at all hours

Where on earth are people getting that she has hair extensions and tattooed eyeliner from? I honestly don’t think she has hair extensions, you can always tell, even with Celebs. As far as tattooed eyeliner goes, tacky as hell (and I’ve never heard of it) so again, I doubt that. It takes 10 seconds to put a bit of eyeliner on. You need to provide links to confirmation of both of these things before breezily stating she’s got both!

I don’t see much difference with her new haircut to be honest.

She is beautiful, but long hair, being thin and veneers certainly help.

She does have extensions. There was a pic of her a while ago where you could see where one was attached.

In the interests of science, I googled 'Kate Middleton hair extensions images' - and blow me, there are many pictures of them Grin

"she's not naturally thin"

I have never seen pictures of her not looking slim, so how can you tell she isn't naturally thin?

I think she is slim not astonishingly thin. I think we have lost sight of what a healthy weight should look like.

That is a scar on her head, not extensions. She has always had masses of hair if you look at much older pictures of her.

My hair is like hers when I let it grow long, and that bumpiness at the side when you pull it back is just what happens when you have a lot of thick hair. I could never ever get mine to go smooth, it used to drive me mad.

I'm sure she has used them sometimes though, being pregnant and breastfeeding does weird things to your hair.

No, not the scar photos - the ones with the extensions.

I'm clearly looking in the wrong place, I just keep getting the scar photo over and over.

all I think of her is that she is horribly thin. Really, horribly thin

Report
Bunbaker · 18/09/2015 16:42

But she isn't. She is very slim.

This is what I would class as horribly thin.

What would you consider a slim person to look like?

I think its horrible to talk about her weight tbh and "she looks like she has a touch of PND". What does that even mean?

I love her hair (would say that as its the same still as mine) and I think she look fab but then i am a big fan of hers.

Not keen on her haircut at all. The fringe looks wrong

Such double standards on here. If someone in the news was described as 'horribly fat' there'd be cries of body shaming all over the shop.

if that hairstyle was a car, it'd be termed a "cut and shut". Even if the fringe has grown out a bit and started life as a shorter, blunter fringe, it would still be wrong because of how far it extends to the sides then suddenly becomes a long block of hair.

The colour is just a bit too red toned and rinse-like; be better to go with her natural base colour then break it up with some packets of a shade lighter and a shade darker.

I don't know if her hairdresser isn't great or if The DoC totally dictates exactly what the hairdresser can't do.

Although pretty bland, her hair was better pre-marriage.

special can you not imagine what that might mean? As I said, I think she looks drawn and anxious, and I think the grin is a bit forced. I expect she would far rather be at home with her baby, like the vast majority of us are at 4 months post partum.

I am a big fan of Kate's and I think she looks lovely, I am not being critical. I just hope she is taking care of her mental health and not feeling forced back into public engagements before she is ready.

She is pretty, but not stunning, her fringe is boring and she is far too thin, horribly so.
And no i am not jealous of her at all, just telling it as it is.

She isn't that thin. Her clothes are tailored to enhance her figure. The waist on her dresses and coats are cut slightly high to show off her slimmest point. Good design and tailoring shave lb's off the body.

My DS is 10 months old. If I managed to look even fractionally as good as her I would be delighted!! As it is, I'm covered in food, have wispy bits of baby hair re growing and have to have my hair permanently tied back for fear DS will scalp me.

I think she looks incredible. She is slim, but she is tall and willowy. I bet she still looks in the mirror and finds fault like we all do. The rest of us thankfully can do so in private.

I had a baby in May and the christening in the August. When I look back at the photos, I look like a knackered sofa. I was just a slim as KM, but resembled a knackered old sofa. My post natal hair was identical to Hagrid's.

I think she looks fab. She is all about the hair and her make up and clothes make her older than her years, but she needs masses of makeup for photos and has to dress demurely. She is a plain looking woman who makes the absolute most of herself.

I can't comment on the fringe as it looks no different to me.

She looks quite a lot like her mum in some of those shots which I had not noticed before.

GrinAndTonic · 18/09/2015 21:18

She needs some colour, she just seems bland in those photos. I do think she is trying to emulate Princess Mary somewhat and that is not a bad thing. I think she is much more stylish and appropriate dresser she says dripping with envy of Princess M .
The back to work comments are funny though. Do you really think she is trying to feed a baby, do all the housework, walk the dog and deal with toddler tantrums all at once? Surely the nanny, housekeeper, butler and footmen deal with that? Wink

Report
dreadingautumn · 18/09/2015 22:42

I fully expect she's dealing with toddler tantrums and possibly still feeding the baby. Little 2 year old princes quite possibly don't realise that they are meant to be calling for the nanny and are most likely as demanding of mummy as much as any other child.
