I love the fringe!

What do you think of Kate Middleton's new hair do?

She looks the same as she always does to me. what on earth is all the fuss about?

She looks broadly the same can't understand how a minor puesdo fringe is news

I think her hair and make up ages her terrible. She looks mid 40s to me

Looks nice, but not that different. Glad the DM have got rid of the ridiculous "bangs" headline. It's a fringe FFS!!

I don't mind the 'gringe' ('grown out fringe') but I do object to Kate (or any celeb, for this is she) being put forward as the height of femininity when it's all chuffin' fake. Fake hair, fake teeth, fake smooth forehead.

That said, I'd be asking for ALL the help if I were her and being scrutinised on a daily basis.

It's a dichotomy.

(But she dresses badly and needs to ditch nude anything).

I don't think I'm seeing the same pictures, I think she looks beautiful Confused

But then again I'm a fat frumpy mess who'd chew her own arm off to look like her Grin

I agree - she's gorgeous and I don't think any of the MNetters criticising her could hold a candle to her, in looks or style Grin

To all those saying she needs to ease up on the eyeliner- it's fucking tattooed on so she'd have a quare job getting it off!

She looks alright. I used to have total hair envy but now I think she needs a change. And this quasi fringe thing doesn't constitute a change.

She doesn't dress like a woman in her early thirties; if she was ten years older she'd be on point but I wish she'd take a few more risks. We have so many great young designers in Britain, she should be helping to showcase that instead of dressing like her mum. The dress and shoes her ma had on when they went in the hospital to see her after she had George- she has that outfit! Although I suppose you're going to be somewhat constrained when a woman in her late eighties is critiquing your wardrobe.

Tattooed eyeliner? But what if you change your mind?

Good point about her mum Craic I saw one fawning piece about her borrowing clothes from her mum.

If the Queen was critiquing her outfits I imagine we'd all see a lot less thigh and arse. Or maybe it's because of the multiple flashings that the woman in her late eighties is critiquing...

How do you know that her hair has extensions and her eyeliner is tattooed on?

I agree that the current hairstyle and the eye makeup are ageing.

The problem is, regardless of how she looks she will be criticised.

WipsGlitter · 18/09/2015 09:14

A quick google and it does look as if it is tattoed on. And she's had her gnashers done. But given the scrutiny she is under - can you blame her?

I'm going to sound really old fashioned here but I think, as a mother and a member of the royal family on duty, the time for going around with long un-dressed hair really is over. Her long hair reminds me of me and my daughter - we both had long brown hair and did little with it. So much better now that my hair is bobbed and my daughter has a pixie cut.

I don't mean Kate should get all her hair cut off, but she should put it up for official duties. I have never seen her look better than she did for Charlotte's christening when she had her hair up in a very elegant bun.

Very strange haircut, must be growing out thing. Doesn't all that hair annoy her? My mum used to make me wear my hair long as a child, and I couldn't wait to have it in a grown up style. And do I think if we all had her money and time we'd look just as good, probably better. She needs to eat more, she's not naturally thin - I suspect an eating disorder there. Maybe she needs to get out more?

I find her intensely boring. But then in her position ( hardly a job) that may be an advantage. I do think she has extensions fwiw.

pictish · 18/09/2015 10:19

It's the same as the old one with a slight fringe.

BodieBroadus · 18/09/2015 11:24

I'd never thought much about the eyeliner but now looking at pictures it does look tattooed on. There is so much pressure on her to look how people want her to look, she can never get it right and sadly she is bound to keep trying to "fix" herself. She's a really pretty young woman without the fixing, what a shame.

Bland, I'm sure she's lovely however she's just beige to me!

Well, OP, We are entitled tto our opinion and as you haven't seen any of us that's something you will just have to tell yourself to make yourself feel better (incidentally not something I believe for me, either!)

I thought she lacked colour, looked worn and I agree, she isn't beautiful, but she is attractive.

Floisme · 18/09/2015 12:00

I wouldn't have noticed the fringe. I think she looks fine. It's not my style (and I'm her mother's age) but then I don't live her life.

I don't see the point of criticising her for sticking to a safe look - that's the whole point surely? She's married to a leading establishment figure so I think we can assume she's pretty conventional in her outlook. Why expect her to dress otherwise?

Sausagesforteatime · 18/09/2015 12:05

I think she is very very attractive but I don't find her beautiful.

Her eye make up is dreadful and I cannot understand why she doesn't get a professional in to coach her, or just bloody do it for her.

Her teeth look fake now.

And she is astonishingly thin.

Report
howtorebuild · 18/09/2015 12:08

I thought she cut a fringe in and is growing it out. Lots of people experiment with a fringe as their forehead starts to show signs of ageing. I note she wears hats that cover her forehead. I guess as she stops feeding and breeding, she will start to botox, if her wrinkles bother her.

Nice dress, she does like to expose her legs.

I wonder if she has a touch of PND. In the pictures where she isn't actually talking to anyone, she looks exhausted and anxious. She has got crazily thin again like she did after having George.

I don't have an issue with the thigh split - she is wearing tights.
