Countdown to Christmas princessing

Helgathehairy · 31/08/2015 11:58

Just a short message. Every year (well for the last 3 anyway) I have started a thread for a princessing countdown to Christmas. It runs for 100 days to take us up to Christmas Eve. I'll do a proper message and links later as I need the laptop. This is the "anyone interested" thread

Yes indeedy
Wedges tiara firmly onto short wavy (needs the roots done) hair in preparation (I DO actually have a tiara BTW Grin )

I need to firm up (and lose some weight, but its not a quick process)

Looking into getting one of those "NoNo" hair removers but the reviews are mixed

I need to sort my eyebrows (ie never be seen in public without drawing them in Blush ) or get them done permenantly (though its ££)

This will be my last Christmas as a 40-something, next year is the Big 5-0 Shock

TurnOffTheTv · 31/08/2015 12:06

Absolutely!

BiddyPop · 31/08/2015 12:14

YES!!

I am starting to need more maintenance and actually have written in my planner to book various appointments next week!!

WaxyBean · 31/08/2015 12:45

Yes I'm in

ApologiseForAnotherDay · 31/08/2015 12:47

Yes! Usually just lurk but will try to post this year

PunkPenguin · 31/08/2015 13:19

Yes please. The run up to Christmas is all about me for once! Grin
Starting a renovation me project with diet, exercise, etc.

I have just had my first mani/pedi in years and really enjoyed the time to myself and feeling groomed.

70is - I am rather sparse of brow and dying them seemed to highlight just how little was there? What is the £££ sort them out option please?

PunkPenguin · 31/08/2015 13:19

Thank you for starting this Helga.

MagpieCursedTea · 31/08/2015 13:27

I'm in! I've always fancied joining in one of these threads but I've only just started to remember to moisturise with any regularity so not sure how good at it I'd be. Will give it my best shot!

PrimalLass · 31/08/2015 13:37

Yes please. When is 100 days before? Mid Sept?

SomebodyWillGetHurt · 31/08/2015 13:58

I'm in!

MadeMan · 31/08/2015 14:03

I'm a man, so I don't think I need to do anything, do I?

I might floss my teeth or something.

Blodss · 31/08/2015 14:14

What is "Princessing"??

Jackie0 · 31/08/2015 14:17

I'm interested , I think Wink

blueemerald · 31/08/2015 14:18

I'm in. Going to be in Australia for Christmas (meeting DP's family!) and would love to be a bit spruced up for my "second summer"!

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 31/08/2015 14:21

You could Prince yourself, MM.

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 31/08/2015 14:22

But yeah, I'm in. Have followed the previous threads but not posted. Am feeling rather unglam lately. Have never had a salon facial but do exfoliate and mask at home.

MadeMan · 31/08/2015 14:29

"You could Prince yourself, MM."

Okay then, every Friday night down the wine and karaoke bar singing Purple Rain.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 31/08/2015 14:41

I'm in too, every year I promise I'll lose this last stone and go to the ball returns to sweeping the cinders whistfully while nibbling peanut M&M's

RevealTheHiddenBeach · 31/08/2015 14:43

Today my princessing has been plaiting my unwashed hair and painting fungal treatment on my big toenail. I think I need to sign up!

Helgathehairy · 31/08/2015 14:45

Yay - lots of people! Sorry for posting and running but 2 year old DD complains if I'm on the phone. At my mums right now but connection is rubbish. I'll try to get the laptop later.

A few things 70 the Nono is supposed to be rubbish. I'm saving for a Philips lumina.

The main point of this "pre- princessing" thread is to decide on a list of things you want to do during the challenge. It's all about little steps.

mademan you just made me laugh out loud. Maybe we can come up with a list for you. Changing your name to a squiggle could be on there.

Ok, as it's an autumn winter one I want to:
Lose 7lb by mid Oct and another 7lb by Christmas Eve
Be vaguely non hairy most of the time Grin
Keep looking after my skin (see the thread running re looking best at 40)
Wear powder, mascara and eyeliner every day
Sort out my hideous bitten nails
Tone up my stomach and bingo wings

Chottie · 31/08/2015 15:53

Yes please, signing up :)

FollyFaunts · 31/08/2015 16:04

I'm in!
I've been too scared to open the thread about looking best at 40 because I'm 10 years older than that!
I have a phillips lumea and will aim to carry on with that, plus weight loss of a stone.

PurpleSkyatthewateringhole · 31/08/2015 16:08

Followed the previous threads and proud to say I'm a princess everyday. Loving getting into a bed with smooth legs, some perfume, and about fifteen different creams for face, neck, décolletage, hands, feet, etc. nails are long and always manicured. Toe nails are done. My glow all down to year round use of garnier summer body and sunscreen. Still struggling to loose the last 10lbs though.

Karcheer · 31/08/2015 16:12

I'm in, but I'm starting tomorrow which'll be 114 days to Christmas, is everyone ok if I start using the thread two weeks early?
