Anyone discovered any great fashion blogs recently?

There seem to be so many fashion blogs now but I haven't found any recently that make me thing wow, great blog I can get inspiration from.

Love Pinterest but like blogs for links/instant info on where items are from. Gone off WIT now constantly pushing her wardrobe icons site and J Crew, school gate/run etc not my thing at all, Find DMBL40 patronising. A few I used to like stopped posting often and I lost interest.

Am 34, 2 DC and still like to make an effort, like to mix high street and odd higher end items.

Any ideas? Smile

No, nothing of interest recently, I'm bored of dmbl40, haven't felt inspired to buy anything I've seen there for months. I like Eve from All Worn Out, but she doesn't post too often.
Looking for suggestions too.

MNetter15 · 30/08/2015 10:48

I like Ystyle on Facebook. She's Irish based but we have mainly UK stores anyway. Primark is Penneys in Ireland.

Also looking for ideas Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/08/2015 11:28

DMBL40 is just a whole load of lists nowadays. Yawn.
WIT drives me bonkers.
Eve is lovely but I don't like many of her clothing choices.

I prefer Pintrest - I can't afford lots of the stuff posted on blogs anyway, so prefer to get ideas and then try to find things myself.

Sillybillymuckypup · 30/08/2015 13:07

I like

WipsGlitter · 30/08/2015 15:19

I find the relentless consumerism and buy more, buy more message in them depressing. Plus a lot of them seem to have very well off husbands so it comes over as a bit "hobby" blog.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/08/2015 15:21

Would be so much more interesting if they showed different ways of wearing the same things etc. I really like Unfancy but she's taking a break from blogging.

GeorginaWorsley · 30/08/2015 15:25

I like those listed above, came across the Brighton one on a link from the Mint Velvet site months ago.
I like Online Stylist as she wears pared down simple stuff that I like
I still read DMBL 40 but don't like ripped jeans and logo sweatshirts type looks, I prefer a more classic Parisian type look myselfGrin

Kennington · 30/08/2015 19:03

Garence dore
The sartorialist

All models though

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/08/2015 19:08

I rarely look at blogs nowadays. WIT just makes me laugh. Eve is of course lovely though.

Tend to watch vlogs more and have actually gone back to magazines. Still like pinterest and instagram though.

BrendaandEddie · 30/08/2015 19:14

they are all the same

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/08/2015 19:16

They are. I also tend to buy less but more £££ now so research stuff more. A lot of blogs are just too much disposable fashion which I'm not really into.

BrendaandEddie · 30/08/2015 19:16

I am sure they might be nice etc ( does that matter?)but Eve's clothes just look awful, dont suit her at all and a bit try hard.

Dmbl - agree with everyone else BORING of logo sweatshirts and ripped jeans and those horrific coatigans and that shitting dog.

poppys style mimes a zip action

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/08/2015 19:20

The dog is cute to be fair.

BrendaandEddie · 30/08/2015 19:26

once.

cute, once

GeorginaWorsley · 30/08/2015 19:27

Grin at Brenda
Agree with Mrs CB I am trying to buy only what I love not disposable fashion. I like the things The Frugality wears but not exactly frugal!
I like Wear and Where to as not just poses of new clothes but articles to read.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/08/2015 19:29

I like the frugality but agree her idea of frugal is not mine.

Brenda - you are funny. I would like to see you on instagram.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/08/2015 19:29

I only really like jigsaw on the high street now.

everythingsgoingsouth · 30/08/2015 19:35

"my midlife fashion" is good..mix of price ranges, normal day to day looks. really nice accessories (which I am crap at, so it helps)

GeorginaWorsley · 30/08/2015 19:35

Yes I like Jigsaw at the moment too.
Plus Whistles but they ££££.
I like Finery London as well.

louloubelle2 · 30/08/2015 19:47

sillybillymuckypup similar to brightonstylememos, you might like Style and Wellbeing by Brittany something (sorry can't link). Minimalist and a lot of Cos (which I like, so don't bother if that makes your teeth itch with anger).

Remus I agree, it would be great for blogs to go back to being online diaries, with people sharing their existing wardrobe styled in multiple ways for real everyday occasions. Since retailers have jumped on bloggers as cheap advertising, many have lost their integrity and are all about making money as soon as they become popular. A vicious circle really and a hard temptation to resist I'm sure.

DMBL40 infuriates me, I think she's naturally quite glam, her evening wear looks are fabulous for example (although I can't relate to dressing up to go to and sit in someone's house for dinner), but she so keen on trying all the latest trends, it all looks a bit try-hard.

lurkingaround · 30/08/2015 20:24

Another here that finds the vast majority a bit irritating. One woman, one wardrobe, hard to keep it interesting.
Although in fairness it takes a LOT of chutzpah to put yourself out there like that.

Love Instagram.
Someone here, ages ago, mentioned catealkschoolgates (I think). London based. Hilarious in a way. All v serious.

BrendaandEddie · 30/08/2015 20:26

lol at chuffing instagram

WipsGlitter · 30/08/2015 20:31

catwalkschoolgates. Indeed. Lots of pouting and smouldering at the camera. Again husband obviously loaded.

WIT still needs a proofreader.
