Anyone discovered any great fashion blogs recently?

There seem to be so many fashion blogs now but I haven't found any recently that make me thing wow, great blog I can get inspiration from.

Love Pinterest but like blogs for links/instant info on where items are from. Gone off WIT now constantly pushing her wardrobe icons site and J Crew, school gate/run etc not my thing at all, Find DMBL40 patronising. A few I used to like stopped posting often and I lost interest.

Am 34, 2 DC and still like to make an effort, like to mix high street and odd higher end items.

Any ideas? Smile

I think DMBL does lots of links because links = ££££££

lurkingaround · 30/08/2015 20:41

Wips yes she's a hoot! All the serious posing. And clearly has oodles of time. And loadsa wonga.

BrendaandEddie · 30/08/2015 20:54

but its just endless screenshots of websites I can look at

apart from workwear edit NONE Of them have to go to a RL job where people might take umbrage at coatigans and dogs ==and HORRENDOUS baggy boyfriend jeans with rips in that make you look way fatter than you are Eve--

I agree , guys less about the frickin family with comedy names ' rugrat 1' or whaever and just do the clothes

BrendaandEddie · 30/08/2015 20:54

and i cant even cross out

GeorginaWorsley · 30/08/2015 21:33

I love Cos so off to browse above recommendations!

jaybeeyellow · 31/08/2015 11:22

I came across one called High on Luxe. Not sure that she actually blogs any more. An interesting lady, but she [or hubby!] appear to have mega dosh. Talks about high street etc, and then slips in Chanel handbags etc. Her instagram is something else. Holiday home in Marbs, plus regular visits to The Ocean Club. Google the prices! Love looking at her pics for pure escapism. And she has the most fantastic figure!

BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 31/08/2015 13:56

Reading this thread, I realised I read so many blogs!

My favourite recent find is the edited

A few that haven't been mentioned that might fit the OP's brief:
school run style

Fashion Mum of 40 - she seems to follow buy less, buy better.

Re-style blog

This one has quite particular personal style but she does wear stuff again and buys her own stuff:

What Lou wore (I think she is a MNetter as well)

And a few leftfield ones:

This isn't a style blog per se but I love her style (she posts outfits once a week) and she does a capsule wardrobe:
This mom's gonna snap (US based)

Again not a style blog only but I like her style when she does post outfits:
Musings from a London mum

These 2 have interesting articles, not just outfits / fashion (though there is some of that too):
the women's room
that's not my age

EldonAve · 31/08/2015 14:14

cocomamastyle.com/

lurkingabit · 31/08/2015 15:11

The Edited is v professional. As is That's Not My Age. Like them.
I see schoolrunstyle on IG. Like her style.

BrendaandEddie · 31/08/2015 15:24

coco mama looks quite....er mundane

Lol at her pigeon toes

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/08/2015 15:31

Just had a look at those. I like some of Musings' style, but she is v young.

The Edited looks pretty much identical to The Online Stylist imho. I don't like much of what she's wearing but agree that it's v professional.

Fashion Mum of 40 pretty much identical to DMBL40 used to be, before she discovered baggy jeans and dungarees. I like a lot of it, but not the white midi dresses. The jeans outfits are nice - sensible and maybe a bit 'mum' but smarter versions of what most people around here tend to fall back on day to day.

Don't like School Run Style.

Lordy that heart stopping moment you notice a surge in visits from Mumsnet Grin

Thanks Bernice, I think "particular personal style" is a good thing...?

My current favourite is Blue Collar Red Lipstick in Canada. Two kids and an office job, thrifts a lot too. Also Forever Amber and Respect the Shoes (US - also in an office based job) and on Instagram "Knickers Models Own". Works in a Cancer Research shop so wears all CR finds.

I have far too many blogs in my Bloglovin and really need to cull a few!

EldonAve · 31/08/2015 18:18

maisonbentleystyle.com/ not solely fashion

Stevie77 · 31/08/2015 19:53

I'm quite liking Re-Style at the moment. I like that she's a fellow northerner so there's not too much of the London-hipster-style favoured by the likes of The Frugality. She just seems like a lady who likes fashion but it doesn't seem to rule her life, if it makes sense.

There's a big bit of me that bulks at the excessive consumerism, as a previous poster noted so well, and the ME ME ME ME ME of it all. Which is why I've dumped DMBL40 ages ago and why I wince at Poppy's Style.

AmberNectarine · 31/08/2015 19:56

Brenda you do make me laugh.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/08/2015 19:58

I wish they'd just post a picture of the outfit and not bother with the writing, or the relentless pictures and lists of STUFF.

Had a little look at Re:Style and like a lot of it - simple and unpretentious.

AmberNectarine · 31/08/2015 20:00

I like Susie So So, I must say. She's my favourite.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/08/2015 20:00

the lists are so dull. I never look at doesmybum - just too boring and also very different tastes.

Her sponsored posts are always so obvious. I wish she'd actually write a bit more about when she makes a £££ purchase but she seems to try and downplay these.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/08/2015 20:01

Hence me not reading anymore as it all felt a bit dishonest. She posts loads of cheap crap but never buys it herself.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/08/2015 20:02

Agree Susie's blog is very good and she doesn't do sponsored posts/spend crazy amounts.

Almahart · 31/08/2015 20:03

Love Susie So So. Wish she posted a bit more often

AmberNectarine · 31/08/2015 20:04

I sometimes look at DMBL40 but agree there are too many list posts.

MsBojangles · 31/08/2015 20:05

Was very enamoured with DMBL40 when I first found her a couple of years ago but she's lost whatever mojo she had - it's all endless sack dresses and oversized cardigans, baggy jeans and hideously unflattering shorts now.

The blonde highlights are doing nothing for her either.

AmberNectarine · 31/08/2015 20:05

I think what makes Sue's blog so good is that she is so very likeable herself and her blog is a representation of that.
